It sounds like a child becomes a teenager, and they feels that outter world is cruel, your loving family turns in domestic violence, your used-to-be-favorite country gets a lot of problems like corruption, inequality and poverty. That have already been, but you was not noticing it being a child. It sounds like growing up and you can't change my mind

This is just absolutely beautiful.
the beauty of this song for me is, how the music that leads up to and accompanies the lyrics "going to the open sea" has the the rhythm and flow of crashing waves. like the more hollow beats are the body of the waves and the treble ones are the splashing drops. it's musical onomatopaeia.
exactly, you can feel the sea waves when you close your eyes. that's the power of music.

@LAMtv I think it's the best song on VAoB imo. It's beautifully produced and recorded. Fantastic expressive drumming closer to an end. There's very strong emotional value in that song. And this version is a WAY better that from late 90s (?) with different second part of the song.
