Make a kizhi
(kizhi can be made using a white cloth, make it look like a small ball at the bottom part and the top should be like a thiri , thiri means it should be like the cloth used for lighting lanterns in temple),
Take a coconut break it into two, light the top part in a peice of coconut with sesame oil filled inside the coconut.
Please note that the above mentioned kizhi doesn't contain sesame seeds inside.
Then let it completely burn with the oil, the carbon left over can be used as masi
