SUPERBOOTH 2024: Fred's Lab - Manatee Spectral Synth

- At Superbooth 2024, Fred from Fred's Lab showcased the final version of their long-awaited spectral synthesizer Manatee. Manatee offers a unique approach to sound design with two envelopes, two sources including a spectrum generator, sub-oscillator with FM options, classic multimode filter, distortion, bitcrusher, delay, equalizers, and a versatile mixing section. The synthesizer also boasts 64 factory presets with additional user slots for customization.
In terms of connectivity, the Manatee features MIDI in, out, through, clock input, stereo audio outs, and a headphone jack. Initially, the synthesizer will be available to Kickstarter backers, followed by pre-orders on the website at a preferential price. Fred highlighted the hard work put into the Manatee and its rich, deep sound quality. Kickstarter supporters should begin receiving their Manatees in a couple of weeks.

This thing sounds way better than I expected. I didn't expect such a small box, to have this big of a sound. This is a great time for gear. Although, I'm still waiting for my dream synth/computer hybrid, so I can use any plugin/DAW I want, in a full keyboard synth, with assignable knobs, lots of I/O, and premium AD/DA conversion. Considering that plugins are getting so good, I'm surprised that there's no company making something like this. It would be especially great if they added an analog filter, so you could run plugins through it. If I was rich, I would invest in R&D. I keep leaving comments like this, because I hope someone reads it, and they make it.
You already do. It's called eurorack.
Or get a workstation like the montage M and an analog filterbank. Route sounds in and out as you'd like.
Your suggestion and expectations are unrealistic, however what you're looking for already exists.
Sounds great and does a lot. Does the 4 synths mean it will work multitimbrally over midi?
Of course every part of the 4 has its own midi channel. I own the last two synths of Fred’s Lab (Buzzzy and Töörö) which are also multitimbral and you can freely configure the Midichannel of each part.
