Such an informative review, really appreciate it. Btw, MAC still makes the 217, but it's made with synthetic hair now, which I appreciate in theory, but.... I have one of the old 217 (and I do mean old, probably 10-12 years old, still going strong) and one of the new synthetic ones, and I gotta say, they just don't perform the same. The new version doesn't grip and blend product as easily, and the hairs feels more flimsy when working with it, so it doesn't quite give the same feeling of control. Just an FYI to anyone reminiscing about the 217 😉

Hello! Have you tried it with a clear lip balm on top? Does it smudge? I like the idea of a stain but I also don’t like my lips to feel dry
Hmmmm I don’t think I’ve tried it with a balm on top since I usually slap it on right before a meeting and forget about it. I wouldn’t imagine the color sliding around if you give it a second to set before applying the balm

You giving this eyeshadow to someone else makes me wanna cry 🥺 I was going to comment that this eyeshadow looks stunning on you and it would be perfect as an everyday shade. It looks so natural and light, just like my dream eyeshadow. Every nude/light eyeshadow looks very bright and unatural on me that it makes me look sick (and I have light skin tone). The lip tint looks nice too.
It’s a beautiful shadow! But the point was I had one in my collection that looked almost exactly the same and the shadow deserved to go to a loving home :)

The shadow is similar to Chantecaille luminescent shadows.... Possibly giraffe or pangolin?
