Night wing was about 26+ years old at the time of his death, which means that he was batman's son for almost 20 YEARS, he had real attachment to Dick, and obligation/burden to Damian, it's really heartbreaking.
Not to mention, I think the Injustice story line follows the Child of Rape storyline for Damien and Talia. So he lost the son he chose to the son forced onto him
Even here, Bruce cared about Damien as his son to some extent. He hates himself for letting it happen far more than he hates Damien who actually did it.
This was one of Batman's most emotional moments, and genuine proof that Catwoman actually loved him, not just as Batman, but as Bruce, it was heartbreaking
Shedding tears is a natural process, either your happy, sad, or mad. It doesn’t make you a baby…it makes you human. You don’t shed a tear, you don’t have a heart.
Nobody can be "strong" forever. Trying to maintain that sort of facade, even in such a devastating time will only make you more likely to break. We all need to be able to just let it all out and lean on those close to us for support. It's even worse for Bruce as he never truly got over the deaths of his parents, and now Dick is dead too....and even worse it was Damien of all people who accidentally killed him. In a sense, Bruce is still emotionally that scared little boy who just watched his parents get gunned down. And then he loses his first "son"....
No parent should have to bury their child. Ever. A child is your pride and joy, the best thing you could bring into this world, nothing should matter to you more than your child. To have that ripped away forever would kill a huge part of most people
Someone else in the comments said it best: Bruce went through the worst pain a child could endure. Now he's suffering the worst pain a parent could endure
There is a reason why she said that. Because Batman is the personification of Bruce's hatred and lust for vengeance. Therefore, Batman is incapable of mourning, only hatred and vengeance.
That is the love of good woman. “Just let yourself fall apart.” “Don’t worry, I’ll hold you together.” A woman like that is a true gift from God. You find one like that you hold on tight, love her with everything you’ve got and never let go.
i mean yes but like your partner should not be the only person in your life offering that level of emotional support - that's not fair on her. it should really go friend > partner > therapist depending on how serious the issue is but a lot of men rely on their female partner for everything and no amount of love or empathy stops that being unfair
Then you’re wasting your time and clearly don’t know the difference between a girl and woman. Or are only capable of attracting self centered girls and not a caring woman.
@@zaer-ezartIf your partner sees you become emotional and cry about something and decides to leave you because of that then they're pathetic and didn't care enough about you to support you. True love is strong and committed. Fake love is flimsy and easily blown away.

@chinupofficial4421 nah this was just the one people noticed there had been several evil JL/ Superman versions before this that were frankly better like, the sindicate, red son, the justice lords and many others
Whenever Selena and Bruce are together, it makes me happy. Bruce needs someone to make him better and Selena is the one to do it. I I love their stories together
He also makes her want to be a better person. That She's more than an illegitimate child of a mob boss stuck in a life of poverty and crime. She makes him realize he's more than the tragedy of his parents and responsibilities he was thrust into. Their dynamic is very similar to the relationship Lois Lane and Superman have. Whereas both of them remind each other of one's humanity, and the importance of selflessness.
"Just For Today. Don't be Batman don't be the mask, It's okay let it out. Just for tonight Let yourself fall apart. I promise to hold you together." (I teared up feeling all of this) At a point in a man's life, this kind of feminine energy means a lot. This was beautiful and I almost forgot I had feelings but this reminded me. It hit so hard.
Yeah...this movie had some good moments but overall the movie itself felt rushed...it shouldve been a series or a 3 part trilogy or something that should've expanded for a series of movies considering how long Injustice is and the amount of content and plots and subplots it has...just saying if i did Injustice i would've made a series of movies like 5 or 6 part movies or just a show for fans to see how it would all turn out just like Flashpoint Paradox. This movie felt rushed unfortunately and the small good things about it arent enough to save the movie let alone give it a good review
Well the man just lost his son and the worst part is that he was killed by his other son, wich happened to be his only biological son too That would F up anybody
You can tell just how much nightwing’s death hurt Bruce. Like, think about how strong his gear is physically, how strong he is physically, and then think about the fact that he was punching the makiwara (the wooden post) so hard for so long that not only did he start bleeding, his blood soaked through the gloves and onto the post
I think the tragedy of losing dick Grayson is probably the lowest Bruce could possibly be. Nightwing was without a doubt his son more than any other robin could be biologically or not. They both lost their parents at an early age so they’ve always had a bond that only they could understand but what makes this worse is that it breaks the natural order of things. Bruce may not have been ready for the grief of losing his parents but because of the nature of time he was barring any freak accidents always going to lose them rather than them losing him. For Bruce to lose a son he’s confronted with that same pain but with the added sting of it being against the natural order of things. On some level parents assume they’re going to die before their kids so for him to not be the one dead it must feel like the universe especially hates him.
Selena is the best type of woman not many can prove me wrong on that at all, she really stayed there and held him while he was broken True character right there
Injustice Selena the perfect GF… then we have the other side of the spectrum, Diana for Superman weapon i we the grief instead of comforting supes like Selena did truly shows the best and worst of the two strongest superhero’s and who they surround themselves with
Even in this universe where Clark had fallen, he never stopped loving Bruce. Bruce lost his son. For just a moment, Clark called a truce for his friend to grieve.
it's absolutely heart wrenching to see Bruce repeatedly punching the training figurine over and over making a clump of blood on the plank, from his raw fists till selena approaches him he starts to go slower, breaks into tears then when she hugs he responds hugging and sobbing over Greysons death.
Most men go their entire lives never knowing what it feels like to have this kind of support. Only a woman can weild this kind of gentle, healing strength.
This is what every man wants deep down. When raw shit happens in it'd be great to have someone there for you to help you handle emotions you don't usually allow to effect you (why because we aren't awarded that luxury).
Every time I see this scene, I think of the men in this world who have contended with so much conflict be it war, expectations, overworking of night shifts to provide for family, loss and even grief. I hope in the future I can be a sense of support like Catwoman is to Bruce.
This might be the most real and hard-core Batman related thing ever. He has so much love for his son. And Selina knows it. Proof she always does the right thing when it matters. And this? Nothing could matter more. I can’t think of any onscreen Batman who broke as hard as Bruce did here. He loved his parents, he loves Alfred and Selina, but Dick was HIS son. He feels like he failed and nothing can prepare you for losing your child. People often say Batman is grumpy, mean, and doesn’t really care about his friends and family, but that can’t be further from the truth. He is perhaps the most compassionate person in DC. RIP Richard Grayson, the first Robin and the only son of Bruce Wayne.
I just want to point out how Batman paralleled Superman when they lost someone they cared about: After the Joker tricked him into k!lling Lois, Superman took his anger out on the Joker and, quite literally, had the Joker's blood on his hands. When Damian inadvertently killed Dick, Batman probably wanted to kill Damian but he didn't, he took his anger out on his punching bag and, by extension, on himself, punching so hard that he bled through his suit and had his own blood on his hands. Am I overanalyzing things, probably.
Wasn’t a punching bag, it’s a wooden board typically used to train to increase force from a blow and bone density since by repeatedly striking it your bones slowly get tougher to a certain extent (look at wing Chung for example) which is why it busted Bruce’s knuckles open
Well joker wasn't superman's son while Damian was the son of batman. Damian didn't kill nightwing intentionally it happened by accident. While joker made supermans himself kill his family(luis lain and her unborn son) alongside most of metropolis. Joker was an unhinged maniac unlike Damian. Both superman and batman suffered a lot of grief but one suffered it more then the other and it ended up breaking there moral. In injustice no one is morally good.

Every man dreams of hearing those lines, to let go, to speak out your heart.... As man, so much of yourself is trapped within, from not sharing your emotions and feelings, and it feels real good to have someone listen, just understand for once.
Yeah when the world expects a man to just toughen it or hear "you're a man act like one.", "men don't cry", "suck it up" it's something men don't wanna hear. I think men need more women like catwoman to tell them to let go all those emotions they held for so long.
This is one of the many reasons why I love batman. He's a human and emotions effect him just like they effect us. He lost his son and that is something you can't just get back. It takes a man to kill all criminals after a horrible event. It takes a real man to stick to his values no matter how painful it is in your heart.

This is the One Part of this Adaptation that Works so Well, not just because it shows that Bruce and Selina are both made for each other but because while Batman is the Face and Bruce is the Mask, the Part that makes this so Powerful is that Bruce is hiding his Sadness with Rage and Selina is the Only One that can bring his Vulnerability by letting it out all of that Emotion, he didn’t just lose a Partner, he lost 2 Sons.

It's even worse for Bruce as he never truly got over the deaths of his parents, and now Dick is dead too....and even worse it was Damien of all people who accidentally killed him. A woman like that is a true gift from God.

"Let yourself fall apart, i promise to hold you together " wow. That line is so satisfying to hear from your woman.
Don't also forget when he lost selina
The last time he probably felt like this was when Jason went 💥

Nothing could matter more. I can’t think of any onscreen Batman who broke as hard as Bruce did here. He loved his parents, he loves Alfred and Selina, but Dick was HIS son. What Catwoman says and does here is the one true male fantasy.
Change my mind.
I just want to point out how Batman paralleled Superman when they lost someone they cared about:
After the Joker tricked him into k!lling Lois, Superman took his anger out on the Joker and, quite literally, had the Joker's blood on his hands.
Remember, in superman's case, he was the gun.
