A 16-year-old from Blackburn made a jaw-dropping entrance to her end of year celebration in a Rolls Royce Phantom covered in millions of crystals which costs a whopping £500 to hire for 15 minutes. Dressed to impress, donning a gown worth over £250, it’s no surprise that the UK prom business is booming - estimated to be worth a whopping £90 million a year. So let’s be honest, is it all too much? Clare Page who saved £1,200 for her daughter Rosie’s prom night, insisting she wanted her to feel like a ‘princess’. But comedian Jenny Eclair says splashing a load of money on a prom is ridiculous, it should go on something like a family holiday instead!

I do think that proms have gone to far a friend of mine hired an elephant for her daughter to arrive at the prom and at the end od the day if thats going to be the best day of her life god help the kid she has the rest of her life to lead
