Demonhunter's class identity is essentially miracle Rogue, but with lifesteal.

I mean, it basically is the modern miracle rogue. Actual miracle rogue had bad early hands and made pretty weak plays, trying to survive until things popped off. It wasn't too different from other combos in that regard. Now, all combo decks have a couple of key cards, and the rest of the deck can play a totally normal tempo game plan. Ergo, you get DH being a version of Miracle Rogue that doesn't suck to play along the way to its combo.
Demon Hunter is what happens when the design team wanted to make a class really good (cause they want people playing the new class) AND they have years of knowledge and experience on what makes a card good in Hearthstone. They just took the best card traits in all of Hearthstone history up to that point and give DH all of them.
1-mana aggro atk-gain minion? Check
0-mana spells? Check
Mana Cheats? Check
Card draw that can mana cheat? Check
Charge minions with high ATK? Check
Dealing AOE damage via attack value ala blade Flurry? Check
Cheating big minions out of hand/deck in early turns? Def Check
... and many, many more.
I didn't play during the beginning of DH but this is how i mainly feel about DK currently. While with the recent mini set DK is less prevalent I just cannot stand the discover mechanic with DK. It makes it FEEL impossible to play around. I can't tell u how many times I've lost to the class from discovering the perfect card OUTSIDE OF THEIR RUNE TYPE out of nowhere. Tilts me beyond belief.
I really think they should've changed the discover to be able to discover tri-runes but nothing outside of your decks runes.

Just make Discover more consistent by making it so you can only discover cards you could have put in your deck, rather than adding additional rules to account for some other cards being broken. Would it REALLY be so bad if Rainbow DK could discover more copies of Necrotic Explosion?

Demon hunter set a precedent if powercreep the game still has and will probably never recover from. Its release was probably the beginning of the end for HS.
Historically, Rogue and Druid have pissed me off the most. There are multiple unfun Demon Hunter decks to face now though.

I came back to hearthstone after taking a short break, got steamrolled for 10 games by Demon Hunter while it was new, then stopped playing until Death Knight came out
Druid is absolutely a class with no weaknesses, at least in wild. Only class with ramp. broken combo enablers like Guff, Alignment, Floop's Gloop, Aviana, Ysiel, and Lady Anacondra. all the card draw and armor you want with cards like Aquatic form, Ferocious howl, Branching paths, Dew Process, Moonlit Guindance and more. Against aggro? no problem: Swipe, Oaken Summons , Rake, Flipper Friends, and Scale of Onixia. Need to clear big minions? Naturalize and Poison Seeds has you covered. Want to go forever, run Jade Idol. Want to become aggro? A whole host of cards from Clawfury adept, Composting, Living Roots and more will fill out your list.
I am aware that druid is not always the best, but it has such a wealth of powerhouse cards and effects unique to it that no class can compare.
Im usually high legend (1k and above), but i dont pay any money for the game so my options are very limited. That makes me stick to 3 or 4 classes at most. I hate demon hunters in wow so i never played it in hs. Besides not having played the class, the problem (i think) is that it is impossible to predict when they're gonna pop off, if you do something that prevents their insane turn, they can just wait and do it the next one withouth any consequence, just out of nowhere. So beyond turn 5 or 6, you need to play perfectly and have a clear answer for everything they can do (wich is a lot) and you may still not be able to prevent an otk from hand. Plus, having a 1 mana hero power is just absurd

I enjoy every class in hearthstone. But DH is the one class I’ve always tried SO HARD to enjoy, but I just can never enjoy it. Whether it’s meta decks, off meta decks, homebrew, etc. I just never had fun with it. That’s why I also hate it when DH is at the top of the meta, because that means I have to play the class if I want to get to legend easily that month.
I usually don’t mind facing off against DH(except combo DH), but I just hate playing it.
It’s the only class I don’t bother getting at least 500 wins with.
Demon hunter was overturned for like a month, and I feel like some people haven’t let that go. I think the secret is that people don’t like agro decks and demon hunter is by and large an agro class, maybe a bit of midrange on the side.
Lots of attack buffs from hand is something Druids are doing a lot in wild and standard and also they are gaining a whole bunch of armor at the same time.
ok... my take: dh's biggest problem is that every single time its relevant it tilts as hard as possible. I rarely lose to DH and end up not tilted causing no fun. DK also does everything well, but DK cant do it all at once, if ur aggro you arnt hyper controll, if ur combo ur not aggro. Discover breaks this and should probably be changed but otherwise its fine.
The worst part is that card generation was supposed to be one of the classes weaknesses. Sure it had the best card draw in the game but you had none of the discover or random generation that other classes had meaning you had to be very aware of how you built your deck and it’s matchups. Now demon hunter can find the perfect out for anything with illidari studies and felerin
I hate the sheer card quality Dh and Dk get off of discover and other generation. It never feels good because so many of the options they get handed feel better than the other 9 classes

Demon hunter in wild is great because no one under top 200 can play the only good dh deck (questline outcast ft. tony) correctly

I think the issue with Demon Hunter is that it does not present a deckbuilding challenge in any way, in a game that is arguably about deckbuilding at its core. As you reiterated in this video, every other class identity is at least partially defined by a weakness, something it either can't do well or not at all. (Not sure about DK on this, since I haven't played HS in a while). The challenge (and arguably the fun) of building and playing a deck then comes from either overcoming that weakness, compensating for it with some sort of workaround or just straight up ignoring it, focusing on your classes strengths, accepting your unfavourable matchups and preying on other prevalent decks to increase your overall winrate.
However, with Demon Hunter it seems to me like you always just want to netdeck. Pick the flavour-of-the-month demon hunter synergy and just run the most optimal deck list for it. Sure, you can try to play off-meta or maybe try last months flavour, but in all likelihood you will end up just playing a self-imposed worse version of the decklist you could be playing.

Demon hunter is okay as long as you just focus on surviving, to me mage is way more unfair because of the ridiculous damage they can do in one turn, also they can get as much armor as needed with a small minion, so you can't play too aggressive or play too slow and even then you got bad luck if they had a good starting hand.

Thanks for the vid, the way you describe DH matches perfectly the way on how i feel about Druid, usually there are some ok losses and some bad losses, but Druid makes me feel the worst, not even to mention they are the most annoying class in WoW lore, dumb mechanics (bigger & bigger man or brain-dead armor combos), also the ones that most BM
I think in the end the class you hate the most might be all about personallity and specific situations along your play history

But the most annoying classes are always Priest, Mage, Roge, and Warlock.
I'm also at Diamond 5 right now and did not face any DH or DK at all since days. Only Mage and sometimes Hunter or Paladin. Also zero Rogues and Shamans on my ladder the last 3 days.
demonhunter is just ultra aggro that plays their entire deck in 2 turns.

I mean i just dropped the game on DH release and came back at sunken city. So i don't even know what're you talking about. For me DH style-wise feels weird, but things like relic DH were kinda fun. Warrior identity nowadays is a lot more concerning than DH.
So it just has to be trauma. Like shudderwock shaman for me.

i think discover as a keyword needs to be reworked to just search your own deck. The amount of times opponents find the PERFECT card that didnt even start in thier deck makes it feel like, im playing a casino game where nothing but who high rolls harder wins.

Bro I was sooo hyped about Demon Hunter, when it was about to come out (of the closet). I knew it was going to be crazy aggressive and totally broken, but still, it was a new class, first in SIX YEARS!!! I felt like "Hearthstone isn't dead yet!". Was this a piece of shit? Yeah! Even me, who enjoyed Kael'Thas OTK deck was like "what is this pile of crap? It's broken". But I don't feel like DH should be the most anticipated one. This game still has Druids, Paladins and Priests. Druids are ridiculous. My relationships with this class is absolutely hilarious. I can play them and enjoy the experience only when the druid is like bottom tier. When class is SLIGHTLY better than bottom it already feels like I'm committing war crimes. Paladins are different. Most of the time this class is incredibly boring and not really good at anything. But when it gets just a few good cards it becomes a freaking nightmare. It's always something absolutely aggressive and has no potential brain power behind it's gameplay. Like I have a legitimate meme "smartest paladin player" which means "playing against incredibly stupid player, that makes a tonne of unbelievably bad mistakes, but still wins the game, cause his deck value is ridiculous". Nearly there stands a kid named Priest. Back in the day this class was my personal nightmare. The idea of that class is so stupid, that it actually freaked me out. It's originally a fully control class, that is good ONLY versus control archetype. Control is my favourite game archetype, and I like the idea, that it's strictly following the pattern of beating aggro, sucking to midrange and winning mirror matches by getting better value. Priest, historically, was trash against both aggro and midrange, but was destroying any control deck. Nowadays, priest still has one of the nastiest control archetypes in the game, but it also has it's own mid and even aggro archetypes. Priest become normal, more or less (still is a nightmare of wild). Overall, I think present day meta is mostly fine. I wanna trim paladins a bit, cause the amount of their yellow bubbles is ridiculous. Wouldn't mind to cut some of the druid cards even more. Priest is fine, let him be. And finally, speaking of demon hunter, I think we lack some kind of control archetype for this class, that is going to make dh sit on his ass a bit, instead of charging into battle on first five turns

Death Knight is my Demon Hunter
I dont like demon hunter because I feel like its more rng dependent than other classes. They either dont do anything at all until you kill them or do the most broken shit and you cant do anything against it, whether youre playing aggro or control.
I actually mained DH when it first came out and I still love it to this day. That being said, yeah, the class was freaking *broken* and even now has a lot of downright cheap strategies
I don't mind DH. I honestly just hate whatever class has the annoying flavor of the week at any given time.

I've disenchanted all of my cards except Warlock and Rogue, only played with these 2 classes because the others are super corrupt in some ways which makes me really unhappy with any support I've given to the Blizzard.
