New farmers in beautiful Berry NSW

Kim and David King manage their farm in Berry with holistic management principles. When they moved from the city to their 83-acre property near Berry five years ago they were new to farming. They reached out to NSW Local Land Services, for advice and attended courses. Now the farm is home to around 40 head of beef cattle, free range chickens and a number of beehives.
As large properties are divided into smaller farms, the management of each farm is important to the functioning of the environmental systems as a whole. The Every Bit Counts website has plenty of information about how farmers can improve the landscape.
