The year is 2029. The TvZ meta has evolved dramatically with everyone using Ghost style all the way from the opener. Terrans do mass Ghost and mass Planetary only. People get called scrubs for making Marines. The outcome of most high level TvZs now hinges 100% on whether Zergs can successfully use burrowed Infestors with Neural Parasite to use a Ghost to EMP the other Ghosts. People are screaming Terran OP, pls nerf.
I did the math, you need 4.7 SCV's on gas and 6.4 SCV's on minerals for each barracks producing ghost, including the cost of supply depots. So you need a third for 3 barracks ghost and for 5 rax ghost you need 8 gases and 56 SCVs in total only for ghost production, without all the nukes, planetaries and upgrades. P.S. I am posting this again since last comment got deleted because I linked the tool I created and used for these calculations, I can link it in discord
Honestly, the nukes just add way too much value to just spam ghosts. 100 minerals/100 gas, to potentially kill an entire mineral line, compared to 150 minerals/125g for a single ghost. There is the cost of the academy as well to consider but that is evened out for the barracks/tech lab. I would say a 1 to 1 ratio, an academy for every barracks.
yeah, I think 1 rax per base is a good rule since all the gas won't go into ghost production, so infrasturcture, upgrades, planetaries and nukes will be actually afordable Edit: On 4 base fully saturated gas economy you can spam Nukes from 3 academies with constant 4rax ghost production, but with no gas left
Dont ever stop talking in ur videos! Right now ur doing it well and bc of that its really entertaining. Beastyqt kinda had the problem that he was so focused that he couldnt speak anymore (while properly playing). Even in 1v4s u speak to us all the time, its actually insanely great.
I think I have figured out the most effective way to persuade Maru to participate in the 25k subs showmatch based on the first game against zerg, you should just ask him like, "Hey, remember the GSL Finals when Rogue owned you with non-stop roaching 3 games in a row? I got you covered. Meet. The. Build."
The beauty of launching several nukes at once is that there's something like a downtime on the alert unlike in SCBW where even if it is 0.1s apart you will get all alerts play on top of each other.
That has got to be the most painful loss in that guy's SC2 career. Even his army 2x 3x your size couldn't even scratch yours in a head on fight....damn.
@3:11 Yes try with Maru as well, Thermy you where my best terran player..... now it's you and Maru. And with this content that you are creating I have to say that you are the top.

That's how you nuke! Beasty taught me that haha - load a medical full of cloaked silent ghosts, sneak into the main, EMP the orbitals and launch 3-4 nukes just like that haha
BeastyQT has several epic ghost challenges and he did the EMP orbital trick several times. Worth a watch but he has moved on from SC2 for the time being. Glad to see another channel doing challenges like him.
The math for how much gas you need to afford constant ghost production from 3 racks: This is without including the supplydepos and mineral cost. This is just an estimate for the gas if the situation allows for constant production. Gas required per Barracks One Ghost costs 125 gas. In one minute, a Barracks produces roughly 2 Ghosts (since 60 seconds ÷ 29 seconds ≈ 2). So, the gas requirement for one Barracks is: 2 Ghosts × 125 gas = 250 gas per minute per Barracks. 2 ghosts because we're calculating how much gas needed per barracks for a constant production. How many for 3 barracks: 250 gas × 3 Barracks = 750 gas per minute. A fully saturated geyser produces 114 gas per minute Since we need 250 gas per minute to produce ghosts constantly from 1 barracks and now that we know we need 750 gas per minute for 3 barracks, here is the amount of geysers needed to achieve these numbers: 750 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser ≈ 6.58 geysers. So 7 gas for 3 barracks if all you're doing is producing ghosts. You probably should get 2 more gases if you want upgrades. EDIT: I did a version where you take into consideration supply and worker efficiency + barracks count: For 1 Ghost: Minerals = 150 Gas = 125 For 4 Ghosts: Minerals for Ghosts = 4 × 150 = 600 minerals Minerals for Supply Depot = 100 minerals (1 Depot for 4 Ghosts) Total mineral cost for 4 Ghosts = 600 + 100 = 700 minerals Gas cost for 4 Ghosts = 4 × 125 = 500 gas Each Barracks with a Tech Lab can make 1 Ghost every 29 seconds. In 1 minute, you can make about 2 Ghosts per Barracks. Gas needed per Barracks per minute = 2 × 125 = 250 gas. Minerals needed per Barracks per minute = 2 × 150 = 300 minerals. Each geyser with 3 SCVs gives 114 gas per minute. For gas per Barracks: 250 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser = 2.19 geysers. To fully saturate, you need 2.19 geysers × 3 SCVs = 6.57 SCVs (about 7 SCVs). For minerals, each SCV gets about 40 minerals per minute. For 1 Barracks: 300 minerals per minute needed (2 Ghosts): 300 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 7.5 SCVs. For Supply Depots: You need 100 minerals every 2 minutes for Depots. 50 minerals per minute for Depots. Total minerals per Barracks: 300 (Ghosts) + 50 (Depot) = 350 minerals per minute. For SCVs for minerals: 350 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 8.75 SCVs. For 3 Barracks: Each needs 350 minerals per minute. For 3 Barracks: 350 minerals × 3 = 1050 minerals per minute. 1050 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 26.25 SCVs for minerals. Each Barracks needs 250 gas per minute. For 3 Barracks: 250 gas × 3 = 750 gas per minute. 750 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser = 6.58 geysers (about 7 geysers). 7 geysers × 3 SCVs = 21 SCVs for gas. For 5 Barracks: Each needs 350 minerals per minute. For 5 Barracks: 350 minerals × 5 = 1750 minerals per minute. 1750 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 43.75 SCVs for minerals. Each Barracks needs 250 gas per minute. For 5 Barracks: 250 gas × 5 = 1250 gas per minute. 1250 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser = 10.96 geysers (about 11 geysers). 11 geysers × 3 SCVs = 33 SCVs for gas. For 5 Barracks Ghost production: 44 SCVs on minerals. 33 SCVs on gas. Total SCVs = 44 + 33 = 77 SCVs. Conclusion: You need 11 geysers to produce ghosts from 5 barracks nonstop and 43.75 SCVS for minerals that will provide the minerals needed for the ghosts on top of the other SCVS you will have for the other stuff you're making. But just for the ghosts and the depos, this is the workforce required.

Gas required per Barracks
One Ghost costs 125 gas.
In one minute, a Barracks produces roughly 2 Ghosts (since 60 seconds ÷ 29 seconds ≈ 2).
So, the gas requirement for one Barracks is:
2 Ghosts × 125 gas = 250 gas per minute per Barracks. 2 ghosts because we're calculating how much gas needed per barracks for a constant production.
How many for 3 barracks:
250 gas × 3 Barracks = 750 gas per minute.
A fully saturated geyser produces 114 gas per minute
Since we need 250 gas per minute to produce ghosts constantly from 1 barracks and now that we know we need 750 gas per minute for 3 barracks, here is the amount of geysers needed to achieve these numbers:
750 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser ≈ 6.58 geysers. So 7 gas for 3 barracks if all you're doing is producing ghosts. You probably should get 2 more gases if you want upgrades.
EDIT: I did a version where you take into consideration supply and worker efficiency + barracks count:
For 1 Ghost:
Minerals = 150
Gas = 125
For 4 Ghosts:
Minerals for Ghosts = 4 × 150 = 600 minerals
Minerals for Supply Depot = 100 minerals (1 Depot for 4 Ghosts)
Total mineral cost for 4 Ghosts = 600 + 100 = 700 minerals
Gas cost for 4 Ghosts = 4 × 125 = 500 gas
Each Barracks with a Tech Lab can make 1 Ghost every 29 seconds.

Total minerals per Barracks: 300 (Ghosts) + 50 (Depot) = 350 minerals per minute.
For SCVs for minerals: 350 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 8.75 SCVs.
For 3 Barracks: Each needs 350 minerals per minute. For 3 Barracks: 350 minerals × 3 = 1050 minerals per minute. 1050 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 26.25 SCVs for minerals.
Each Barracks needs 250 gas per minute. For 3 Barracks: 250 gas × 3 = 750 gas per minute. 750 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser = 6.58 geysers (about 7 geysers). 7 geysers × 3 SCVs = 21 SCVs for gas.
For 5 Barracks: Each needs 350 minerals per minute. For 5 Barracks: 350 minerals × 5 = 1750 minerals per minute. 1750 minerals ÷ 40 minerals per SCV = 43.75 SCVs for minerals.
Each Barracks needs 250 gas per minute. For 5 Barracks: 250 gas × 5 = 1250 gas per minute. 1250 gas ÷ 114 gas per geyser = 10.96 geysers (about 11 geysers). 11 geysers × 3 SCVs = 33 SCVs for gas.
For 5 Barracks Ghost production: 44 SCVs on minerals. 33 SCVs on gas. Total SCVs = 44 + 33 = 77 SCVs.
