I love the way Kirk Ferentz teams play with discipline !! There are no late hits, taunting or trash talking. Those create needless penalties. The Hawks play extremely hard and physical but with respect for the game and the opponent. That's something to be very proud of !!
I was a student at Iowa when Reggie Roby was at UI. Many of us used to make sure we got there early to watch him during pregame warmups! Plus I'm a life long Dolphin fan. RIP

Yes, it's all fun, another Iowa win by the defense. But in the back of every fan's mind, they know if Iowa gets to the Big Ten Championship against Ohio State or Michigan or Penn State, their 129th ranked offense will catch up with them and it will be another embarrassment on the national stage. It's not so much that Iowa wins ugly, it's knowing the team has so much wasted potential with such a lousy offense. If they could field even an average offense, they might actually have a chance at beating the big teams in the big games. But Kirk refuses to change so Iowa is locked into the ranks of the mediocre.
