Agreed! Before CGI and digital editing took over. Now movies keep being edited over and over until the last hour and one of the main victms is the music - that can not be properly worked out to a "locked" movie.
The first one was obviously the greatest shark film ever. The second one was one of the best sequels ever made. While Jaws 3 was done poorly, it had so much potential, a great animatronic shark, a creative plot and kickass soundtrack. I feel terrible for Jaws the revenge :( It sent this franchise down the drain
@@Joey7Z7Horror yes i think that mr spielberg made such an amazing movie and lets face it, there was so much more to jaws than just the shark, and in fact it is quite different to the book, from a fans point of view to see how brody was coping and how amity was after so yes i think the fans needed to know , but from the studios view it is always about money.

As much as I agree that the characters are what make Jaws so special, I don’t like people implying that the shark isn’t apart of the actual meat of the movie as it is considered the best shark movie ever. It feels kinda insulting to me for some reason. I think jaws should still get a cool reputation as a killer shark movie but still recognized for its remarkable character and backstory.
I watched this in the cinema in Norwich England 1978 as a young teen , absolutely loved the film, I remember the opening scene and the harp music 🎶....just brilliant from john Williams, I have grown up as a jaws fanatic having watched them all in the cinema.........jaws 4 was dire tbh and I was disappointed with 3 ,
Like most artists John Williams has his own style. I've watched Jurassic Park and The Lost World so many times I immediately recognized moments that sounded almost identical to those scores.

well people often claim Aliens and Terminator 2 are better than their predecessors. I personally disagree but if you like them more then you could add those to your list.
@@bryceandrew13 Yeah, no way Terminator 2 beats the original. It was basically a repeat of the original, except instead of a human being sent to protect, they sent a terminator. It was a good flick, but the original beats it. Gotta watch Alien(s) again, haven't seen it in decades.
@@bobbyheenan4061 love jaws 2 but if you compare terminator 2 , aliens , Spider-Man 2 , The Dark knight , empire strikes back , LOTR twin towers all of these movies to jaws 2 it’s not in the same league terminator 2 Aliens and many more are for lot of people better then the original witch are masterpieces. Jaws 2 is a very strong sequel but it doesn’t come close to touching jaws a great sequel is for a lot of people at the same level or better then the first film jaws 2 isn’t but it’s a very good film that I really enjoy and is criminally underrated people focus too much that isn’t jaws but that is to harsh and it could’ve been even better I love what Jeannot did in the film but if we would have got John Hancocks version pppfffffff I think that would have come close to jaws just reading the book and the script and those two scenes that were kept when you see the shark fin at night when it arrives in amity andthe parasailing sequence a full film of that it would have been a masterpiece.
