    Another epic overnight adventure👍Nevers fails to impress me how you find these out of the way places and no issues with them being open. I drove to one north of Sg Buloh last week only to find it closed; a previous one required 3 days advance notice ....for a midweek overnighter! So much for spontaneity 😭 Chin up and follow Jun's example⛺👍. Love the channel and your relaxed/chilled style. Thanks for sharing ..and keeping me optimistic🤞

      Thanks once again for your kind words, and support for my channel. Sorry to hear about those spontaneous camping plans that fell through! Guess it's safer to always make a phone call before heading to any place? This particular campsite is a public one that opens 24/7 hence there was no such problem.

      Hello there, thanks for dropping by my channel. This particular spot I camped at is just next to the police station (PGA Bagan Lalang), with a pay-per-use toilet in the same area that belongs to the Orang Asli, just a 2-minute walk from the camp spot. If you are looking to have some quiet picnic time, try to avoid going on weekends :)

    Hello Jun. Your fish looks very appetising, but I need to know two things. Are the leaves from the Banana tree and what is the paste you covered the fish with? And, unfortunately I lied because I have three questions and not two! The green fruit that you squeezed onto the fish looked like Lime, but it had soft seeds which limes do not have. I really enjoy your videos but unfortunately I don’t have them in chronological order, so I must hope that you see my questions. Kind regards Alan from Ireland.

    • @JunOutdoors
      @JunOutdoors  Рік тому +1

      Hi Alan. Yes the leaves are banana leaves - gives a nice fragrance when barbecuing the fish in it!
      The paste I used to cover the fish with, is Sambal, which is a blended chilli paste consisting of chilli, garlic, ginger, shallots, shrimp paste, and all the good stuff! Those small limes are called Calamansi, used in many cuisines in Asia. Its not as sharp or tangy as regular limes, but sweeter and more fragrant!

    I was there last week, but set up picnic under a fly sheet next to the Bagan Lalang’s big Sign. Surprisingly Friday night also very quiet (lack of campers). We have kids with us, so felt a bit insecure due to too quiet, plus invaded by sandflies in the evening. Also, many stray dogs too. I personally prefer PD……anyway, Good video u have there, camp safe……

      Oh yes I was attacked by sandflies in the evening too, but only for a short while at dusk. The smoke from the fire really helped chased them away. Personally I still prefer Bagan Lalang over PD, simply because there's too much road traffic noise in PD!
