Dusty Hill Life Story (1949 - 2021) Dusty Hill ZZTop Bass Player The sudden death in July 2021 of ZZ Top bass player, singer, songwriter and keyboard player Dusty Hill was especially devastating given the man’s robust, yet understated, presence on the rock star A-list over such a long period of time. With his long, flowing beard, black shades and inevitable cowboy hats, Hill and his mirror-image bandmate, guitarist Billy Gibbons, along with drummer Frank Beard, created a sound, an image and a mythology that defined ZZ Top, the self-described little ol’ band from Texas, and turned them into one of the wonders of the rock’n’roll world. Like the heads carved out of stone on Mount Rushmore, these larger-than-life Methuselahs seemed destined to last forever. Indeed the band were touring right up to the day Hill died in his sleep at home in Houston, having gone to the city to seek treatment for an injury to his hip, with the band’s guitar tech Elwood Francis taking his place on stage. Almost immediately, Gibbons stated the band’s intentions to play out the remaining shows on the tour. From humble beginnings in 1969 in Houston, ZZ Top initially toured their way to greatness in America and, by the time they mounted their Worldwide Texas Tour of 1976, had become one of the biggest stadium acts in the land. 💥 History and Nostalgia Channel: (20th Century History Documentaries)💥 Welcome to the Remember This UA-cam History and Nostalgia Channel where we discuss thought provoking subject matter from recent the recent past to modern day... get ready for 20th Century History Documentaries content on all things from conspiracy theories to real events and how they shaped our lives. 💯% GOD BLESS THE REAL DEAL SOUTHERN ROCK THE 1ST BAND I EVER SAW FANTASTIC I WAS 16 YEARS OLD THE GOOD OLD DAY'S SAW THEM 2 TIMES BAD ASS U.S.A.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😊
I was lucky enough to see Dusty and the boys 7 times. Once on our birthday with my twin brother. Damn good memory for me. 63 now and don't get to go to many shows anymore but I'll never forget those green lasers and Waitin for bus and Jesus just left Chicago that night with my brother. RIP MAN you've given me alot of enjoyment for a long time.
I saw ZZ in the early 80s and I will never forget the visual of Dusty and Billy walking toward each other on treadmills up above the drumkit. It was surreal, and one of the most memorable moments of all the rock concerts I have attended over the years. Dusty hasn't left us, he is still hanging out at that invisible 7-eleven. RIP
A while back I was riding my motorcycle to Guilford, NH to see ZZ TOP that night. As I was stuck in traffic going into Concord I saw a group of bikes ahead in the next lane. My lane moved up a few car lengths and I noticed a nice custom chopper with a Texas plate that read, "ZZTOP." As I moved along side I recognized Dusty on the bike. I gave him a thumbs up and said I'll see you tonight. He returned a nod and a great big smile. It was a memorable moment and the show was too.
Ya he always had a big smile an liked to put one on u lived nextdoor to him n sunny San Leon had a hell of a TexasSize good times be n his naber had some good looking friends must been his wifes lolR. I. P buddy✌️😢
I saw them in 1973 in Virginia Beach at an outdoor concert in the hot summertime. They played during the hottest time of the day. Dusty Hill actually fainted on stage during the middle of a song. The other 2 just kept on playing while a roadie came out and revived Dusty with a cold swig of something. He then regained his footing, listened to find his place in the song and jumped right back in!!! Incredible. Will never forget that. Tough hombres!!
I've loved them since Deguello. that whole summer we just listened to z z top and there was a little bit of Texas in all of us. Rest in peace buddy and thanks guys for the great times.
Dusty is one of the reasons why I started playing bass guitar and guitar my favorite zz top songs la grange.. manic macanic.. brown sugar... shape dressed man velcro fly... tube snake boogie..
I came home from Nam in late 1969 found a job and one day I went to a club my band played in before I was drafted. A play bill was on a post with the band ZZTOP playing in Willie Purple’s. This was early’70s. They looked like little boys and Gibbons was working on his punk band moves. Their first album hadn’t came out yet. I paid $1.50 at the door to see them. Wonderful times!
That man was much more than a bass player , he was a 1/3 pivotal player and founding member of one of the greatest bands of the 20th century R.I.P Dusty
Dusty Hill's life story is a testament to his immense talent and dedication as the bass player for ZZ Top. His contribution to the band's iconic sound will forever be cherished.
I saw ZZ Top 3 times. The first was in 1980. They exceeded my expectations. Again in 1984. The last time was in 2014. The inaugural show of the Jeff Beck/ZZ Top pairing in Missoula, Montana. That 30 year span between the last two shows, for me a record of time having passed between seeing a band that still had the original members, will never be beaten. Just think of how many bands came and went during that 30 years. All the while, those same 3 gentlemen were out there showing the world how it's done. R.I.P, Dusty. Thanks for the memories.
I saw that show in 2014 when they came to Corpus Christi, of course Jeff Beck was mind-blowing, but I was quite disappointed with ZZ Top playing to backing tracks!
I’m 62 and my first concert was the World Wide Texas Tour in 76 at Anaheim Stadium. Blue Oyster Cult, Johnny and Edgar Winter (Frankenstein!) and Point Blank opened. Still a strong memory, and who knew it would become a legendary tour. BOC- Cities on Flame, Don’t Fear the Reaper, and Johnny and Edgar were awesome. Even Point Blank was a pretty killer blues rock band, too! But ZZTop was and is always #1. Bless Dusty’s soul…
Just before Dusty joined ZZ Top the band was called The Moving Sidewalks. In 1969 I saw them perform in downtown Houston Texas @ Allen’s Landing Love Street Light Circus. The music was good & loud & the venue was psychedelic as hell. Shortly afterwards Billy, Dusty, & Frank became ZZ Top & then as we all know, they rocked our socks off baby.
I was so sad when I heard that dusty died. From Dallas Texas to Hollywood and beyond, he played and sang so damn good! The GOAT the best and forever in my ears. ❤️👍🔥
"God bless the simple man!". I found myself in the person of the one man watching a ZZ live show. In fact they are truly artists who love what they do and that's why they will be as long as this world will be and after it. I was so lucky to discover ZZ TOP and find myself in their music, and more lucky to find some "simple artists" who make this great music. I love early-early mornings riding my car to fishing, night driving on lonely roads winh sounds of Got me under pressure and Planet of women. And I am sure that ZZ's music has created a positive curent in the people of this world. I just like to belive that and I tested it. Usualy those who like ZZTOP are just simple man, positive people, a get up-keep walking-no matter what style, love and respect for womans. "Jesus just left Chicago" " God bless the simple man!" Rest in peace Dusty! Dumnezeu sa te odihneasca Dusty! I salut you all from Romania!
Saw them open for Alice Cooper at New Haven Coliseum in Dec. 1973.. Favorite song Precious and Grace..... It's funny that I just read that ZZ Top canceled that show because of a snow storm but I was there and it was them! They opened with Thunderbird.
The first concert I ever went to was ZZ Top and Kiss in 1974. I was trippin on Mr Natural and the experience embedded a love of live rock performances that has endured to this day. I saw them two more times after that and they never disappointed. They are superb showmen. I still listen to them all the time.
As a founding member of ZZ Top, Dusty Hill played an integral role in shaping the band's success over the decades. The documentary pays tribute to his contributions and sheds light on the band's rise to fame.
What a shock that was they are such a great band when they bought their show to Australia in the 80s my dad unloaded their 33 Ford hotrod off the plane and got pictures of it. I was stoked I love ZZTOP. RIP Dusty Hill.
Dusty Hill's bass playing skills were unparalleled, and his distinctive style became the backbone of ZZ Top's blues-rock sound. The documentary sheds light on his musical influences and how he developed his unique playing technique.
One of the most touching aspects of Dusty Hill's life story is his unwavering commitment to the band and his bandmates. The documentary showcases the deep bond he shared with Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard, highlighting their enduring friendship and musical collaboration.
In the 80's ZZ Top opened for The Stones at the Cotten Bowl in Dallas. The Stones had a big pink stage with runners that went out to the 30 yard line . Just before ZZ Top came on stage some Roadies came out and unrolled a black carpet out in front of the drum kit riser. When they came on stage Billy Gibbons said "We're happy to open for the Stones today, but I'll be damned if were gunna play on a pink stage in Dallas" They played a great show!
Dusty Hill's dedication to his craft was truly remarkable. The documentary delves into his relentless work ethic and the countless hours he spent perfecting his bass playing, showcasing his passion and commitment to music.
Dusty Hill's untimely passing in 2021 left a void in the music world, but his legacy as a talented musician and a beloved member of ZZ Top will live on. The documentary serves as a fitting tribute to his life and the indelible mark he left on the industry.
I’m a native Texan born and raised in SE Houston and ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, Freddie King and numerous other blues and blues rock bands were inspirational. And also you several big band sounds of bands in the city that were bad ass! Unfortunately other than ZZ Top not much of that exists anymore. There is an abundance of live music but it’s not what it use to be. I live 1.5 hour’s south of Houston and do not even go there anymore.
I’ve been fallowing ZZ Top since the early 70’S. My favorite album is Tejas. The hole album is great. The last song asleep in the desert is awesome. While in college living in Klamath Falls, Oregon I’d spend many a night listening the Tejas at night my mind immersed in the album looking south out over town towards the Oregon / California border the moon shining bright on a clear night the stars shining dreaming I was out in the desert of the southwest on the Mexican border. In the early 90’s when they where on tour they would stop in Portland, Oregon usually during the week of thanksgiving. I’d take that week off for vacation and hangout at my favorite Italian restaurant “ The Monte Carlo “ during the day then go see ZZ Top at night. One year the concert sold out so fast they booked another concert the next night and maybe a third, I’m not sure. Best week of vacation I ever had . The Monte Carlo restaurant by day and ZZ Top concerts at night👍👍👍. It just didn’t get better then that.
@@HistoryandNostalgiaChannel that was a great time . In my beginning days working for I’d say a corporation I’d only got 1 week of vacation a year so I’d take 3 days off over thanksgiving the rest was paid holidays so it turned into 9 days off. The Monte Carlo was a old school Italian restaurant that on the inside looked like you just stepped into a s scene out of the Sopranos. The food was awesome and I knew all the staff that worked there. I’d go in for their luncheon buffet drink endless cups of coffee and read the daily newspaper all afternoon then off to see ZZ Top at night. It was great, it just didn’t get any better then that.
I saw them perform in a tobacco warehouse in Bowling Green Kentucky in 1973. I didn't know who they were but they blew me away. I was an instant ZZ Top fan.
I worked for Rocky Hill and Knew Dusty as a friend for many years in Houston my first gig with Rocky ar BB King>s Bar in Memphis TN, Bolly and Dusty showed up for the Gig that was history.
I worked a few duo gigs with Dusty before 'the Top' He carried most of the vocals while i added some harmony. He was fun to work with and a very musical guy. So was Rocky, his brother. If you couldn't get along with Dusty, then there was something terribly wrong with you.
My mum introduced me to ZZ Top in the early 80s. Before Eliminator. I've been a huge fan ever since. Im the old guy (54) that cruises around in the summer with my windows down blaring ZZ. I have been extremely fortunate enough to see them live in concert 12 times. Their stage shows, for the most time, were brilliant. There was a couple that were so-so. But the music made up for the poor stage planning. My favorite tour was Recycler. Real good mix of all their music up to that point. I can't say I have one favorite song. It would be near impossible to just pick one. The tune I really can't stand, "Cheap Sunglasses" And its really just because the radio stations played it to death. Every bar we went to even in the late 80s played it. Yes, I was 20 in 1989, so I was old enough to drink. I'm Canadian. I actually haven't listened to that song in a very, very long time. Maybe if I did, it may change my mind. With Dusty being gone, I don't think I will go to another one of their concerts. Elwood may have the musical talent, but he's not Dusty. R.I.P brother. You will forever be missed. You are and always be a legendary Bass player. Right there with the Ox, John Entwistle, and lets not forget Lemmy from Motorhead.
I once met him at an after show party and he was just the most easy going guy you could ever meet, i told him that i heard that i heard that ZZ Top stood for Zig Zag and Tops rolling papers and he just laughed and said he never heard that one so i told him well now you know the truth and we both just laughed like hell.
The documentary video showcasing Dusty Hill's journey from his early days to becoming a rock legend is a must-watch for any ZZ Top fan. It beautifully captures his musical genius and the impact he had on the industry.
I will always be a ZZ Top fan. A lot of my guitar style I got from Billy Gibbons . ZZ Top , to me, will always be Billy ,Dusty , & Frank . I have nothing against the new version of ZZ Top with Elwood . I will just miss Dusty a lot !
The one time I was able to see ZZ Top was in the Summit in Houston in the 90s - And the Houston Rockets BB team were in the finals to win their first championship and had won the night before the ZZ Top concert. This meant the Rockets were coming home to play and the Summit needed to be reconfigured for BB! ZZ played most of their hits but were in a hurry to finish the concert so that the construction team could move in! Was a bummer but I still enjoyed the concert but I felt a little cheated by the situation! Love the band! RIP Dusty and thanks for the great music! ❤
I saw ZZ 3 times. The first being in my Jr. High auditorium in Amarillo Texas in 1971. Reo Grand Mud was being released in three days. They were incredibly. They played everything from the first album and Mud. And my favorite song was Down to Mexico.
I can claim to have seen live "everybody" from Aerosmith to ZZ Top with Kiss in between. From 1979 (Judas P) to 2007 (Scorpions!) most every concert was the greatest day/afternoon/night of my life. "I thank you" all.
Throughout his career, Dusty Hill remained a humble and down-to-earth individual despite achieving immense fame. The documentary provides insight into his personality and the values that guided him throughout his life.
Its called tush with a U. Not a A. Dusty is aways on our hearts. Those folks seemed to come out with a album every 10yrs. Then 83 came around.... they proved that they could make a song about anything, even TV dinners! Love those guys
I’ve been addicted to Jesus Just Left Chicago for months. I wanna come up with a acoustic arrangement cause their electric arrangement is impossible to compete with. Dusty is in the top 10 all time bassist IMO
I was fortunate to see them 3 times. In fact, they are the only band I've seen in 2 venues back to back. IIRC it was their Eliminator tour where they simulated the dashboard of the Eliminator on the stage. What an incredible band!
Dusty Hill's life wasn't without its share of challenges and setbacks. The documentary explores the highs and lows he experienced throughout his career, offering an intimate glimpse into the realities of the rock and roll lifestyle.
7:50 - The album Fandango second side was recorded live at The Warehouse in New Orleans. I was at this show and I had no idea at the time that it was in fact recorded there until I saw it written on the liner notes of the album. I also saw them there on their first tour to their fourth tour.
@@HistoryandNostalgiaChannel Back in those days, everyone had long hair. When I saw ZZ Top the first time, Billy was wearing a cowboy hat and the whole time I was expecting him to take his hat off and all of his long hair would fall out! He did take his hat off towards the end of the show, but he was clean cut !!!
@@stevepetty9194 You are right, my bad! nevertheless, I was there !!! I'm dyslexic some times! I saw them 4 consecutive tours at the Warehouse, beginning with their first tour. Louisiana is just a hop, skip and a jump from Texas !!!
RIP Dusty ZZ top was an iconic band! You know how they came up with the name ZZ top Well has Billy described it well zz was for zz Hill and top was for b.b. King because b.b. King was that the top doing that particular error in that year of 69 I heard Billy say that in an interview my favorite album by them we'll always be Trey hombres beer drinkers & hell raisers! Baby don't you want to come with me! and sheik! Most definitely my favorite tracks on that album 🤘👍🎸💯
I read recently that Paul McCartney was asked what it was like being in the greatest rock and roll band in the world. He replied "I don't remember ever being in ZZ Top".
I went seen them b Birmingham I was 15 it was 3nd album three hombres I’ll never forget when Gibbons come out do his solo said lets see if I can make this thing talk to y’all he jump turned back to y’all jumped up turned back to us top hat back and fourth dancer moves and tore that guitar up over kick never forget anything like that first concert he’ll yes
Well here’s a better one. I got to play the drum kit @6:16 . Mind you I’m not a drummer. And was all over the place , Frank was rolling on the floor laughing his ass off. He finally got up , and came over and said “Lou stick to guitar man you’ll never make it as a drummer ..” we all had a good laugh over it. Then we all went back to work. Them practicing ,and me prepping the intelligent light show with the head lighting engineer. Good times. But I have to say Frank was right. RIP Dusty I know for a fact your jamming with the angels ..😢 🤠🎸🎶✌️
IMHO Dusty should not have scorned Janis Joplin for moving away from Texas. Her home town of Port Arthur was mean & cruel to her, and she had many bad memories of it. I would have moved too.
Being different in a small community like Port Arthur is different than in a community like Dallas (where Dusty grew up) even today. Very different communities. I have always admired Dusty's commitment to Texas so I can see where he might have been coming from.
Well informative, I had no idea they went back so far. Eliminator was the first time I became aware of the band, it was the 80s so we weren't aware of much, anyway thank you for hours of future listening from the past. Albums first footage later. Very good video.
I like the reacord Fandango, it was my first record i buy,. I buy 3 that day Fandango and Aerosmith On the rocks And Black sabbath Sabbath bloody6 sabbath. I like ZZ top fandango the most. I Meet them in Stockholm. 1983 i think, and i talk to them. Outside the hotel. I ask them, how lonhtgey grown the beard. They told me 7years i think. They where nice and friendly. I took. Some pictures. Great people. I love the sound.. Rick in Sweden Stockholm. Im 61 to day . Soon i will meet him in heaven. And have a beer Yeah

It's funny that I just read that ZZ Top canceled that show because of a snow storm but I was there
and it was them! They opened with Thunderbird.
Epic band. RIP Dusty Hill
The first concert I ever went to was ZZ Top and Kiss in 1974. I was trippin on Mr Natural and the experience embedded a love of live rock performances that has endured to this day. I saw them two more times after that and they never disappointed. They are superb showmen. I still listen to them all the time.
RIP Dusty Hill
I met these guy at Disneyland in 76 when I was 11 and they treated me like an adult, really nice guys. They were beardless.

RIP Dusty Hill
My aunt is a HUGE ZZ Top fan. Some of my favorite childhood memories where running around in her hot rod thunderbird with ZZ TOP cranked to 11.

RIP Dusty Hill
The eliminator album was my first tape I purchased, I listened to it all the time, then I started buying earlier ZZ Top tapes
Excellent album! RIP Dusty Hill
RIP Dusty Hill
Don't forget stevie ray Vaughn use to play at Fitzgerald's in the heights. You can take the boy out of Texas but you can't get Texas out of the boy🤘
Had the good fortune of seeing them live twice at the COW Palace in San Francisco. Mind blowing shows - never saw better. RIP Dusty.
RIP Dusty Hill
Great memories... RIP Dusty Hill
RIP Dusty Hill
I worked for Rocky Hill and Knew Dusty as a friend for many years in Houston my first gig with Rocky ar BB King>s Bar in Memphis TN, Bolly and Dusty showed up for the Gig that was history.
RIP Dusty Hill
One of the best bands I ever seen live it was in 86
Must have been amazing! RIP Dusty Hill
I worked a few duo gigs with Dusty before 'the Top' He carried most of the vocals while i added some harmony. He was fun to work with and a very musical guy. So was Rocky, his brother. If you couldn't get along with Dusty, then there was something terribly wrong with you.
RIP Dusty Hill
Well said Mike. RIP Dusty Hill
Beautiful story and photographs.
Glad you think so! RIP Dusty Hill
I once met him at an after show party and he was just the most easy going guy you could ever meet, i told him that i heard that i heard that ZZ Top stood for Zig Zag and Tops rolling papers and he just laughed and said he never heard that one so i told him well now you know the truth and we both just laughed like hell.
Wow! Great comment. RIP Dusty Hill
The documentary video showcasing Dusty Hill's journey from his early days to becoming a rock legend is a must-watch for any ZZ Top fan. It beautifully captures his musical genius and the impact he had on the industry.

RIP Dusty Hill
I will always be a ZZ Top fan. A lot of my guitar style I got from Billy Gibbons . ZZ Top , to me, will always be Billy ,Dusty , & Frank . I have nothing against the new version of ZZ Top with Elwood . I will just miss Dusty a lot !
RIP Dusty Hill
The one time I was able to see ZZ Top was in the Summit in Houston in the 90s - And the Houston Rockets BB team were in the finals to win their first championship and had won the night before the ZZ Top concert. This meant the Rockets were coming home to play and the Summit needed to be reconfigured for BB! ZZ played most of their hits but were in a hurry to finish the concert so that the construction team could move in! Was a bummer but I still enjoyed the concert but I felt a little cheated by the situation! Love the band! RIP Dusty and thanks for the great music! ❤
RIP Dusty Hill
I loved all the music ❤
RIP Dusty Hill
I saw ZZ 3 times. The first being in my Jr. High auditorium in Amarillo Texas in 1971. Reo Grand Mud was being released in three days. They were incredibly. They played everything from the first album and Mud. And my favorite song was Down to Mexico.
Epic band. What sound they created. RIP Dusty Hill
My Head's In Mississippi all day long!!! And that is MISTER Gibbons to us mere mortals.
RIP Dusty Hill
Do yourself a favor and purchase ZZ Top’s First Album, Rio Grande Mud, Tres Hombres and Deguello .
Solid recommendations Randy! RIP Dusty Hill
"Brown Sugar" from the first one
His brother Rocky was also very talented. Check out his music. Rocky Hill. RIP Dusty!
Yes Rocky was very talented as well. RIP Dusty Hill
Great musicians,,, all about the music, not the gossipy stuff. CLASS.
RIP Dusty Hill
My favorite three man band
RIP Dusty Hill
Their album 'Mescalero' got me thru some tough times.
Good album indeed. RIP Dusty Hill
I can claim to have seen live "everybody" from Aerosmith to ZZ Top with Kiss in between. From 1979 (Judas P) to 2007 (Scorpions!) most every concert was the greatest day/afternoon/night of my life. "I thank you" all.
RIP Dusty Hill
Throughout his career, Dusty Hill remained a humble and down-to-earth individual despite achieving immense fame. The documentary provides insight into his personality and the values that guided him throughout his life.
RIP Dusty Hill
What documentary please tell me.
Its called tush with a U. Not a A.
Dusty is aways on our hearts.
Those folks seemed to come out with a album every 10yrs. Then 83 came around.... they proved that they could make a song about anything, even TV dinners! Love those guys
RIP Dusty Hill
Loaded from the Rhythmeen album is my favorite Dusty Hill tune.
RIP Dusty Hill
I’ve been addicted to Jesus Just Left Chicago for months. I wanna come up with a acoustic arrangement cause their electric arrangement is impossible to compete with.
Dusty is in the top 10 all time bassist IMO
RIP Dusty Hill
My favorite Dusty song is party on the patio witch showcases his bass and vocals
Epic track! RIP Dusty Hill
Manic Mechanic is still one of my favorites.
RIP Dusty Hill
My favorite group since 1973. Tres Hombres was awesome and my favorite song were Tube Snake Boogie and TV Dinners
RIP Dusty Hill
I was fortunate to see them 3 times. In fact, they are the only band I've seen in 2 venues back to back. IIRC it was their Eliminator tour where they simulated the dashboard of the Eliminator on the stage. What an incredible band!
RIP Dusty Hill
One of my favs was a song called “fool for your stockings”
RIP Dusty Hill
Dusty Hill's life wasn't without its share of challenges and setbacks. The documentary explores the highs and lows he experienced throughout his career, offering an intimate glimpse into the realities of the rock and roll lifestyle.

RIP Dusty Hill
LA Grange and Tush represent my favorite era of ZZ Top
Two absolute classic tunes. RIP Dusty Hill
I first saw them in 72 with Freddie King In OKC, OK. Quite different from where they are now
RIP Dusty Hill
7:50 - The album Fandango second side was recorded live at The Warehouse in New Orleans. I was at this show and I had no idea at the time that it was in fact recorded there until I saw it written on the liner notes of the album. I also saw them there on their first tour to their fourth tour.
Awesome comment James! Luck you being there. RIP Dusty Hill
The album with the one live side which was indeed recorded at the old New Orleans warehouse was actually the Fandango album and not Tres Hombres.
Yes, they were an iconic band. RIP Dusty Hill

Dusty and Frank make up one of the longest lasting rhythm pair. Can only think of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie above them in years. Anyone?
RIP Dusty Hill
Great act.
RIP Dusty Hill
Well here’s a better one.
I got to play the drum kit @6:16 . Mind you I’m not a drummer. And was all over the place , Frank was rolling on the floor laughing his ass off. He finally got up , and came over and said “Lou stick to guitar man you’ll never make it as a drummer ..” we all had a good laugh over it. Then we all went back to work. Them practicing ,and me prepping the intelligent light show with the head lighting engineer. Good times. But I have to say Frank was right.
RIP Dusty I know for a fact your jamming with the angels ..😢
🤠🎸🎶✌️
RIP Dusty Hill
❤ RIP Dusty ❤
RIP Dusty Hill
IMHO Dusty should not have scorned Janis Joplin for moving away from Texas. Her home town of Port Arthur was mean & cruel to her, and she had many bad memories of it. I would have moved too.
Yes, may have been a bit harsh on Janis to be honest. RIP Dusty and Janis
We all make mistakes
Being different in a small community like Port Arthur is different than in a community like Dallas (where Dusty grew up) even today. Very different communities. I have always admired Dusty's commitment to Texas so I can see where he might have been coming from.
Yeah, but she left the old dirty town and went to the University of Texas. Yeah she should've stayed.
All L.A brought is the same as today. Dirt, drugs, and despair.
Well informative, I had no idea they went back so far. Eliminator was the first time I became aware of the band, it was the 80s so we weren't aware of much, anyway thank you for hours of future listening from the past. Albums first footage later. Very good video.
Thank you. Really appreciate it! RIP Dusty Hill
RIP and God speed Dusty
RIP Dusty Hill
R,I.P. Dusty
RIP Dusty Hill
Excellent Homage to an Icon of the Music Business . ZZ-Top are the all-time " No Change in Line-up " Champions . Not the Stones .
Thanks John. Really appreciate it. RIP Dusty Hill
LA Grange has always been my absolute favorite.
