- Here's a recap of all the songs that competed for Serbia in Eurovision Song Contest from 2007 to 2023. Please, enjoy!
Serbia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 15 times since making its debut in 2007. Serbia previously participated as part of Yugoslavia (both the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1961 to 1991 and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1992) and as Serbia and Montenegro (2004-2006). Serbia won the contest on its debut as an independent country in 2007, with "Molitva" by Marija Šerifović. The country's other top five results are third place in 2012 with "Nije ljubav stvar" by Željko Joksimović, and fifth place in 2022 with "In corpore sano" by Konstrakta. Serbia's other top ten results are sixth place (2008) and tenth place (2015).

What I love about Serbia in the eurovision, no matter if they quelify, NQ, singing in English or sending this one specific song that I hate, they are always, but always, being authentic. and this is why Serbia is one of my favorite eurovision countries.

My favorite country in Eurovision by a long mile. Serbia is one of the very countries in ESC that consistently send quality entries no matter the genre. Say ballads, or dance hits, or Konstrakta, they are all so good!
As a Serbian im so proud of my country's songs we send every year, i just hope we're gonna get our second win!
Brate koliko je to realno pitanje, jer nemamo koga da šaljemo. Evrovizija nije ozbiljno takmičenje i naši dobri pevači na to nikad neće ići, jer je to daleko ispod njihovih mogućnosti i nemaju razlog da se nadmeću na takmičenju u rangu školskog takmičenja u pevanju, ESC je nekad bila veliko takmičenje, ali sad je postala običan casting za playboy. I ovo za dobre pevače ne važi samo za nas, za sve države.

Разлог зашто наше велике звезде не желе да иду (што је лаж, већина њих попут рецимо Јелене Карлеуше, која је покушала да се договори чак и са Словеначким емитером како би наступала на Евровизији, али на крају није ништа изашло ни из тога, се већ изјаснила да би ишла када би били интерно изабрани уместо да се надмећу на (раније) Беовизији и (сада) ПЗЕ-у како им то не би оштетило каријеру (добити мање место од неког по популарности мањег извођача), но чак ни то не представља толики проблем за њихове покушаје да нас представљају, јелте имаш примере великих лица наше музичке сцене која су покушала да се такмиче на нашим предизборима и представе нас али нису успели, попут Емине Јаховић, Аце Лукаса, Саре Јо(која нас је представљала 2013. али је покушала поново 2022.), Ангелине, Тијане Дапчевић, итд. колико им представља проблем могућност неуспеха на самој Евровизији, јер тамо не представљаш себе као извођача већ своју земљу и нацију, већина извођача се боји одзива народа на лош пласман, не би био први пут да извођач употпуности изгуби праћеност због лошег пласмана на Евровизији, са друге стране добар пласман те тек може дићи у небеса популарности. Не заборави да Евровозија није такмичење у певању већ такмичење композиција тако да се гледају не само вокали већ и значење песме и наступ преко ког се песма преноси публици и жирију, анажалост не поседују све звесте сва три зато се и одржавају предизбори за нашег представника да би се пронашао неко ко може да обухвати сва три.

@@ore5144 baš suprotno, Evrovizija raste iz godine u godinu u sve veće, popularnije i profesionalnije muzičko takmičenje. Postalo je OZBILJNA odskočna daska za mnoge umetnike u njihovim karijerama. Maneskin su bili poznati samo nekolicini u Italiji a sada su već previše velike zvezde da bi se ponovo pojavili na ESC. No, to više nije takmičenje SAMO u pesmi, za dobar plasman ti treba dobra scenografija, moraš biti inovativan ali dopadljiv. To je balans koji je jako teško uspostaviti. Jedini razlog zašto je Konstrakta dobro prošla je taj zarazan refren i prejednostavna koreografija rukama koju može da 'otpleše' bilo ko. Moderna Evrovizija traži konceptualni audio vizuelni komad, nije više dovoljno da kao Marija staneš na scenu sa 5 pratećih vokala. Luka je imao sve: poruku, moderan i svetski aranžman, koncept, nastup... Ono što nije išlo u njegovu korist je to što je možda bio isuviše alternativan, alternativa prolazi dobro samo ako kao i Konstra imaš neku foru koja je svakome prijemčiva. Takođe, užasno loša produkcija zvuka u live programu na TV-u učinila je da zvuči katastrofa, a ova pesma je u tom smislu mnogo rizična-nema pevanja u tom klasičnom smislu reči itd itd... Nastup je bio fenomenalan, najbolji koji je Srbija ikada imala. Meni je on mnogo drag, presrećna sam što nas je predstavljao i nadam se da će još iz nekih rupa iskakati tako unikatne ličnosti i umetnici poput njega

Serbia has always been authentic, it has not been afraid to take risks. This year it was criminal, but I hope they continue betting on original proposals, Serbia is one of the best Eurovision countries.

I hope Luke coming so low won't discourage my country from sending original out of the box entries. Konstrakta was amazing and one of a kind, but Luke was pretty great too! Unfortunately, it was way to experimental for some people.

@@leeman2667 Yes. Shouting is not the only way of singing. This kind of singing requires a lot of practice, especially when you have voice like Luka. He can should too. do that too and so good. Check his other songs. 😊

Nevena Bozovic was my favourite. She has a great voice. That is amazing. I cannot believe it didn't get into top 10. I love their language by the way. I like Serbia when they sings in Serbian instead of English.

My favourte song is def loco loco.I just love the girly power that it holds
I'm still salty they didn't qualify for the grand final in 2013. I know it's been 10 years since then, but I love that entry so much and I wish it didn't fail to qualify.
They ruined their own entry with the clothes, styling, and choreography.
Regardless of the result Luke Black was by far my favourite this year! Serbia can be proud of him!

Except for their entry from 2009, I like every single song from Serbia. 2007, 2012 and 2022 are my top 3. 2010 and 2011 are my two guilty pleasures. If they keep this up, Serbia will grab it's second win any year now. Looking forward to visit beautiful Beograd once more. Greetings from Sweden 👏👏👏👏👏

Actually, I think 2009 song "Cipela" is pretty good, and would do well if we sent it later (I mean look at Moldova's song from 2022, same vibe). BTW I used to hate Cipela back then 😅
In a span of 5 years (2016-2021) Sanja Vučić was 3x times in Eurovision. First time alone and other 2 as part of Hurricane (that is if 2020 contest happened)
I can't decide if "Nocturne" or "Molitva" is the best ESC song ever.

2015 was a brutal top 3 scoring session
That can be said about top 6 that year. From top 7 downwards, the scores were very low.

Konstrakta and Luke Black truly opened the portal to a new era of Eurovision from Serbia, and I’m here to step into it. I'm still very impressed with Luke's performance. Don’t think it will ever happen, but I want Luke Black to come back to Eurovision because I know he would surprise us (in a good way) with something fresh and different. No. I don't think they should send him again, as he hardly got any points. They need to send singers who have voices strong enough for the large Eurovision stages. Luke was just too quiet and practically silent at times. There are those who believe his microphone was dampened or muted, and I think something was going on too. But that is also why a strong singer is needed to overcome problems with the microphone and sound mixing issues. Luke is better for the smaller, more intimate stages. Eurovision gave him the opportunity for people to find out about him, and so now they can follow him and find new music by him and see what he is doing.
I would put Serbia this year over Belgium or Czechia. Luke was truly underrated.

Da, ja uporno govorim da je Luka opljačkan ali nije to ni prvi put da je Srbija bezobrazno zakinuta .... Videli smo ovu seriju izvođača i sada kada se sve to videlo jedno za drugim nadam se da su svi videli koliko je svaka izvedba imala nešto posebno u sebi.... Ja sam prosto ponosna na svoje iako mi imamo kao i uvek one koji su veći katolici od pape.... Divno je bilo odslusati sve ovo sa divnom završnicom.... Luka je ipak pobednik.... 👍👋🦀🇲🇪❤️🇷🇸

I grew up in Sweden since I was a child and I say this nevertheless:
In 2012, Serbia should have won instead of Sweden.
I don't agree as Sweden was iconic that year, while it wasn't anything new from Zeljko Joksimovic. I think he should have won in 2004 (representing Serbian & Montenegro).

The song Samo mi se spava was for me the best and most original song that Serbia sent to the ESC. Another issue is that Europe did not recognize and understand this song.

Here in Serbia we do not like this song. Blagoslov za kraj should have won the National final.

i remember telling my mama and baba that the uk (they were up next) was gonna be stepping in a lot of hair 😂
I think it would have been better if they shortened that hair a few inches and at least had it brushed before they went on. It was just too messy and long, and made them look too sloppy. They didn't have the best choreography and only one of them has a dance background, so the messiness became over distracting.
