As for the painting, the loader as a return on the investment, not having loader for 4 months never get that $ back you bought it to use know a few contractors who did custom paint on there loaders in the end always hardly ever do it again. Personally, I think new stickers on the boom promote your company better than the paint and cheapest way. But again, congratulations on the new investment

They lead me to believe they could knock it out fairly quick and thay obviously did not happen. 😒 I'll be interested to find out if it works out in the long run or not. If nothing else, black is an easy color to find in trucks and trailers and so I shouod be able to get those things in the right color with original paint 😅

I had a black vehicle once, awful hard to keep clean. but i understand the thought behind painting it and the rest of your equipment in the same color scheme. Haha, yeah, I was stuck making payments while I waited on paint and it was rather frustrating. It was supposed to be only a few week ordeal and it turned into 4 months 😒 I have thought about what happens when the paint beneath gets exposed. I'm not thrilled about yellow showing through, but the commonly chip/scratched areas are dark gray underneath and I don't think they will show up too bad. The painter did give me the extra paint and so I'll have that to do touch ups if it comes down to it 😬
Would you consider a log grab for it to supplement tree work? In the UK machinery is getting more common, but there’s still a huge market for man and machine hire to small firms.
I've been looking at a couple of different grapple rakes. I don't think I'll pursue a swivel grapple. They're quite costly and are primarily useful in urban tree work, which is not where I expect to use this machine as much.
You can tamp backfill in lifts if compaction is desired. The thickness of the lift is determined by the specs of the tamper. Gotta tamper to go with that nice skidsteer? You'll eventually encounter a situation where you'll need one.
I don't have one right now, but it is on the wish list. I'm pretty sure a vibratory tamper is most appropriate for aggregate backfill and a sheep's foot is more appropriate for clay based backfill. Trench compaction is a challenging achievement sometimes.

When I first bought equipment, I got those ramps because they were cheaper than a trailer and I didn't have a class A. I've since gotten a class A, but putting equipment in the trucks turned out to be pretty convenient. It does become problematic if I need to move materials or lots of extra buckets or anything like that with the machine so I think a trailer will enter the fleet someday.

We recently did full truck wrap for our f350, immediately had him design one for our freightliner bucket and that goes on soon! it feels so good and i feel what you mean so much when you said you actually wanna keep it clean! check into truck wraps next, super pricey but worth it. cool part if u buy a new truck all your paint in brand new the day u sell it and take your wrap off, so thats cool too! a wrap makes your company super unique, i get kids even saying wow nice truck mr, it feels cool! amazing unit bro! i remember my first new unit, its such a cool feeling! did u feel a little weird being so gitty when ya roll up? i know i did, im like i think im crazy, this is a wheel loader... get it together guy! haha had to slap myself before going in hahahah
Haha, I absolutely felt giddy when I got this thing to my little lot finally. 😂 I have been looking into wraps a little bit recently. My biggest concern is their lifespan. From. What I was reading that they only last 3-5 years. Which really isn't terrible, but with the expense it start to feel kinda heavy. We will see though, if I can't find trucks with black paint, I'll definitely be going the wrap route.

Hahaha, thats sounds like the only good answer to a big snow fall. We were supposed to get some yesterday, and it just came down as rain. Snow makes the work a little more tricky, so I won't complain 😅
Nah, it's just industrial paint on this unit. I'll see how it fares. A machine like this has to be painted in several stages and so adding clear coats and such gets super expensive really fast. Ideally, the industrial stuff is harder and tougher than clear coat, but I'm sure it won't ever be quite as shiny.

Beautiful machine and paint job, you might consider painting a centerline in the back of your truck, That way when you back up you’ll be able to match it up to the centerline on your screen.
That's a great idea! I've kinda tried lining thing uo with the hitch, but that only worl at the start of the process and is kinda hard to see in some conditions. Thanks for sharing!
