Firefighter Simon Kaye Remembrance Service

Firefighters across the country held a minutes silence in honour of fellow Firefighter Simon Kaye. The service was lead by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service Chief Fire Officer, Ben Ansell at Westbourne Fire Station on Monday 20th April 2020.

It's very sad to lose one of your own but no matter what happens, he will always be with you in your minds as well in your hearts. And it's really good to see not just other FRS in the same region as you to show their respects, but also from other parts of England. Like Telford, Shrewsbury and Market Drayton of Shropshire, and Rugby and Bedworth from Warwickshire of the West Midlands Region, Buxton from Derbyshire and those from Avon, West Yorkshire, Humberside, Gloucestershire, Tyne and Wear, even in Wales. and i'm sure every single FRS in the UK would do the same and maybe even the world, because looking out for each other not just as friends but also as a family. And that is one part of what being part of FRS is all about. You have my deepest sympathy Kaye family and friends, R.I.P. Firefighter Simon Kaye, rest easy mate and you'll never be forgotten.❤🙏🏻🚒
