Teaching Oral Language

Expanding spoken words for better vocabulary. Discussion builders clarify new vocabulary for young children and help them listen, respond and communicate. The teacher monitors, assess, and coaches students to use correct language and deepen student thinking while expanding on their world view. The oral language lesson has helped students describe a setting and similar language and vocabulary will be familiar when reading Engage Literacy Leveled books.
