NFS ProStreet - Can I Beat Ryo using Bad/"Odd" Car Choices?

Just to note that some of these cars like the Evo 9 may be good or decent at best, but I'm just not great at driving them. Also some cars like the Ford GT which are just completely unsuitable for the discipline I used them in (drift in this case). And then you have cars like the bouncy Challenger and Krieger's M3 which are complete nightmares to drive.
Also I left out a few races that imo just weren't all that interesting to save video runtime. But here were my choices:
- Speed Challenge: Nate Denver's GTO, '67 Camaro, '71 Challenger
- Wheelie: DB9
- Drag: Leon Cupra (not in video)
- Grip: Evo 9, Camaro Concept (not in video), Ray's M3
- Drift: 240SX (great car but you'll see why I used it), Ford GT

Ryo totals his car so much that you could probably beat him with the starting 240SX if you restarted a few times 😆

Challenge: 1. Beat Ray Krieger using a Lexus IS 350. 2. Beat Aki Kimura using a stock Mazda RX-7. 3. Beat Nate Denver using a Chevrolet Chevelle SS. 4. Beat Karol Manroe using a Plymouth Hemi Cuda.

Also hemi cuda is the fastest car for drag I believe, but it's very hard to controll too
Aki Kimura stock 240sx no problem, Karol Manroe EK civic drag you can do it.

It's interesting how some cars are just unable to score drift points even when you're clearly doing good
I'm currently doing a nuzzlocke 100% all records run through Prostreet, and I'm beginning to do the Superpromotion stuff now, Im terrified for Nevada
How does an NFS Nuzlocke work?
@@jakethreesixty in the case of Prostreet atleast, if a car is totaled, i cannot repair it, and i cannot buy a replacement of the same model.
Prize cars are counted as unique, so the 240SX from the car lot is independent from Ryan Coopers 240SX.
Only one car across all race types, so if i want a 240SX for drifting thats not Ryan Coopers 240SX, I can only have that one, instead of one for each race type.
Free cars from the DLC are not allowed unless its the last options, free car markers count as extra lives considering how rare they are.
When I buy a car I have to actually put some time into customizing it so I feel a connection to the car.
The ultimate goal is to have every track record across all events, as well as beating said event records. A total 100% domination of the carreer.
Ive found these restrictions to be too easy, so Im thinking of ways to make it even harder and making heavy damage more punishing in the future.
Best of luck! ProStreet nuzlocke was a real challenge for me once I got to Nevada I started losing everything 💀

Challenge run would be beating Ryo with only the 67' GT500 in every mode. I don't know what they did with it, but it's probably the absolute worst vehicle overall when you consider it costs $125,000 and is terrible in every mode (Pepega Edition made it far cheaper and buffed its performance significantly).
Granted, I think using Nate Denver and Ray Krieger's cars in their respective race modes against Ryo is enough of a challenge in of itself. The latter especially is surprisingly given how its understeer problems are so pronounced the E92 ends up being one of the worst Grip cars in the game.
EDIT: I also think another potential challenge could be having Ryo using his CCX from Shift PSP instead, but the Evo X is already an amazing car in Grip anyways soo...

Grip 240SX on Ryo is challenging. You need luck and skill.
Speed 240SX lacks of aerodynamics. Brake on hills.
Drift 240SX is pretty straightforward.
Drag 240SX you make the best wheelie.
240SX is actually good though. A real challenge would be using the 67' GT500 or some other vehicle that is terrible in every race type.
@@lourenceheinzflores8723 No? 240SX in Grip has amazing handling and only lacks power (granted, Ryo's Evo X is one of the strongest Grip vehicles in the game since it has grip AND power).
In fact I'd say its only real shortcoming is Speed Challenges, and even there it's more average than outright bad.

I don't know if you accept challenges but I have one for you, I challenge you to defeat Aki Kimura using the Ford Shelby GT500 (2006) with all the level 4 improvements and without any type of adjustment to the vehicle, will you be able to do it?
PS: the only thing you can change to the vehicle is the visual appearance (rims, bodykits, spoilers for example)

Beat the 4 kings (Ray, Nate, Aki, and Carol) using only event reward cars (e.g. Battle Machine drag Cobalt or Civic, Super Promotion's speed challenge R34 or viper)

Oh, without reclassing or making new Blueprints for them? Sounds like an actual challenge because the default tunes for those cars are TERRIBLE. I don't even think Wheelie Competitions are possible since you never get a reward car capable of doing wheelies (the fastest reward car that begins as a Drag car are the IS 350 and Chevelle, both being Battle Machine cars with only light upgrades, let alone Stage 3 suspension).

love the video. I have a problem where the game is black-screened when launching; the audio is there, and when I screen record it, the game shows up on the upper left side of the screen in the video, but on the actual screen, it's just black that slowly brightens but is not displaying any video. I have spent several days trying to fix this, but nothing seems to work. Do you know how to fix this issue?
Hmm I can’t say I’ve dealt w this issue. Are you using Xbox Game Bar, OBS or something else to record? If I know what software you’re using I might be able to help but I haven’t had something like that happen so I don’t know
Nate's GTO is such a shitbox lol. How he was speed king, and not his crew's Zonda driver, I never understood. Actually I agree, the absolute worst king car in the game was Gay Krieger's bmw.

I think the track is actually on Mars, that’s why your car bounces and jumps like the gravity is turned down 62%
I do hate Nevada Highway, but I hate Tokyo Dockyard even more. The tracks are not fun and not easy to race on. I kept losing on the drifting ones no matter what car I used, even when I know what I’m doing.

The car is very slow for acceleration but the top speed is.....Daaaamnnnn, me reaching around 410KM/H on speed challenge mode, dude.... This car only have 424HP but the top speed bro 😳

The Civic CX's main weakness in every mode seems to be its terrible wheelspin issues. It has an impressive power-weight ratio when maxed (566 BHP at Stage 4 with the turbo boost set to max, something you SHOULD do on every vehicle I think) yet is plagued with understeer and sliding.

How's the Lancer Evo IX an odd choice for Grip? It's AWD, so it should be perfect for Grip (although it's very hard to beat Rudy Chen with it).
I did say in the desc. that some cars I just can't drive. Idk why but no matter what setup I use for the Evo IX it just won't turn
also sure it's good for high speed tracks like that one Willow Springs track but other than that I can't drive it for shit

At least Challenger is a beast in drag races. Cuda, OTOH, is a massive disappointment, even in drag.
Still outdrifted Kimura and Ryo in it though.

Beating ryo with nate's car is easy if you cheese it, i punted him into a ditch at the start after which i just cruised until the finish.
Ryo totaled countless times on this run trust me but it felt sooo lame for me to win like that 😂
