I miss visiting the Viper plant on Conner in Detroit. The line moved so slow compared to all the other FCA plants and it was awesome seeing the full build process. Even the seats and all fabric were hand stitched by these ladies on their sewing machines at the Integrators. very well built and jaw dropping.. Sucks they were retired :-(
The ACR was on pace for sub 7 on the ring but the tires gave up 😥they are very underrated car imo. one of my favorites 👍

I see your pain.... I sure hope things get better with those vehicles. With what you have already built and the people you know, you could add a couple of talents to really help with other aspects of the channel. Ideas and managing film timelines to coincide with editors is something that others can be pretty good at. You have so much potential already; I can't wait to see what you turn this into. Chillin with you would be a dream!

Hey Chet, seeing as you are the investor for sxsblog and they have released the video on why Frankie is leaving. You should push for them to let all us fans know the rich situation.
I think it's only fair really. We are all continuing supporting their channel with buying merch and whatnot. But we need some clarity and if they won't give it to us it would be nice if you could step in for the people.

Do a video on the system for the truck or post a build list, Probably only me and like 2 others interested 😂 On the Audi, One thing to note is a dealership is a parts replacer, They will not rebuild your engine, they will simply only replace it. Find a reputable Euro mechanic, Every city and small town has a European specialty shop, Many being VAG shops. (Volkswagen Auto Group, stay away from gyno offices they can't help you, with you or your car!!🤣)

Can’t beat a duramax for a daily. 3/4 ton but still rides good and suspension parts hold up good to the rough roads in my neck of the woods.

With that Audi, Chet, if a tune was loaded onto the ECU it should have a date stamp in the system somewhere. Wouldn't that prove that IF there is an aftermarket tune on it, it wasn't done during your ownership. You should have dates of when the vehicle went to Audi and if the date stamp is after that, I would say audi is fuckin around. They should have to prove that there's a tune and when it was installed.
That isnt how it works! You prove that there is no other tune installed! But Audi wont fuck around. They just dont. Buy a Audi, do it the European way dude. Screw your USA way. Our way or the highway! 😆
You could always hand over your Audi engine to "I do cars" for a tear down.

Calling a cast iron single cam pushrod 20v V10 exotic is ridiculous. It's a grunty, torquey 600lbs lump of iron. The only complex thing is the Vario-cam.

I hate to say it, but modifying the Tesla to that level does devalue them. It narrows the market of buyers considerably.
Caveat- I do it too, I just understand from the start that when I strap a giant turbo on "whatever", build the engine, and drill the block for bigger head/main studs, that I have narrowed the amount of buyers thus devaluing the vehicle to normal markets..

@Jacob . Mm no.. Viper was a super car from the beginning-end.. unlike the corvette. Viper were really low production #'s. Parts are expensive/hard to find. Always 6spd.. never even had an automatic option.. always had a v10. always had more power than reg sports cars. Always more expensive. Always competitive on a track. Always front-mid engine. Always 11" front and 13" wide wheels on the back.. That's not normal sports car stuff, or normal corvette stuff. On top of that, most people agree agree it's a super car. so 🤷♂️

@Fabrica N; the definition of a 'Supercar" is very subjective and recent, along with a false label to begin with.
A. Your other claims about the Viper are proven False, Falsely Biased, Baseless, actually quite the opposite = LIES !!
B. There other more accurate designations and labels with "performance", "sports", "exotic" cars are more useful and correct, though also variable too.

The Viper is a special car! It has so much character. I drove a few 2k -2012. Another fun one is the truck dodge/chrysler had with the v10 viper engine.
When I was working for Chrysler the vipers where hand built in a fairly small part of the factory. You could also work with their approved aftermarket to get them putting down 1000+ hp

On the Audi, I'm not sure how Audi's warranty works, but certain manufacturers will not tear an engine down that is making certain noises and setting off certain codes. The manufacturer will ship a new replacement engine for it that comes in a plastic creat, and the "blown" engine is stuck in a plastic bag and put in the creat and sent back so that they can take it apart and see what failed. In other words, it could be something that can be repaired a lot cheaper than replacing the entire engine, but due to the manufacturer, the Audi dealerships may not be allowed to tear it down. If that makes sense. But yes, If any dealerships run a diagnostic scan on a vehicle it will tell them that there's a tune in it, and when the tune was installed, and all that info goes into the system and some will print out a copy of its findings, so maybe ask for a copy of it and see if it dates the time the tune was put in. That could help you if an Audi dealer sold you the car with the tune already in it.

Saw one parked at Harbor Freight in the Detroit area. I must have taken 100 pictures. I couldn't believe how low the car was, clearence and overall height. Felt like it went up to my knees.

Calling a viper a super car is very derogatory. 🤮. Although I hate the new corvettes because I'm an old school GM lover they are 100% a super car. They are faster than most factory suoercars and are built just like a damn Ferrari which is stupid for a corvette. The C7 Is the last great corvette.
