- What is Choked Flow? Choked flow is defined as the point at which increasing the pressure drop (AP), while maintaining a constant inlet pressure (P1), yields no further increase in flow rate. Note: It is important to note that this definition assumes a fixed flow area.

Very well explained
Very useful explanation.! BIG Thanks for ALL your videos. Excellent WORK . Proud to be C&I Er
Thanks for this clip. It makes the concept of flashing very clear. Before i strugeled to understan.
Thank you very much. Easiest way to learn about chocked flow.
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Hi Asad,
Could you heighlites on allowed velocity when it comes to gas, liquid and steam service.
I believe it would be greater than pipe velocity
E.g. Gas pipe line allows 25-30m/s but in control valve it will be allowed around 90m/s
I appreciate this video..
Very clear explanation!
So Glad to know, it was helpful ! 😊 do let me know if any other topic would be of help to you!!

Happy learning and Do share your feedback !!!
Really like your channel, there are lot of simple fundamentals that I&C engineer should know. Please do more videos also related to systems like DCS, PLC and Scada
Sure , Thank you for such an amazing comment 😊
Nice & very helpful video…& keeps add out of way is also very good approach
Glad you liked it . I plan never to earn through advertisements in the future as well 😊
Asad
So you mean in liquid cavitation happens before chok flow ?
Please make a video on the control valve data sheet, what parameters mention and how to study data sheet
Sir please make video on control valve rangibility 100:1 and 50:1 etc .
ماشاءاللہ
Jazakallah for your feedback 😊
Great work bro. Can u pls make a detailed video on Instrumentation design and deliverables
Sure 😊 Any specific deliverable you would want to know about.
Currently i am working on making video about Level Sketches
Great explanation.I had a question. If we are increasing the pressure drop by decreasing the downstream pressure how does the pressure decreases at the vena contracta of the valve as upstream pressure is still constant?
Case 1: when sonic velocity reached.
Then when decreasing the downstream pressure, no impact on vena contracta. As sonic velocity is reached.
Case 2 : when sonic velocity is not reached.
When downstream pressure is decreased, there will be increase in velocity of gas thorough it. As there is a greater pressure difference.
sir two request
1).please make a video on ANSI , ASME and ASTM.
What is it ?
Why we use it ?
What are the difference?
How all three are related ?
2. Rangability in EQ%, 100:1, 50:1, 30:1.
Why the opening is increasing as we increases?
Sure , Thank you for your comment 😊
Sir pls reply.... can u pls tell me then how come, for maximum flow rate there is minimum pressure difference in control valve and for min flow rate there is maximum pressure difference in control valve, as pressure difference and flow are directly proportional.
Food for thought : Search about "vena contracta" concept in Orifice . What is exactly vena contracta If you will understand that concept then your above query will get solved.
Match 1
Thoda hindi bhi use kar lete pls😊😊😊
Chocked -----------> Choked
Your are correct i missed to remove the C ,Thanks !!😊👌
