    I bought a Samsung Washer/Dryer roughly about 2018, and looking at this, it’s amazing how far things have come. For example, laws have forced manufacturers to add the Eco 40-60 (something mine doesn’t have). On the Siemens, I love that it tells you the weight of washing each programme is designed for - again, Samsung, take note. What I’ve never seen though, and which is more handy - how many people actually have a means of weighing their washing before they load it? Wouldn’t it be sensible if the machine was weighing the load as you were filling the machine, and beeping at you if you went overweight? This is really important for someone like me, because I need a washer/dryer for my flat, and often the drying weight is a couple of kilos under the wash only weight. Again, on the Siemens, the economy indicator bars are really useful. As a bit of a nerd, I like lots of indicators and lights, but again, what’s pretty poor about my Samsung, is that the economy information for each programme isn’t included anywhere - a page in the instruction manual is better than nothing. And my Samsung doesn’t tell you this. When you see a machine like this Siemens, it just makes it plainly obvious how important certain functions are! When I need to change my machine, I’ll perhaps have a better idea of what to look out for!

    Hi, thanks for your lovely video which I’ve commented about before. I now have the washing machine and have used the vario speed on the easy care option.
    It’s great in that it dramatically drops the washing time. But does that mean it’s not such a gentle wash? The manual seems to indicate that it changes our settings bit concerned that it may increase the temp, spin speeds etc, which could bring detrimental to clothes that need gentle/low temperature wash.

    My door hinge has just broken on my very old and much loved Siemens washer. I'm hoping to replace with another Siemens but find the bleeping every time you press a button (or many buttons!) extremely annoying . Also, I often put a wash on when the rest of the house is still asleep so the quieter the better. Is there an option to turn it off? I also like the extra rinse function for washing my son's clothes as he has eczema.. is that function on this machine? Thanks

    Very good video and so easy to understand. I’m in the market for a new washing machine and this could fit the bill. I’ve never owned a Siemens appliance before so I’m wondering how reliable their machines generally are. The five year warranty is a great bonus to have.

    What a brilliant video...so helpful! I just wondered if you know the dimensions for the 7kg model? Unfortunately, the 8/9kg will protrude slightly to much into the kitchen, so I'm hoping the 7kg model will be 2-3cm less? Otherwise, is everything else the same spec and performance as the larger models? Many thanks in advance.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  2 роки тому

      The 7kg is about 3cm less in depth but the spec is basically the same as the larger sized models. Thanks for your feedback

    Great video and explanation. My current 10 yr old Siemens washing machine has been great but the bearings have now gone and I'm replacing with this one. Seems very similar. Good to know that in 10 years they are still producing excellent machines. I also have a connector to add my dryer to the top. Have you any idea whether this will work on this machine? It has a pull out table which is very useful.

    • @lords-electrical

      I know the kind of stacking kit you have. There is a good chance it will work but i couldn't guarantee it will fit like your current one does.

      @@The4manxies Not from here, but I think I have the answer from reading the sales literature in more detail: Apparently this newer model will automatically do a second rinse if it detects there is still excessive foam in the water after the first rinse. I've run the cycle a few times and, to be honest, I'm very satisfied with the results. I have probably, in the past, run a second rinse when it was not required. Best wishes.

    I have this Siemens Washing Machine WM14UT93GB. Does it weigh the washing when I put it in the machine to let me know the weight of my load?
    Mrs Denton

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 роки тому

      It won't really weigh the washing, but it will send a certain amount of water through at the beginning of the wash. Depending on how much is saturated, the washer will then alter the amount of water that is used for each wash. Great question though

      That is a shame, I think it’s a missed opportunity that it wasn’t engineered into the spec so you know how much of a load you have in the machine.

    My sister in Bulgaria has a very similar washer with the matching dryer. She likes it. However Siemens as a brand completely dissappeared all of the sudden. Only Bosch and Neff models are available from that brand family. I know you don't sell Miele but I have an 18 year old Bosch Maxx that might die soon for good and I am looking at Miele as a replacement. Don't care about features too much just performance and reliability. What do you think?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Рік тому +1

      Miele as a brand are very good but go for the machines where the manufacturers offer the longer warranty. If a manufacturer is that confident in their reliability on a machine at around £500 then the warranty should reflect that. I don't know much about Miele machines but looking online it looks like even the machines around £1000 only have a 2 year warranty compared to a Siemens at around £600 with a 5 year warranty. I would question Miele why they don't think their machines can last 5 years without providing a warranty to prove it?

    • @kokovox
      @kokovox Рік тому

      As long as the program has finished then yes you should be able to open the door. Also when it is switched on, just make sure the child lock is not active, as you may struggle to open the door if it is active and the power has been turned off.

    • @lords-electrical

      It is the same company, but Siemens normally concentrate on the higher end of the market with Bosch concentrating on the medium sector of the market which is the most popular segment.

      @@lords-electrical hi
      I'm finding that there are a few comments about wet washing in the drum on the 9kg/8kg siemens wm14ut83gb & no spin. Now from what I understand its due to the machin3 sensing the load imbalance & will adjust accordingly. I appreciate its the responsibility of the manufacturers to protect its machine & warranty callbacks, in real life though when myself or customer uses a machine we don't wish to be spending time weighing washing or picking it apart , unless it's colours or whites !
      For nearly £600 quid I'd expect it to work seamlessly . If the machine is overloaded then I'd expect issues , that goes without saying. So what is the solution to this issue ? As it appears a number of brands have this issue also especially the ebac range! So my thinking is , is it the technology being too sensitive, & over protecting the appliance. Ive had a bosch h & c fill a+++ for over 20 years & no matter what i put in it large or small or uneven it works fine! Now given in that 20 years technology has taken huge leaps forward, but it seems in tbis case its taken 3 steps back! As a plumbing & heating engineer & have fitted loads of different brands over the years. In recent times customers have all said the same about length of the cycles! Nearly 4hours for one specific wash is crazy. Especially for a large family who use the machine 2/3 times a day, realistically its not ideal as most families will do 2 washes & sling it on the line or airer before they start their day. So for 2 washes totalling nigh on 6hours is madness. Not all can use the facility of sticking it on of a night due to sensitive neighbours or kids especially if living in a flat!
      I'd love to hear your thoughts. As im in the process of upgrading my machine. I prefer a gear built unit over Spanish or Thai build. I have a budget of approx £700 what can you recommend. I did call one of your outlets but was met with rudeness telling me it was a sales line I had called to which I replied thats the reason for my call! & she said she had others waiting on the phone! I am a customer !! Really poor customer service. I was hoping tk speak with you as opposed to a service agent who is only reading details of a screen!!
      I look forward to your reply .
      Kind regards
      Richie 👍
