Hearing this terrified us as well, as ALL of our beloved furbabies are some form of herding breed. We now have a mini Aussie and a Border/Aussie and use Interceptor because the Iverhart had this ingredient. It was a bit difficult to even FIND Interceptor and we had to buy (6 months worth I think) of the Iverhart and now we are back on Interceptor. Actually, this reminds me to call to find the probiotic for doggies that we are looking for! Our female is on anti-biotics and knowing what they do to the HUMAN body, I asked the vet about whether we should be replacing her gut flora after the round of anti-b's with PRO-b's and she actually gives her dog the probiotics at the same time to avoid the runs that hers gets from being on antibiotics. Now I wonder if switching like that was bad?

Hi, Dr Roarke~ I would like for you to give an update on allergy testing in dogs (cats?). I haven't kept up with the more recent tests, and a friend's 6 month old boxer is already having dermatology problems. I'd like to NOT have him battle skin problems for the rest of his life if we can determine what the significant allergens are for him. He's a almost all white boxer, male/neutered, not deaf, otherwise healthy---but ALWAYS licking himself & causing abrasive lesions, sometimes requiring antibiotics! Help!
