My bad it wasn’t the easiest thing to get to and I couldn’t really film it but there’s a grounding block underneath the carpet on the passenger side floorboard and I ended up putting it under the factory grounding block. I thought maybe this would help with summertime heat, but the steering wheel will still overheat when it’s in direct sunlight, until you turn the AC on as a protection. So you could probably just install that ground wherever works and it would be much easier.
@@BlakesGarage more less just getting it for the smaller diameter & thickness of the wheel, the thickness of the stock wheel does not give me confidence in corners at all. I have small hands so i feel it wanting to leave my hands sometimes. It makes me feel like i don’t have total control over the car. Plan on getting a cage and sparco soon tho
Hey Blake, what happens if you spin the combination switch? I'm not sure if mine's spun a little when reinstalling. Kind if freaking out bc my wipers are going off, but might be the FEM.
Is this Wheel OEM, did you buy it from the BMW dealership? I want to know because I would like to know if the M performance parts for the F8X are still avalible from BMW?
Have someone who knows what they are doing align it. They need to drive it the. Align it. Had this issue with all my M3’s. Their alignment is super touchy. Doesn’t take much to make it off.
I think maybe we are too much of perfectionists man. No when I drive any car I always see if the cars wheel is perfect. I purposely went and test drove 5 different m4s to see and they where all like mine. I think Blake just doesnt give a shit or he cant see it. Most people are not weird like us man!

Yeah I thought about doing that just wasn’t sure if I wanted to delete my airbag. For daily driving.

@@stoss-11 just make sure you have a seat cage and harnesses if you delete the airbag. Otherwise not worth it.

Blake man everytime I try to take my wheel of and I put the screw driver in it make the horn go off I cant take the cap off and I have a m4
Unplug the battery. That’s something you should do whenever you mess with a battery

Your wheel looks off center. My m4 has the same issue after like 3 alignments. I hate it not centered.
