I bought my Philips radio that looks exactly like the one in this video in 2024 and I was surprised how good the sound was and many of my cassette tapes sounded different and much better when I played them in my new Philips radio and even those cassette tapes that were in bad condition played perfect in my new Philips radio
Agree this Philips product really sounds excellent and it is not that expensive too. Build quality is very modest too. Enjoy it & thanks for supporting the channel. Best regards from The Netherlands
No It is not possible because the DAB+ transmission range is up till line of sight distance as for all VHF & UHF spectrum so it is not possible that you can receive DAB+ boradcast if it is not been transmitted in your area. DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a standard for digital audio broadcasting developed in the eighties which can theoretically work in the frequency range 30 MHz to 3 GHz. DAB provides a considerably higher audio quality than analog audio broadcast. The terrestrial version is called T-DAB, the name for the satellite version is S-DAB (see Satellite Radio). In Europe T-DAB uses the frequencies 174 MHz - 230 MHz and in congested urban areas 1.452 GHz - 1.492 GHz. A further development of DAB is DAB+ which uses newer methods and is more efficient.
Currently, it is one of the best acoustically solved mobile sets. Additionally, the set of supported media makes it versatile. I recommend.👍
Couldn't agree more!
