- DES Stereo Mix
Mixed with more punch to match the mono. Piano given more prominence - panned slightly right. A major worldwide hit for Stones. No. 1 in Australia, Austria, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, UK, US. All credit goes to The Rolling Stones.
Stones were the most versatile with Brian, He was a true artist, to hell with commercial success, play what you feel.
PS...nice to hear a slight extension on Mick's vocal on the fade out. First time I've ever heard that, thank you!
Thank You!! Tiger.
Brilliant work! You’ve opened up the mix for all to hear.
Thank you!! Cheers Tiger.
Excellent song all time ❤.
Excellent mix, especially with regard to Jack Nitzsche's piano.
Thank you!! Cheers Tiger.
Oh- I thought Ian Stewart was on the keyboard!
Proof that Rock Music doesn't have to be complicated. Just physical.
The Rolling Stones without Brian Jones = ZERO

The best stereo mix I've heard of this track.

Thanks Jim!! Cheers Tiger.
One of best conversions Tiger well done .
Thank You!! Cheers Tiger.
A marketable improvement over the original bi-polar stereo mix which always left me flat. Great job, Tiger! You kept the “punch” and gave it a great stereo image! Bravo!
Thanks Bob!! That was the aim - to keep the punch of the mono single. Also to give the piano just enough prominence so it didn't get in the way. Cheers Tiger.
👍Excellent!
Thanks TotalStranger!! Cheers Tiger.
Good job
Thank You!! Tiger.
No regard for cultural cool or religion... conquered the world
18 likes now Tiger, rock on!!

Would love to hear this treatment on the studio version of midnight rambler!
Thanks!! I'll look at that one, Tiger.
@@TigerRogers0660 Thanks! And make it very loud as I always thought that mix was very low in volume.
@@TigerRogers0660 Looking forward to hearing it!
A stone cold revelation…and then there’s the fab pics.
Thanks!! Tiger.
This stereo makes Devo sound like Frank Sinatra.
Thank you!! Cheers Tiger.

この当時のストーンズは、パッ見ビートルズと、見分けが付かない位、雰囲気がよく似てますね。(^_^;)
You're so close. This is the most correct one I've heard thus far. Do you have a high quality download for this?
I can send that no problem. Can you give me an email address & i'll send it via WeTransfer. Tiger.
Excellent...!!!
Great great job!!!
OMG... where did that piano come from?
PS: please, try it with "Wanna Be Your Man" and "I Just Want To Make Love To You"... very punk hard rockers. Maybe you can create a stereo version retaining that seminal power of the mono mixes...
Thank You!! I have already done "I Wanna Be Your Man", but i think i can improve that now. Tiger.
Tiger: I'm asking this on behalf of a University-level music instructor I met today (who I hope is reading this): What software do you use, and how did you learn your craft?
Christopher, i started learning about 10 years ago with a program called ADX Trax Pro - which is no longer available. It is a Spectral Editor that had a function of doing an auto separation of the vocals from a song. It only got about 60 - 70% of the vocal. The steps from there included a pencil tool to "draw in" the missing vocals. Then onto the Spectral Editing part of the program to manually extract all the missing bits. This is where i learnt my craft - identifying the various shapes for the different instruments/vocals. I used this program to manually extract other instruments too.
Now i use firstly: AudioSourceRE DeMix Pro. This program is the best out there for doing auto separations of vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano. These separate files still need manual editing to make them near perfect. Secondly: i load these into Steinberg Spectralayers 7 for (sometimes very tedious & time consuming) manual editing. Once the parts are as clean as i can get, then mix all the parts into a newly created stereo mix. I basically taught myself. Hope this helps. Tiger.
@@TigerRogers0660 Thank you!
I'm having a long break from mixing at the moment. I have many other music projects on the go.
Released in 1965.
At 0:39 is that click an edit? I heard it as a teen and thought there was a scratch on my new LP! I'm not hearing a piano
I believe that what you are hearing is Keith engaging his fuzz box at the change from his (relatively) clean guitar during the verses and the fuzz guitar during the refrains. The early stomp boxes had noisy on-off switches.
Just wondering why you went DES when there is a wide true stereo mix from the German and Japanese Hot Rocks
The german Hot Rock version is so open that lacks that strong punch the original mono version has. Sure you can hear all the instruments, but it made the final mix sound weak. This mix maintain that strong punch as the mono version.
that's much better Tiger. all the stereo mixes lack the power of the mono, this doesn't. big like. j/b.
Thanks Jane & Brian!! Cheers Tiger.
Can't hear the tambourine! Major oversight.
Great mix but the only downside to my ears is that crummy piano line. It sucks all of the energy out of it. I think it was wisely buried. Be great to hear this without it.
Thanks for the comments. The reason i did this is i had requests to make the piano heard. Of course i can do a mix with the piano at the level of the original mix. Tiger.
