    Great perspective! Really we should consider all of our bait choices off of these conditions.

    Fantastic information. Really appreciate the categorical breakdown between Metallic, Matte, and See-thru. I've got a million baits in a million different colors and I use a few favorites and only a few actually catch fish. I guess the old adage "Most lures are made to catch fisherman" has some truth to it, they definitely caught ME!! 20yrs ago this Info would have been a money saver for me, but this is my hobby. 5-Stars my friend.

      Yeah, but part of us fisherman like blowing money on baits every now and then with hopes of some magical success 😉. A healthier form of gambling! Appreciate the comment Skipp. We learned from Randy's excellent instruction as well.

    the color selection does not change day by day. Just like Bait fish do not change color day by day LOL. Give me a break. All of those colors are to catch fisherman not fish. Sorry but I'll never buy into that

      Color do matter on certain days though

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  5 років тому +6

      We disagree with you on this. If you spend a ton of time on the water and have multiple people in the boat (as Randy Blaukat does), fish color preferences emerge, and it can change day by day or even by the hour. Nothing is static in nature. Here's a fresh case in point from the 2019 Bassmaster Classic: ua-cam.com/video/x1-v6tRB0no/v-deo.html

    • @BuckhornConstruction
      @BuckhornConstruction 5 років тому +1

      @@Wired2Fish I agree 1000%. I've always been told that jerkbaits are reactionary baits and that cadence, and color is what triggers that reaction bite. If I'm not getting bit even after varying cadence I'll switch up my colors and go through the motion's all over again of changing cadence until both the color scheme and cadence is the ticket to a successful bite. I've ever experienced just changing color in certain situations is the ticket regardless of cadence. Appreciate these videos it helps to remind myself I'm not entirely crazy in terms of bass fishing. At times i feel we all overthink this whole thing lol.

      Yeah but he bases his style of jerkbait fishing specifically on the Megabass line up-- because they sponsor him, so of course he thinks we should all break it down according to the colors and patterns they sell. Shocker huh?
