So AWESOME seeing Dr. Lori out in "The Wild" educating us with this video !!! I hope for more like this ! Such a Gift !!! Love the history of it all......and Dr. Lori of Course is THE ABSOLUTE BEST !!!! And LOVE Seeing a fellow women rule such a great genre with antiques, history, art , appraisal and more. She is Incredibly Impressive !!! Love & Respect from Boston :))) xxxxx
I really like this segment. I see a lot of the same pieces at my Goodwill store. I appreciate your assessment of items, particularly for resale value. Thanks Dr Lori ❤
Yeah, you see this era stuff show up in thrifts stores when an elderly family member passes away and the heirs have to clean out the house. Bittersweet seeing someone's treasures they collected in their lifetime. I bet they had stories for them too.
I was skimming through comments to see if anyone else caught that. I have a couple and they make such pretty designs on the wall when the room is dimmed.
I loved seeing the aqua, with white and silver of the Nancy Prentiss dinnerware. I've never heard of her! So TYVM Dr Lori for this informative shopping trip! 🤗✌️❤️🦋🙏
You are the real treasure Dr Lori. Great to see you out in the field. As an Australian, it's fascinating to see you talk about makers and marks that I've never heard of, but the quality is great and evident. I find lots of English crystal here in Australia by such makers as Stuart, Waterford and Webb & Corbett and it's a great time to buy it here, it usually goes very cheaply in most 'op-shops.' Please do more of these videos.
Dr Lori! How can you stand to walk away from those beautiful pieces?! I never see anything of those kinds of beautiful glassware at any of my thrift stores. I live in Colorado Springs and I guess they are just all shopped out. Gorgeous glassware. Thank you so much for everything you teach us, Dr. Lori. I think you're just fabulous, and people who don't think that are just the kind of people who hate everything and everybody. Sad, sad, people.
It is all high, Dr. Lori... Everyone can pick up a piece a month. You spend that on pops. Done on pastel. 10.99 a deal Fostrial cubes, always heavy. Russel Wright teapots, muted colors, Biomorphic. 50's Sterling silver edges of dishes. Nancy Prentiss, much calmer thrifting, Dr. Lori..
Loved all your videos from my home state. I’m far from the Twin Cities, but hope to get their soon. Want to try my hand at the bins. My best find to date was a large shallow spun copper bowl signed by Ronald Hayes Pearson bought for $2.50 and sold for $360.
Thanks for taking us shopping. I always enjoy your videos. You are so generous with us. You always tell us there are treasures out there, and now there is proof. Thank you so much for all the things you do. You are selfless.
I really enjoyed this format. I think it was because I could just listen to you explaining details & sharing your wealth of knowledge! I wish my goodwill looked like that. You would think on Long Island NY we would have great shopping. Instead it's a lot of plastic, resin & even $stor crap marked up to 2 or 3 $$$. I often think the good stuff never makes it to the shelves. I do much better at yard and estate sales or church thrift stores. Thank you for educating us all - well those who want to be educated.
Goodwill has gone a little loony in some states. I've seen prices that were outrageous. Once in a while you make a good find, but it's getting harder. 4:24
You are in my home state! I don't live in MPLS but live on beautiful lake Superior. So fun to watch! Thank you Dr. Lori for teaching and educating all of us.
Hi Dr. Lori. Please don’t stop what you are doing. Many of us appreciate your candor, knowledge and wit. They can choose not to look if they don’t like your demeanor or you advising us on spotting quality. Some people are just chronic complainers.
You crack me up with all the coincidences from our childhoods. I grew up until I was 12, just outside of Hartford too. I'll be 60 this year. Thinking you are close. Lots of family in NE Ct. but now love living in the South. I aspire to do a little flipping and greatly enjoy the education you provide. Thank you.
My favorite video - shop along with Dr Lori. There isn't a bride alive who did not receive a cut crystal bowl with a sterling rim as a wedding gift! My mother had one of those. you put a half orange in the bin, pressed it back down and squeezed like heck, then poured the juice out the side. I always managed to put the fruit in the wrong way. MORE WE WANT MORE!
The pricier pieces I wait til they’re on sale, I use some pieces for display until I sell…Russel Wright…love 💕❤️💕❤️,loveeee the NP ITEMS, WOW. NICE JOB. I USUALLY buy the teacups/saucers, s&p, serving pieces, SHOULD I LEAVE THESE ITEMS FOR SOMEONE WHO MAY WANT TO SELL THE set together? I even buy like the one mcm dish, fairy lamps parts to sell, crock pot lids --I have proly 200 of the cp lids --I can’t remember the brand, Red something, it’ll come to me…. A friend of mine moved into a house. It was owned by a former antique dealer and found ologies crockpot lids in his house. He gets pissed them to me. I was so grateful. So interesting because I was a couple years ago I was working on developing the side business to my other business and people were like throwing things at me and I said this must be where I’m supposed to be. Lol…. I typically sell on Facebook, but i’ve also sold to clients of my other business. If they see some stuff hanging around, still ask about it they’re interested in what I’m doing. This is kind of a semi retirement new business to help support myself in retirement. 💕❤️❤️💕❤️Love seeing you out in the wild. Thank you as usual for all your KNOWLEDGE,EXPERTISE, willingness to guide and support us who do this work. YOU ARE AN ANGEL FROM ABOVE….THANK YOU 💕🦋💕🦋💕🦋💕🦋💕🦋💕🦋
Thanks for another helpful video Dr Lori I wish I lived in that area and was able to buy that beautiful Nancy set dinnerwear. What a beautiful colour ! Just beautiful someones defiantly going home with a bargain !
You are the best thing about this vlog. Like seeing you shopping. I’ve picked up several gorgeous vases, obviously expensive and crystal. I was in Macys and they had some behind glass several years ago and I was just staring at them but they were too expensive, not in Goodwill. I hope you’ll do more shopping vlogs in the future.
I feel more confident watching your thrifting videos.. they have meaning in the way you share real knowledge about items no need to go anywhere else if you want to be in the know 👍
I love and watch some of these again...my grandmother had that metal reamer juicer and bet maybe, your mom got that from her elders or a special sale...not sure and maybe they was here in early 50's too, but anyway always seemed older than my mom's stuff and I am In smack mid 60's now..sigh...anyway that I think possibly..... worked the absolute best for juice...just unreal it was to have fresh squeezed at grandmothers...lol...love to all and Dr. Lori...yes it was a slot machine and more juice than anything else..a bingo!!
What an absolutely enjoyable & informative video. As a visual learner, it's exactly what I want and need. However, so are your live shows with guest. 🎉

I work in St Louis Park at a hospital. I'm gonna have to stop at the Goodwill after work!
I love that you're sharing how to thrift shop! Thank you, Dr. Lori!
This would be a dream day to go thrifting with Dr Lori. That china set would be in my cart. Love finding glorious china sets like that
No doubt. Anything unusual/beautiful always stops me in my tracks and that would be no exception.
I really like this idea of you hitting the Goodwill! We learn a lot.
I got a cake stand like that as a wedding gift 40 years ago.
Yeah, you see this era stuff show up in thrifts stores when an elderly family member passes away and the heirs have to clean out the house. Bittersweet seeing someone's treasures they collected in their lifetime. I bet they had stories for them too.
I have the Fostoria two piece...the piece with the hole fits on top of the other and you burn a candle in it. Beautiful lit up.
I was skimming through comments to see if anyone else caught that. I have a couple and they make such pretty designs on the wall when the room is dimmed.
Oh my gosh Dr. Lori! I love this type of video 🧡🧡🧡 and even learn the difference between a gravy boat and a sauce boat which I never knew before.
I loved seeing the aqua, with white and silver of the Nancy Prentiss dinnerware. I've never heard of her! So TYVM Dr Lori for this informative shopping trip! 🤗✌️❤️🦋🙏

I am so excited!!! I just figured out how to get you on my big screen TV!!!!!!! Thank you for all you do in teaching and entertaining an old lady who is unable to go to thrift stores anymore.
I'm very blessed in my area - my Good Wills use shrink wrap - like saran wrap - works as good as tape without the destruction tape leaves behind!
I have a basement full of old china from my grandmother. She would be about 130 or more years old
