Man, I've had the wind knocked out of me and was gasping for air. Years ago I fell flat on my back. Knocked my wind out. That shit is borderline scary trying to breathe. I wonder how fighters deal with that? I've seen fights end like that. Fighters got hit just right and knocked the wind out of them. If you know what I'm talking about and had it happen to you, then you know what I mean. Wind knocked out, is 99.9% a KTFO or TKO.

Well Peirera was winning round 1 until the last second. Peirera won round 2. Izzy won round three w the ground and pound. Alex took the 4th to rest to be ready for the 5th. It was a good fight and Alex landed a bunch of good strikes. It wasn't this crazy one sided fight. If it went to decision. Izzy would have won 3-2 which is a close fight.

I agree with everything you said except for being graceful in defeat. I think it’s quite the opposite. The only thing I dislike about Izzy is how he handles his media stints. He’s either making cringey insults or excuses like he is now. He’s one of my favorite fighters from a pure fighting perspective. An absolute pleasure to watch. His movement & creative feints are masterful. But to come on here, make fun of Alex & talk about “I was going to back out” and “my leg was dragging” is not very graceful IMO. Graceful is saying “yeah, he got me again. He was more prepared than I expected. Next time I will be prepared to go out there & take it from him.”
Something about the way he’s handling this makes me feel like he’ll never beat Alex. It’s like he’s making up reasons that he’s lost to him 3 times instead of just accepting it. If he can’t accept it, how can you expect him to properly strategize for the kind of fighter Alex is? You have to put Alex away. Letting him stand with you for 25 minutes is way too much time to get KOd. All it takes is one shot & Alex isn’t afraid of Izzy.
I really want Izzy to beat Alex next time. I think this was good for the division though. I just hope that Izzy takes a more level headed approach & leaves his ego at the door, because that will be his downfall if he can’t.

TBH izzy ain't bothered because he knows alex didn't beat him fairly, you 20lbs over your opponent that is damn near cheating if izzy 210 and alex 225+ on fight night nothing fair about that and worst thing is izzy almost beat him being that much smaller has to be a confidence booster if anything lool I wouldn't sweat losing a unfair fight either no one beating izzy fairly jan was 20lbs bigger too, so izzy basically undefeated since no one has beat him under fair circumstances

this is so beautiful to witness. He's my fav fighter and despite that a huge inspiration and seeing him lose was hard but the way he is handling it helps me and like they said a lot of ppl probably to cope with that or disappointments in general better aswell.
Seeing Charles lose was hard for aswell but due to language barrier and that he's not being so much in the public like Adesanya gives me more insight how he thinks and deals with it.
Beautiful to see him happy, laughing... and the story is not finished yet.
I hope he wins against him and we witness a trilogy.
