We go through all of the Front Wings and rear wings in combination to give you our take on the "feel" for each combination for the foil. This included the 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 Surf V2 wings as well as the 90, 120, 170, and 200 High Aspect wings. We coupled these front wings with the 25 glide, 32 glide, 38 surf, 48 surf, 26 carve, 33 carve rear wings. This is 54 wing combinations in total. If you have specific questions about our thoughts on any wings or need some please reach via phone/text: 281-508-6485 or get Phil directly on the Pacific North Sports line: 360-794-1688.
We stock all Lift gear including parts, pieces, accessories, efoils, batteries, classic foils and masts, wings, and anything else you need for fun on the water. Please give us a chance to earn your business. Thanks for watching!

Wish you had added the three prop combinations with this review. The carve 33 seems to be the sweet spot

I'll make a prop video next with the new LCS options against the older props. Thanks for the comment!

Just adding personal experience: Just got the 32" mast with 170 HA and 38 Surf v2. Great initial combo for me coming from an Axis 860 HA setup (occasional foiler previously, nothing like Phil here). 15 yr old daughter had no trouble getting on foil within her first 3 min and her only experience was a 12" cabrinha mast and low aspect combo. Fun carving and will likely get the 33 carve next to play with once I dial it in more with the 38. (me=170lbs btw)

    Nice video. For me personally I love the 32 mast + 150 V2 surf + 33 carve but I’m a little wacky!

    Thanks for doing this!
I’m still curious to hear more details on difference between the 200 v2 surf and the HA 200? You say more “glide”. What do you mean by that in terms of actual ride experience?
    Thanks!

Excellent question, when Phil Refers to "more glide" he is talking about the gained time spent going in a straight line before the board descends back into the water, from the initial input on the throttle the peiod of time he lets off and the reengagement of the throttle. In an example: going through a turn, with a more efficient wing you can let off the throttle earlier and move further across the water before the need to reengage the throttle. This is the gained "glide". I hope this helps answer your question. - Bobby

Do you really notice that much of a performance difference between a 33 carve and a 32 glide? They seem so similar. My goal is always harder carves but these wings aren’t cheap. If the 33 carve is really that much better for tight turns I’ll get it but I would want to know it’s really worth it. My front wing would be the 100 surf V2

Yes, The major difference is the fuselage length between those two wings. The 32 glide is also completely flat with zero curve so it has less drive forward when turning. The 31 flow would be closer to the 32 glide than the 33 carve

@@midlerp thanks. I’ll probably order the 33 carve. I don’t really enjoy the 32 glide that much. It doesn’t feel like it adds anything noteworthy. I actually like the 36 glide more.

What size board were you on?

I did the entire reveiw on the 4'9" Lift3 and 32" propulsion. Great question...never thought of adding that.

@@midlerp Hi Phil, my name is Pete Fagan and I'm the Lift affiliate in New Hampshire. This video is AWESOME and I will be sharing it with my clients. This is something I get a lot of questions and on and it is very timely right now. Thanks! Much appreciated!. I ride the 4'9" and 5'4" with all my customers.

You didn't add the Lift Surf 60 to the review. That's the only wing that would be "arguably too small for the efoil", lol. I've been riding every wing reviewed (except the Surf 100 and Surf 300) for the last year and for flat water the HA90/Carve 33 has been the one I always go back to as my favorite for how fast and responsive it is. There are a lot of people who have the HA90 as their favorite for how responsive it is. You just need a few rides to get the muscle memory dialed in and it becomes an easier ride. My first rides I said it would never be my "go to" wing, but after a week it did become my go to wing. Now all the others feel sluggish in comparison, don't write that one off as arguably too small if you want fast and responsive.

Thanks for the advice! You are right about some of the smaller wings for sure. Since this was released I've gotten more time on the 90 HA and really like it. Thank you.

Which of the Lift eFoil Wings does also work fine for kitefoiling (e.g. 200 Surf V2)?

    • @midlerp
      @midlerp  Рік тому +1

200 works ok, but is still a little big so I'd go with the 150 surf V2 unless you're 200lbs +

@@midlerp 200 Surf V2 is too large for kitefoiling even when 200lbs+, I found. 100 Surf V2 with 26 Carve Stabilizer is probably the to go for kiting (still have to try that combination though).
