Wait, who's cutting onions?
The audio is kinda messed up, i can't hear the voice actors clearly
This never really made me cry. I found Ragnars Death way tougher. + Lagatha
When does the season 6B comes out on DVD???
Only character i loved is Ragnar Rest re Rapists, plunders who put England and France on Dark ages🤮
@@Vladklx basically what France and England did to their colonies
Ivar wasn't afraid of death, he was afraid to be forgotten that's why Hvitserk tells him that no one will ever forget Ivar the boneless. Such a great scene well done to the whole team involved!
Always been my interpretation as well, respect too you all the way
Thank you! Nowi get it
They said thanks
And now look at Ivar the Boneless, immortalized by history and by this very show. It’s beautiful, really
Who? Jk :v
"I'm afraid"
"I won't tell anyone"
Wow.... Just brilliant
One day everyone will know of
Ivar the Boneless …
That line.. he was a child for a moment. What a character and Hvitserk too, they nailed it
This shows how a music can make a scene 100 times better

He was afraid of being forgotten, yet we remember him more than a thousand years later.
Doubt the real ivar worried about that
@@nikolasvitlica267 He might have been. Every ruler must have had at least some ambition to be remembered.
‘we’, being the viewers of vikings, don’t remember him accurately, he wasn’t actually so crippled in real life
@@___hy It is not certain, if you look at the texts it is said that boneless can be associated with infertility. But he could have also been a criple.
@@MakelliStudio he was called the "boneless" cause he was a agile fighter... atleast thats what my scandanavian friends say
I know it’s up for debate, but for me that scene where he is imitating the warriors around him is so powerful. For me it shows how mighty a warrior Ivar would have been without his disability, almost a view of what he could have been.
Agreed.
To quote from Ragnar, he's great not despite that but because of that!!
Shows Ivar was a God in his own powers
He is the essence of the Viking spirit....I think the manipulating of his men is supposed to show how great of a tactician he was, always leading his warriors in the right direction under his command. Go back and watch their invasion of York when he is yelling at the saxon soldiers by himself on the ground....it's almost as if Ubbe and the rest of the vikings are gravitated towards him as his Viking spirit is on full display, similar to this scene. Yes, Ragnar was an amazing unparalleled performance but Ivar's ark is the reason I kept watching after Ragnar's death and boy was it worth it just to see this scene. It will never not give me chills.
Agreed
I get goosebumps every time ivar says "I'm Ivar the boneless"
It makes me gringe.

Who?
@@peteradams7457 Ivar the boneless..
He was so ruthless & scheming all the time.
@@peteradams7457 not you
Ivar isn't "imitating" anyone. This whole battle is chess; each of his warriors a pawn. Every attack they make is Ivar's move.
Exactly.
I never thought of it like that but it makes sense given that it literally how they formulated the plan for this battle in the show
Every slash of the sword was planned by him?? Okay.... 😂
@@andg_rodg_4_real710 yeah I’m glad you agree

i think my favourite part about this scene is the absolute respect the other army gives to them, they lost the best warrior and leader they had and they stopped just to give their tribute to ivar. i love it
Because once Iver played chess with him . emotionally touched since childhood.
You can hate a man to his core, but still respect his traits.
They played chess
The king fell
It's over
His first crying utterances was mine, but yeah, dude shut it down.
I think the saxons where just too afraid to disrespect him.
"Your eyes are blue Ivar!". "Not today, not today Ivar, no.. " 💙

I dont think any show or movie made me cry as much as this episode. One of the greatest tv shows of all time.

What episode was this
Agreed man only show that ever made me cry n it was this scene, teared up a little when he spoke. Too Ragnar in captivity too aha
You should watch peaky blinders the show has some of the best writing I’ve ever seen and the finale was beautiful
This scene makes me cry every time. 😭
same there
Ivar grew so much as a character they all did i think the character development was awesome. 😎👍
The moment where that little Saxon soldier stands in front of Ivar really shows how large Ivar was. I don't mean physically, but symbolically, the music stops, and here's this unnamed soldier, just another cog in the machine standing in front of a legend. It was like staring into the vastness of the dark abyss, knowing that before you is someone so unfathomably great that you can't help but feel paralyzed by it's greatness.
From “don’t you know who i am?” to “you know who i am!” Fame travels far❤️
"You know who i am” One of the best scenes. Hail ívarr!
Not going to lie, I was not a huge fan of Ivar at first but ended up loving him and cried like a baby watching this
Ew
Even after years of watching Viking how can one ever forget IVAR - THE BONELESS - his brain , his rage , his craze , his determination , his ambitions and even his fears and shortcomings.
He is a great Viking and probably my favourite character unfortunately didn't achieve as much as Ragnar and Bjorn but great iconic character and probably Ragnar's 2nd most famous son
I think we can all admit that ivar gives the best monologues during battle! His best is still the scene where he’s knocked off his chariot and starts raging at the army in front of him and they are all terrified! Hail ivar
That 1 is 1 of my favorites
That courtyard scene is definitely my favourite scene with him
"I love you brother " dude this scene broken my hearth
It brokeneth my harteth too! 🥺
Something that just hit me, Hvitserk told Ivar, your eyes are blue today, as his way of saying that he always cared about him and loved his brother.
And ivar decided to step in when he realized hvisterk was getting tired and might end up dying in battle so he sacrificed himself instead
Ivar's eyes turning blue was symbolism for him being in grave danger in the series, hence "not today".
That 2:29" valhalla scream" is so deep i alway shed a tear at that moment..😔
“ don’t be afraid “ always gets me 😢😢😢😢
Vikings always in my heart. I love Ivar
When Ivar gives his speech he literally says :,, You can't beat us !". And Alfred's face is like :,, We're screwed ". Foreshadowing Vikings Valhalla. When Alfred heard what Ivar was saying and seeing how he was fighting and screaming he realised that the Vikings would not give up ever.
The Vikings lost in the end though , their culture is almost completely lost while Christianity has thrived since. I love the show and I don't like that things have happened like this but facts are facts
There are so very few scenes in shows that can stir the kind of raw emotion this scene does. The very human moment of fear in Ivar in the end despite all his boasting and posturing is so hard to swallow. The way the fighting stopped to watch one of the last Ragnar-esque men of legend pass on, I would love to use this scene as a way to get more people to watch the show but it wouldn't hit the same without knowing all the history and character development. This just motivates me more to invent my memory wiping machine to wipe the memory of this show from my brain so I can see it all over again.
Man once you get that invented and wipe your memory can you please send it my way so I can wopen mine
"YOU CAN INVENT ALL THE MACHINES TO WIPE OFF YOUR MEMORY OF ANYTHING! BUT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IVAR THE BONELESS!"
-Ivar, probably
Be it once you memory wipe you’ll forget about your memory wipe device
“How the little piggies will grunt when they hear how the old Boar suffered”

Absolutely everything, it’s almost full circle for Ragnar’s legacy. He knew Ivar would lead the heathen army he also knew his eventual fate. Don’t u remember the conversation between Ragnar/Egbert regarding their sons?

This was and still is the greatest viking show ever man the first few seasons with Ragnar Lothbrok gave me chills, tears, and the viking spirit each episodes ❤ then the introduction of Bjorn Ironside had many epic battles tht made me respect the Vikings alot more!!
so heart breaking that he is crying in pain because he thinks that he is a freak because of his dissebility but in the end atleast he got what he wanted fame and the love what his brother gave him and he died like a hero.
I love Vikings, from Ragnar, to the writing, even the last 2 seasons were great IMO, this scene shows why, R.I.P IVAR, what an amazing character
Vikings was a very very very great series. Its use of iconography/symbolism, which is what made Game of Thrones so popular, really made it something special.
Especially season 5 episode 15; „when I saw that deer“ that’s the greatest symbolism and one of the most epic scenes in the entire series! Extremely clever!
How dare you compare the filth of GOT to this masterpiece.

I love imagining Ragnar’s ghost watching Ivar’s last stand and speech. He’d be so freaking proud.
One of the best scenes in tv history? Ivars arc was incredible. Hated, to worshipped.

Eventually there will be no one left to remember and all the monuments and statues will reconstitute into the Earth.
Sorry, I'm feeling cynical.
Epic music! Phenomenal endings for Ragnar, Ivar & Bjorn.
You can’t forge ubbe he did what ragnar dreamed of doing after all his success
Ivar and Alfred's character development throughout this show were so unique and awesome.
Ivar's speech and the song made the scene look epic
This gives me goosebumps everytime i watch it :(
Hands down the best show on TV !
Here's a man who's fears didn't bury him but instead made him immortal.
When people ask me who the main character of Vikings is I tell them Ragnar, til Ivar shows up then he owns the show
Lol
Ragnars last word to him, made him who he was
Absolutely right. Ivar commands the show and it's purposefully done that way. Everything from Alex's absolute domination with his acting to the script and all in-between supports that.
Wish they made him the main character like they did Ragnar since Ivar is the most popular Viking in rl
Ivar being most feared Vikings and most famous Vikings 👍👍🤲
What a scene, what a show.
If you ask me he was not imitating the warriors he was actually controlling them.
Agreed. It was more like he was marionetting them than copying - they were simply the puppets and Ivar was pulling their strings
They were pawns in ivars game of chess symbolically
Ah yes, visual symbolism. The thing that makes cinema, well, cinema.
thats not impossible in this series, after all Ivar was odin's descendent

Ivar was always my favorite ever since he was introduced, and when they got older and he started to be more ruthless i just liked him even more, im a grown man and i can honestly say i cried when he died
You don't have to tell us you're a grown man to validate your crying. It's ok to cry, regardless of age or gender.
Same here, Ivar always been my favorite since the beginning, He was ruthless but that was because his father told him to be he was absolutely amazing and I loved him the most...
1:15 one of the most goosebump moments that give you life lessons
Best series I ever watched
One of the best characters in the show. Well developed. Great actor portrayal.

Ragnar, like king Arthur, is a legend. How much truth residing behind that legend will never be known.
Wardruna - Vindavla is the masterpiece in the background of this absolutely unforgettable scene... if anyone is wondering.
In my life Vikings series is always memorable
Best tv show ever
The ruthless vikings of all say's, "I'm Afraid, I'm Afraid" 💔

Ivar the Boneless …🖤
This season shows there relationship is true form. They hated each other, played games against each other. But they LOVED each other
And the song is vindalva wardruna for all my Norse brothers and sisters
The best and my most powerful scene in my opinion
This scene made me cry when I first saw it
Ivar is one of my favorite character cause he have gone through a lot because of his disability and the death of his mother. When his father Ragnar Lothbrok ask him to be ruthless to his enemy he did exactly that. I also like the fact that Hvitserk never left his disabled brother Ivar's side. if it wasn't for him he would have died long time ago. At the end Ivar changed for good and decided to join his family in Valhalla at Asgard. All the characters in Vikings did a good job. It is definitely one of my favorite history drama series along side Game of thrones.
Valar morghulis.
Lo, There do I see my Father
Lo, There do I see my Mother and
My Brothers and my Sisters
Lo, There do I see the line of my people back to the beginning
Lo, They do call to me
They bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla
Where thine enemies have been vanquished
Where the brave shall live Forever
Nor shall we mourn but rejoice for those that have died the glorious death.
Unfortunately he was more ruthless to his family and own ppl which I’m pretty sure his father didn’t want
The viking era died when the greatest viking died. Feast well in valhalla, ivarr.
Wish they made Ivar a main character like they did Ragnar.. instead of splitting it with Ubbe and others
Miss this show already
His name still lived on for thousands years past and will live on for thousands years more.
The greatest scene I have ever seen in my life.
This scene was epic
It was sad how floki knew ivar was dieing
Ivar knew what the soldiers will do next like an uchiha. Very sharp brain👍
He really is the same type of antihero as Madara.
Legendary scene
It took me awhile to like the whole what Ivar did someone else does. It's a very artistic way of showing he's a tactician, and also referencing the chess scene with Alfred. That's all this is, one big chess game.
This death was senseless, although it was very upsetting. I think that the series was very accelerated at the end.
Agreed. I didn’t even know they were losing that bad lol
This final was 120% better than game of trone
This is how Jamie Lannister should of went out =p and or grey worm
HE WAS CLASSED AS BEING WEEK AND HE PROVED Them wrong. And he did that's why he let his brother escape he had done what he wanted to do and was ready for what ever fait came his way and died a true worry ❤❤❤
the whole fight he was just standing, talking and waiting to get stabbed lol.
RIP IVAR 💔😢
Ivar was my second fav character hoping to see the actor more in the future.
The amount of respect that Alfred had for his enemys is insane
I didn’t even watch the show and Im tearing up
