      @Tim Cantrell the 30 carbine round had the same muzzle velocity at 100 meters as a .357 magnum does at the muzzle. The rifle and round were just fine for what they were designed for.

    Mr. Rosser, from someone who's never served in the military, thank you for being a great American. Thank you for your service. It means a great deal to me. That said, what kind of chuckle-head, window licking, ANTIFA sympathizing SJW gave this video a "thumbs down"? As of the time of this comment, 23 sacks have done so. What, you don't like it that this Patriot defended himself and his fellow soldiers during war? Or do you not like the realization that this man, and the people of the veterans of the Armed Forces are beyond brave and mentally strong to a point ypu can't comprehend or compete with? Underneath all of your "feelings", does this video make you feel weak at your animalistic core?

    • @mihaeltomasovic
      @mihaeltomasovic 3 роки тому +1

      @@spencer6459 I totally understand your sentiment - truly a hero, sir. As you probably know, though - the AAR of the incident is what the MoH is based on. It is per situation, so even though one soldier/marine/sailor/airman might save, let's just say three of his comrades on that occasion all at once in one location and another saves 30 by having to go to many locations, since it is only a single action, the AAR will reflect that. That's how it works for bronze stars, silver stars, Distinguished Service Cross, etc. as well. When I was in at least, we would receive not only our Combat Infantry badge but my team leader, a Spec-4 at the time, was nominated for a bronze star in the first firefight we were engaged in. The reason I bring that up is not to say soldiers/marines/sailors/airmen are simply given commendations just for nothing, but the engagement lasted a good amount of time in comparison to many and naturally, just because there were multiple lulls in the fighting, it was obviously counted as a single engagement and thus any type of decoration would be for that single extended engagement despite the fact it took place over a relatively long period of time and would kick up at certain times and be completely quiet in some cases for longer than the total amount of fighting (a single lull might be as long as the entire length of the actual shooting engagement).
      Sorry for the long explanation as you probably know all of this anyway - I talk too much sometimes ;)

    • @Matt-416
      @Matt-416 2 роки тому

      I absolutely agree! What a beast of an American!
      Look at Jared Monti. Pinned down by immense enemy fire, taking casualties, with men down out in the open. SFC Monti stopped a fellow soldier from attempting a rescue, and instead tried himself. Upon exposing himself, he was almost instantly cut down. Bled out and died. He saved no one. He didn't even reach the wounded men he intended on assisting. I'm not saying he isn't a hero.... but THAT is worthy of the Medal?.... Seriously? Stepping out of cover and immediately being killed? I'm so confused about that one.
      My uncle was killed in Vietnam (SFC L Beals). He was grievously wounded in the head, causing blindness and paralysis. He still managed to rally his men, direct air support and artillery, until he succumbed to his injuries.
      Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.
      Monti made it a few steps and was shot. No significant orders. No rally. No radio calls. Just, "No, , those are my men. I'll go."
      Zap!!
      Medal of Honor????!!!!
      Meanwhile Mr Rosser is frickin tearing through an unimaginable situation in beast-mode. Saving lives, distributing ammo, becoming a beacon of hope in a completely hopeless situation. He is definitely deserving of the MOH.
      He stands taller than any of us.

      Rocky McAllister Mr. Ronald Rosser, all due respect to you sir. Seemingly a well mannered, salt of the earth and genuine human being. A man that did his duty and far more than was taught, told or even expected from any seasoned soldier; let alone a young drafted teenager. There are families alive today because of your selfless actions on that day! For them, I THANK YOU; FOR ME I THANK YOU! And for being a testament to the truest form of brotherly love, and respect... THE WORLD THANKS YOU. May you live to be a thousand years old. Your place in the heavens, earned as it is ; will be our loss! Much appreciated respect unto you! There's NEVER BEEN ENOUGH RESPECT FOR THE KOREAN WAR VETERANS IN MY OPINION! I WILL NEVER FORGET ANY OF YOU, OR MY FATHER!

    One of my relatives won this medal at the battle of little big horn. My family has been career military men for many years and have fought in every major battle and some not known to most Americans and have came out of the battle with several awards. Hard not to think we were put here to do battle since its all my family knows. Some may call us dumb for fighting so much while others thank us. These are the people that realize if we are doing it they won't have to so to speak. Regardless we continue to choose to fight all battles with bravery and pride. I fear things are about to get very bad now that the American people have put Biden in office. We will be ready regardless. Here's some info about the battle my relative was in when he won his medal.
    AWARDED FOR ACTIONS
    DURING Indian Campaigns
    Service: Army
    Division: 7th U.S. Cavalry
    GENERAL ORDERS:
    Date of Issue: October 5, 1878
    CITATION:
    The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Sergeant Benjamin C. Criswell, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 25 June 1876, while serving with Company B, 7th U.S. Cavalry, in action at Little Big Horn, Montana. Sergeant Criswell rescued the body of Lieutenant Hodgson from within the enemy's lines; brought up ammunition and encouraged the men in the most exposed positions under heavy fire.
    As I said my entire family are career soldiers and all go until retirement from the service. Its all we know. We do it for this great country and its people. Even though our leaders don't have our best interests at heart but instead are in it for their own selfish reasons.

    A poorly trained soldier when screamed at and showed dominance will either obey or run. Nothing shows this better than what this man did.

    This is the type of guy I would want to fight beside, as the younger generation has no understanding of what hardship really means

    My father-in-law, Arthur Young chuckles whenever you hear somebody claimed that they are an atheist, because there is no such thing, trapped and surrounded at the chosin reservoir, finally they broke out and he commented they didn't retreat, they ran for their lives

    my grandfather was one of the frozen chosin, He died in ‘03 when i was 6 and i never got the chance to talk to him about the war. I wish i was older, but i was told he never talked about the war much. I do know he was wounded and received a purple heart but i don’t know much more than that. His name was Harold riedinger from NJ . Does anyone know if there is anyway to track down what his platoon did in the war?

    Okay, I was thinking Nam but this was Korea. I would have been a snot nosed kid when this happened. The war was over by the time I even learned it happened. They didn't call father up but they did ask if they could have his wool uniform back.
