You cats go to the trouble to get it done right. Some of your content is tough. Great bunch of players and vocals. Harmonies are spot on. I really enjoy watching your productions.
They are just as good live in person.😍😍😍
You guys killed it !!
Who is this guy singing? He's great. Just heard She's a Beauty. What's his name and what else does he sing. Awesome.
pay all $1
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can come close to nailing this cover any better!!
I agree completely 👏👏👏👏👏
Ditto !!!
Sorry, but Fu&kin A. Totally!
Holy crap, those guitar parts are absolutely frickin perfect. They captured EVERY little lick, fill and bend I’ve heard in the background for decades. This is live studio jam perfection.
Those who have never played guitar cannot appreciate how difficult and how much time it takes to be that good. Those of us who have played guitar see this and realize how truly incompetent we are. Absolutely fabulous guys. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent in a way that is so enjoyable and frankly, touching.
Roger is s true pro! Thanks for the kind words!
Nicely stated, sir.
ha! Speak for yourself
@@frontcentermusician don't mind admitting I couldn't pull off that lead.
@@russellmclatchey3100 Me neither But I've been inspired. I'm going to start working on this one.
it is hard to believe these guys are regular folks, not rock stars
They are now !
Here's a funny story...I was in my church band and some years ago during the pastor's sermon he made the statement pertaining to the sermon, "you have to hold on loosely...anyone remember that song"...and I broke into the intro on my guitar and and people along with the pastor burst out into laughter!!
This is without question the BEST cover I have ever heard of any 38 Special song. 38 Special is so under-rated in myhumble opinion and these guys NAILED THAT SHIT!!
Ditto. Bingo. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Couldn't agree more. The hair on my neck stood up while they were playing. Great cover of this song!!!
More !!!! Wild eyed southern boys !!!!
Hows about that guy with the black les Paul? Rocked that shit!
I couldn't agree more.
The only band that can literally play anything and sound amazing. Another stellar performance and two drummers to boot!
Wasn't it the same drummer during two different recording sessions? That's what it looked like to me.
There it is folks. That, is how it’s done !!
38 Special!!! I love all the guitars! How these young ones can play songs that definitely came b4 these men!
Being totally hooked on the LLB channel at this point, I'd like to call out *Randy Refalo* for being
an absolute rock on the bottom end on so many of these songs - he delivers, every single time.
Good on ya Randy!
- Ed on the Ridge
The sound guy needs to take a bow!
One of my favorite guitar solos of all time. NAILED IT! Bravo Awesome cover.
Yep! Roger Coleman is a BEAST on guitar.
This singer has an amazing ability to carry a wide array of tunes and bands. Big props.
This song isn't easy to sing; the lead singer really pulled it off!!
Just brilliant. The vocalist is exceptionally good and the lead guitarist is totally on fire. Congratulations guys! You nailed it and made it sound fresh too. No mean feat.
Folks who like this should make a donation or buy some merch.
Double drummers! Y'all always go the extra mile to make it perfect! Looking forward to more .38 Special!
John Moore had to try it! Tony and Jeff really locked in for these tunes!
@@LexingtonLabBand They did a fantastic job! All of you did! Thank you from the bottom of my Southern Rock Southern Heart!
Theres a reason Tony played drums for 10+ years for Montgomery Gentry...he's purdy good!
Who is the drummer for montgomery gentry ?
@@drummer3249 Tony Hammonds on the Ludwig kit.
This southern boy approves! Carry on and hold on loosely.
I'm speechless. Again, these master musicians assembled this project from the ground up, one note at a time, as close to the original as possible. And they manage to do so without flailing themselves all about the area. Good musicianship IS the show, for these folks, and I am deeply appreciative.
I love listening to cover bands this good. Sometimes I like them better than the original artists
I can’t like this enough! Best cover of 38 special that I’ve ever heard.. vocals, guitar players and drummer, you guys are very talented...! I need more! ❤️
Wow, thank you!
This song is 40 years old as I write this. Maybe the sounds on Wild Eyed Southern Boys is dated, but the material is ageless. What a great interpretation this is! True to the original, and a great tribute to the guitar talent that is Jeff Carlisi. Overlooked and underrated.
That’s crazy to think 40 years have passed. I grew up in the suburbs of DC and got to see them on tour in ‘85. These guys crushed the cover!
I saw them the first time in 1982 and they were the best Love 38 special. Great cover Lexington lab band
Carlisi and Don Barnes played great off each other. :)
1978
Good ole Southern Rock n Roll. Got to have those three guitars and a bass for the big sound
Glad to see they are keeping true to the old sound, accurate, not putting their own spin on the cover song. It rarely works. This is awesome.
The timing is phenomenal. This is raw music and real talent at its finest. Nothing you see nowadays. Good to see you guys keeping the history of RnR alive.. you've earnt a new sub. I'm sold
Seriously diggin' that Les Paul with minibuckers!!!
Ahh.. very cool, 38 is a great band, yall did it justice! Kudos
38 years I've been listening to this song covered by so many but no where as good as this. You all are excellent musician's and awesome to have fun with!
Friggin outstanding!!! More 38 Special! Please ! Wild Eyed Southern Boys !!!!!!!!!!
another amazing cover... talent top notch
Great song
Just a bunch of really talented guys who love to play.
Every time I listen to this it gives me goose pimples. LLB is just totally awesome!!
Agreed. This is an awesome song. If someone told me this was the original,I'd believe them.
thanks for the time machine...
Freakin perfect...insane!!!
Always loved the nod Jeff Carlisi gave to Allen Collins at the end of the solo (Free Bird). Great job guys!
What I like about this band is they nail it. The singer is so versatile, he sings many top 40 songs. They have different musicians filling in for different songs. Their all all top notch. Great job, I really enjoy them. Imagine if they they they had their own hits!!!
Another superb effort. Just beautiful tone off that old Deluxe.
great groove, super falsetto, and 2 lead guitars! Daniel opens, and at the end, Rockin' Roger brings it home
Nice job, Mr. Black Gibson. Jeff Carlisi should be proud. This is one of my fav leads of all time. You did it proud.
Excellent sound from everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, I don't really know who these guys are, but I've had enough of their videos shoved into my feed to show they really know their shit. They have nailed everything I have ever seen them do.
Doing a listening to your Van Zant tunes. 1 for 1.....AWESOME!!!!!
No way to express how you guys affect me and thousands all over the world. Thanks for what you are doing for art!
Jack Grondin and Steve Bookins would love the dual drummers, classic Southern rock.
Absolutely perfect!!!
Great! Great! GREAT!!!
havent listened to anyone else since I found this group ...thanks guys..and ladies...
Damn....!!!! Donny would be proud !!! Great job guys - outstanding!!!
Superb! The guitar tones, voicing and phrasings are spot on!! Perfect dynamics!!!🎉
Pretty sure Don Barnes has heard this version and he probably could not believe his ears. These fellas are THAT good. As a 70 year old who has played drums, guitar and keyboards I am in awe of the LLB. Whew!
Spot on gents!!! Love the dueling drums and triple guitar threat!!! Cheers!!!
I've seen 38 Special live several times. You guys did a fantastic cover of this song.
Thanks for another one LLB!
LLB the greatest 80's cover band!
Been listening to these Guys several years. They are solid, tight pros...I'd pay admission to see 'em.
As usual........ 100% performance from everybody at Lexington Lab Band.
Nicely done guys. Lead guitarist nailed the solo. Tight. Rock on! Your fan/friend always, Scott Jones
Scott Jones we are always thankful for your interest and support. Need to get you to Lex for a show!
Scott Jones dude the solo is so friggen perfect!!
Man o man, what a fantastic cover of a truly great rock classic.
Great job! Very nicely done, really captured those very specific 38 special tones.
Sound Engineer needs a raise !
EXCELLENT!!
Solid!!!
My question is there anything you can’t sing I mean man 38 special to Chicago to u2 to Toto and foreigner def leopard to journey you guys are the real Amazing absolutely amazing talent
38 Special is one fantastic band, man you guy's are so run'in parallel!
Wow! Nailed it! Sounds exactly like the original.
👍 Nice. Always felt this song needed a faster tempo with more Van Halen like guitar sound tuning wizardry to accentuate so much of what's going on here. The guitar and vocals are special.
This song is begging for a refresh for the kids today!
wow! these guys are awesome! they feel it, they get it! amazing! thanks so much!
Wow. Simply tremendous cover of a truly great song. Lead-guitar outro is especially brilliant; it’s always been one of my all-time favorite lead solos.
Thanks for watching!! Make sure to subscribe and turn on the alerts for when we upload new content!!
Being in the UK I wasn't familiar with this band and as I love your version I checked out the real thing and to say you do it justice is a vast understatement!
Just check out some other Southern Rock, like Molly Hatched, Lynyrd Skynerd, The Allman Brothers, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Blackfoot. .38 Special,...it goes on and on...Have a great day from across the pond! Just North of the Gulf of Mexico...
You nailed that one, the guitars sound excellent and just as good as the original. Thanks for the channel, listen to you on over nights at my job.
Simply awesome.
One of my favorite bands, many years ago. Awesome stuff and SPOT ON!
OMG. Mind. Blown. Wow. This is one of my Top 5 songs of ALL TIME, and this is the singular best cover of it I have ever heard / seen. Just amazing. The musicianship on this track is stunning, in my opinion. That Les Paul is singing out. But everyone on this did a phenomenal job. Wow. I mean... I'm mesmerized by this one. Don Barnes and Jeff Carlisi were just repped right!
I bow down to you guys....you smoked on BOSTON and now 38 SPECIAL,....you guys are fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! ROCK ON BROTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Goosebumps, perfect cover!
Haven't heard this song in a long time. Great job.
As a drummer my self it’s a good song to play and I had fun playing it
i hear it every week.
y'all done .38 Special, proud!
My rock addiction has gotten it's fix for today !
Once again you nailed “38 Special”. One of my fav songs…. Iam 63, still love this song!
The only difference between this and the original is the names of each band are different. Love listening to you guys. -Tom
The first time I learned to play this song as a teenager I had it figured out before the end...but...the difference between getting it 90% right and this, is huge! This is the best cover I've ever seen and my go to now to practice it in my old age.
Middle-Age Guys ROCK!!!!
Bravo 👏🏻
Excellent song. Takes me back to the warm summer days in the 80's. Very nice job guys!!! Loved it!!
Shot gunning 3.2 beer and waiting for the real stuff to come around. Long live the 80's
I swear... if I closed my eyes... I'm listening to .38 Special. What a fantastic job on this cover. Absolutely Superb...Excellent job to all the musicians in the band.
They make me proud to be from the Bluegrass State
Man y'all are soooooo GOOD!
Ok, like everyone else I loved the song and musicianship BUT...what no one talks about is he videography and editing. As a photographer, I love how the band was set up. The tight shots on highlighted notes was spot on. I'm guessing a flycam was used since the picture is so stable. Loved the tight shot on the last note! Great song, great cover, great photography.
Outstanding Outstanding Outstanding
These guys are great
Hard to pull off Don Barnes lead vocals. Don has a big range and is one of a kind. His vocals were made for FM radio. When he goes to the upper register in this song his voice is still thick even into head voice. Well done. Intonation is spot on. I was listening for the underlying guitar riffs. Nailed it.
This band is great. Also add the frequently overlooked- you sound engineers and camera people doing a Great Job.
Revisiting some classics of LLB... STILL amazed at the depth of skill and talent this band brings to this world! Never forget how well this group replicates and orchestrates classic rock, country and everything they play for our generations of music lovers!
Ahhh! Just got my daily fix of LLB music. Don't know how I missed this gem until now. Excellent work guys !
My goodness the boys can play those guitars. Superb job and talent.
Very quickly becoming my favorite UA-cam band. Can't believe the sheer number of fantastic musicians. Would be very special spending an evening watching any combination of musicians live.
Love that these guys don’t use profanity. Refreshing.🤘🏽
I caught that also. Pretty cool to have that kind of character.
Right on! What an amazing cover. Love what you create in the Lab!
