I didn't discover Christina until about a week before she passed away but I was and still am completely heartbroken that she's not here anymore. Even though I never got to meet her in person, I can just tell that she was and still is such an incredible young talent!!!! Even in spirit!!!!! And now I'm a HUGE fan and I genuinely love her so much!!!!

@christophertolmie6572 -- Feel that. :' ( I also didn't discover her -- well, rediscover, but really spend time going through her music -- until not terribly long before we lost her. It's awful, what happened to her. But it felt extra shocking because through her channel you could see her beginnings, and her collaborating with fellow youtubers, and just being a normal, relatable girl. She seemed very genuine and approachable.

I've mourned artists and actors whose work has touched my life or made up part of my childhood before, but I always knew I didn't really *know* them beyond very superficially. Not even on an everyday shallow level, like how you get familiar with your local coffee shop's regular barista; you don't know their hopes and fears, but you learn what music they like and have running jokes between you as you pick up your usual order, you know? It brightens your day a bit to have a bit of a laugh with them, and you expect to see them there each morning.

Christina felt kinda like that, to me. I never met her, but I was familiar with her face and voice, and got to know a bit about her by catching up on and following her musical journey. She was a real person, not so impossibly far removed from our level of life like the already-Big Name celebs, and it was great to see her succeeding. I was happy for her.

And then she was taken from the world so cruelly, way too soon, and it just felt so much closer to home. I couldn't listen to her music for a long time afterwards, because it hurt too much. I'm just finally being able to listen to it more regularly again, but it's still hard. I can't even begin to imagine how much harder it was for her family and irl-friends, on whom she undoubtedly made an even bigger impact on than she did on all of us fans, who still miss her. RIP, Christina.
@@iprobablyforgotsomethingI'm glad you view it that way because I feel the same way. It's weird to me how I didn't know her until half a year after she passed, but I listened to some of her songs years before that. And for years and years I didn't know how to deal with it. Sometimes I still don't know. And people don't get it that's why I don't talk about it because they think I'm sick or something. I mean kinda I'm in therapy but I didn't choose how my Brain copes with this. So it's kind of a relief I'm not alone with this feeling of familiarity

I don't know if you read the comments on the videos you post of your daughter but I just want to let you know that this song and in Christ alone both helped me in times when I didn't feel strong enough to continue. I'd play them and it helped greatly. Not kidding. They literally got me through and her angelic voice singing about God's love gave me strength. Just thought you should know. Her voice was strongly heard her and it meant a lot to me. Thank you for raising such a beautiful person!!!!!
