So after seeing a few people who pointed out stuff I missed on both this video and the second one (mainly this one) I will be putting out a 3rd video on intellevision to go over those points I missed or glossed over it will be out this Saturday
My Father bought me an Intellivision in the early eighties. I'm sure he regretted it as it occupied too much of my time. The trouble was that he bought the voice pack to make B-17 sound better but then insisted that I play Gorilla "Math Fun" ensuring that I lost substantial ability in computer games and developed a hatred for maths. Still, it was a formative experience opening the box on Christmas Day and learning how to tidy the controllers away such that the coiled cables didn't get trapped and damaged. Clarion call to parents: it doesn't matter what gift you buy for you children, use it to get involved with them, not as an excuse to occupy them while you do other things.
@@ProfessorRetro1976 You've heard correct. In all seriousness, the Amico is a mismanaged circus run by incompetent people and at worst is an outright scam. If you do a video, do you and your viewers a favor and at least get some of your information from UA-cam channels like Pat the NES Punk (CU Podcast) or from the 4 hour long Slopes Game Room video. The only problem you might have is that Pat in particular has been following the trail of disappointment that is the Amico so closely, that it will be hard to make a video and say stuff that hasn't already been said.
Hey since this one has been a bit active I'm the comments. I have created a discord for the channel to offer any one to talk and discuss about my content and other things discord.com/invite/YYFQMGVn
The graphics don’t matter if the games are crap. i was six when this came out and I remember the few kids who had it wished they had just gotten a 2600 over this garbage system.
@@bltvd True, and as 2600 titles increased their graphic standard, the advantage of INTV quickly seemed to largely dissipate. In any case, once CV and 5200 were released, INTV was completely dead in the water.

Misspelled Intellivision in the thumbnail. Its also spelled wrong in another video title 😢
Thanks for letting me know
Wow. At $330 in 1979 is equal to $1490 in 2024 dollars.
Yeah I know right.
That's gotta be why my uncle was always extremely watchful when my brothers and I would visit and play!!
Probably an interesting video, but I cannot understand what you are saying.
Neither can the auto generated closed captions.
Not sure what you two are talking about but I can hear it just fine
Sounds like how I talk when I'm wearing my mouth guard to prevent my teeth from gnashing. 🤷🏼
It's good enough. Not as bad as you guys make it out to be.
@@hossainrouf thank you
I have a colecovision and the graphics are badass for it's time and the games are fun
Nice
One day I would love to have working retro consoles

I like the ending of you comment. It is nice too hear a comment like yours.
OMG Please go into the Intellivision Amico!! lol The idiots behind that poop show have provided me with plenty of entertainment over the years.
I was hoping someone would ask I heard horror stories on that.

Will they be taking pre-orders on that system? It looks incredible.
Actually I plan on using slopes video on it. I saw it a few times already and he did a good job on it. I hope I can at least do just as good.
Not sure if I should focus on Tommy tellarico or the console or both
Why would you jump from the original Intellivision to the Amico without first talking about modern homebrews?
I wanted to talk about the lifespan of the original and the company.
I can do a homebrew episode

Title promised the story to be hilarious, but it was not fun at all.
Sorry to disappoint but next week trust me
Have you contacted the returns and claims department?
@@BleuSkiddew I know

The funny thing I never played the intellevision but I played the Atari 2600
Veddy interwesting!
Thanks
The Intellivision being the first 16 bit console was way ahead of its time
No. LOL! Just having a 16 bit cpu means nothing. The CPU was slow, and accordingly so were the games.
Graphics are still better than an Atari 2600.
That is very true the intellevision's graphics were better then the atari 2600

@bltvd that is kind of true, the graphics were not that good
