all coolant has at least some mix of water inside but i would only use water as coolant only during actual emergencies and you need to get somewhere. don't use water if you just don't want to buy coolant because you will end up destroying your engine
Okay, I had the same question but now have a partial answer. While running a car with normal water will not be catastrophic in the short-term, it's not recommended at all, because plain water has minerals, minerals that will create rust inside the radiator and pipes, and eventually will be very expensive to fix and repair. Also, when you buy concentrated coolant, you need to add distilled water
You chumps. Water is good and is even better at cooling than coolant. Reason why coolant was made was so that your hoses or engine/engine parts doesn't rust also coolant doesn't freeze and water does. Meaning at cold season you better have coolant instead of water you chumps. Also coolant has many other lubricants and chemicals so that it doesn't rust your engine,engine parts, and hoses also as a added bonus it also keeps parts clean with those chemicals so that it can last longer. Keeping water in freezing times it will break your engine just like the plumbing in a house when its freezing time
