Colossal is the hardest titan to play as due to the fact you can’t nuke till you get to stage 14 and getting there from stage 1 is almost impossibly hard. Trash teammates, insubordination happy soldiers, one shift, mouth grabbing titans, and more.

There is only one tip that will help you. Don’t shift unless you are going to die. If they ask you to breach, don’t. Shifting equals death. (Unless you are the last warrior or armored is dead then don’t shift.)

When colossal steam unshifts, if you use a green flare right after the titan body disappears it will mark everyone BESIDES colossal when he’s out of his invisibility. This allows you to see the ONLY GUY who isn’t marked and end his life. (Can be countered by colossal hiding in the corner somewhere but also can be found by another soldier.) 2. When steam unshifting, the sound of your hooks can still be heard. Imagine being alone and then all you hear is hooking going from left to right through your headset. It’s a dead giveaway and most people use this to also keep track of colossal. 3. Happy accidents. Let’s say you get mouth grabbed and no one is coming to save you, you’re done. If you HAD that shift then now would be a great time to use it. 4. Happy accidents V2. Damn, someone had accidentally insubed you while you were both trying to kill a titan and now you’re out of a shift and basically dead. 5. Foresight background sniping. This is otherwise known as the present version of Leaderboard Sniping. Based on the way you walk, type, how many kills you get while shifters are shifted, and more, people can sus you out real quick. A neat trick is getting the person you think is shifter to type while the shifted person is moving. In doing this the person HAS to stop for a second either before or after speaking and if they don’t speak then they’re probably the shifter. This has helped me on multiple occasions catch shifters just because when they type you can see the little twitching of their character because they froze for a moment. All of this makes shifting as colossal when armored should be the one to do it basically impossible. NEVER have your colossal titan shift as armored.
