everything in this is amazingly well done, but I can't help but compare it's too when Dan is singing it... it must be hard as fuck to follow Dan doing this piece. LOL
This is a pure Dan Tompkins song for sure. Eric of course gives a very admirable effort though. It's hard to pull off those super high notes the way dan does. Especially in the chorus. There's a video of a more recent performance of this song and eric sounds better in it than he does here.
Unfortunately, not all people can enjoy. Why can't people accept a voice which is different? Answer: Dude shut up! Only pros can evaluate... Me : Hmmm Hahahaah Conclusion: They all sound so good and Eric is one unique high pitched vocalist.
For the saints in the comments like “ oO0o0, yOu sHoUlDnT cOmPaRe ThE vOcAlS WiTh Dan’s VocAls”: Why? Why shouldn’t I. I WILL COMPARE and everyone who ve listened to this masterpiece will, and yes DAN’s VERSION IS MUCH BETTER THAN ERICS because he’s a better vocalist. Doesn’t mean Eric is bad but stop letting people judge and compare. You prefer prog over pop because you ve “judged” pop to be not as good and rightly so...
Hmm, weird that Eric is avoiding all the falsetto vocals. I wonder why? I guess he hasn't done much practicing in falsetto or then he's not confident in hitting the notes.
his voice doesn't really fit Dan's material but it works with the new stuff. and to be fair, he did a damn good job trying his best. and you can def tell he doesn't feel comfortable for some reason
well, i do think dan's voice lends itself well to a myriad of different musical types, so i'm sure, should the circumstances be different, he'd be able to re-integrate into sky harbor even with the new stuff. this new guy isn't horrible and i agree he's trying his ass off, but it's just not clicking for me. there's something a little too nasally for my ears, but if it works for others, that's cool. fwiw, blinding white noise was a work of art.
brett leasure when I saw them in Texas last spring it took a min to get used to the voice. on the album it works much better. I would much rather have Dan and I understand Eric isnt gonna be for everyone.
Always wondering what drives people to change their look permanently. As the vocalist did. Trying to not focus on that but it is hard. Especialy with addition of his saddly weak performance
If anyone wonders, the other song is "Illusion: Celestial".
chaser thanks! ❤️
This is the peace I was looking for and I can't download . Leave it . Cheers BTW
the best version of patience... keep it guyz.. we need more bands like this.

Awesome live
The last chorus got me pretty pretty pretty hard!!! 😭
Eric and Dan both are similar vocalist good fitted with skyharbor
Missing Dan
♡
Daniel Tompkins is the best :v
Dos puntos uve :v
Hey, Eric, I really like your vocals but I think little less vibrato could serve the song better.

WHY EVERY FUCKING WORD HAS TO USE VIBRATTO?
sorry, not a fan of this dude's voice. dan's best work, in my opinion, was with sky harbor and not tesseract
Yeah, he's okay, but when it comes to covering Dan's work it's just not the same. It was the same with Ashe in Tesseract.

fair enough. i'm just glad this didn't turn into a flame war or anything.

They changed their singer. Lol
unfortunately this is almost unenjoyable because of the vocals...
This is awful, the new singer completely ruined the song
the vocalist was sick that night? I really do not like him singing.
