this was the way it was ment to be done great job boys and girls have you seen the mess the open net industry has made all becomes of open net systems and not sealed bag sets o my
So how is this "closed" if viruses are allowed to flow in and out along with lice eggs? I'm lost as to what this video shows other than a lot of cash being spent.
The larvae lives mainly in the upper parts of the water. The water intake is in the deep, and there has been no need to treat for lice so far this year. Also, this tank collects the sewage, which is a major pollutant. As to viruses... I suppose they are still a risk. Are you suggesting closed tanks should somehow sterilize the water both in an out? This is a major improvement to open tanks, and hopefully it will prove to be both an ecological and economic improvement.
silverleapers By vaccines and not getting them in the first place and if necessary butchering the salmon. This cage is made to keep lice out as they are one of the largest if not the largest problems in (Norwegian) aquaculture
solution is butcher (failure is a solution?, and yet to be made vaccines for ever mutating viruses?)? Are you joking? This design was NOT made with a biologist or ecologist or pathologist on staff obviously...lol
Couldn't ultraviolet light be used on intake and exhaust pipes to kill viruses and bacteria?
Good technology for aquaculture.
How big is that thing?? How much does that thing cost??

Should add filter system to control the pollution before bring waters out to open sea so there wont be any virus or etc.
Reminds me of Deep Blue Sea
dig hole pump water
we are preparing to build the feeding barge now
Great system
