  • "Water or drain plug connector" if you need to buy a replacement on Amazon or at a hardware store.
    Every pool we've bought came with the part needed to use a hose to drain the pool, hopefully you didn't throw it away lol. I always hoard extra or replaced parts just in case.
    Also, you should not empty pool water down your driveway into the gutter or curb. It should be drained into the sewer clean out pipe located in your yard.
    If you don't want to let that precious water go to waste you can recycle it to your own yard by making sure you have let all the chlorine burn out of it and all levels have returned to neutral or else you will kill your grass.
    Thank you for watching, please checkout my other pool videos found in the pool time Playlist for other cool hacks and information.
    Next I'll show how to get the last few inches of water out of the pool!

    • @LuckSpinner
      @LuckSpinner  Рік тому

      We love the Intex 28001E Auto Pool Cleaner, it's $65 on Amazon rn. But, our pump is upgraded to the Intex 2800. This vacuum needs a pump flow rate between 1600-3500GPH. I think the pump that comes with the pool can do that but I'd make sure first. Also I did a cheesy review of it if you go to our Playlist tab, "Pool Time" its the 9th video down. Hope this helps, take care! =)

    What about the rest that’s below that plug

    • @LuckSpinner
      @LuckSpinner  2 місяці тому

      @CookienCupcake some people use a shop/wet vac or sump pump. I'm cheap and used a flat square sand pail but have seen people use big dust pans. I've also used towels as they soak up tons of water then rung them out or hung them on the ladder to get that last bit. If you have the patience you can look up how to siphon with a garden hose but it can be tricky to get it started. Good luck! 😁

    • @LuckSpinner

      It's a standard size hose but it is heavy duty (we have high pressure). If you search "pool/water drain connector plug" on Amazon or ask at a hardware store you can find a different adapter. Just measure your ID and OD first to be sure it'll match up. Hope that helps, good luck!

      @@vforviblz
      I was trying to find the video I watched, but couldn't.
      But there are many good videos on UA-cam on how to siphon the water out.
      As best as I could recount it: Connect your hose as normal to your outside wall spigot. Put the output end of the hose, into your pool. Make sure to put the hose at the lowest level of the pool, where you have the most water accumulated. Hold the hose down with something without obstructing the hose water flow. Then turn on your hose and let water start flowing into the pool....... I know it's counter-intuitive. It's the opposite of what you want, but you must do this first to get the siphoning to work......
      Once you see water flowing into your pool, unscrew/disconnect your hose from the wall spigot WITHOUT turning the water off first.
      Lay the hose, the end you just disconnected from the spigot, lay it on the grass. You will see water starting to flow out of the hose. This is water from your pool, draining out. Try not to disturb the hose until the water is completely out of the pool. Mine took about 2 hours.....and I only have a 12ft pool.
      Hope it works.

      @vforviblz I have a "Pool time" Playlist that should have the free hose siphon method vid but I have done all kinds of weird stuff to empty it lol. It's too heavy to flip.. tried that. I used a square sand pail at one point. Saw a guy use a heavy duty dustpan, brilliant! Also towels soak up a ton of water on the very last bit just hang or ring them out. Best of luck, it's such a pain =)

  • @Chrxs_iso
    @Chrxs_iso Рік тому +1

    The only problem is that it dosen't empty the whole pool out, it leaves about 5 inchs of pool water leftover. That why i just siphon the water with the water hose using the faucet.

    • @LuckSpinner
      @LuckSpinner  Рік тому

      Yep, that's a super fun process. Or a shop vac wet/dry vac can get it. Or a cheap sump pump but we also do the hose siphon way then use a heavy duty flat dust pan or sand pail on that very bottom half inch. Cheers, thank you! =)

    • @Chrxs_iso
      @Chrxs_iso Рік тому

      Its pretty easy to siphon u just put the hose in the pool turn the water on and then take the hose off the faucet once the water feels up the hose.

      Weird? Does the valve open though once screwed on and water comes out before attaching the hose? Could there be a blockage inside the hose, like hopefully not a snake or critter or something? =)

      @@LuckSpinner yeah the water is pouring out and everything looks great. Until I hook the hose up lol. Then nothing. I've checked everything 100 times to make sure. I keep thinking maybe it just needs some time to travel through the hose, but I've been waiting all day. Does it usually take awhile to start flowing thru the hose?

    • @LuckSpinner
      @LuckSpinner  Рік тому

      @SarahLiz8411 no you should see the water very soon after, that is so strange. Only thing I can imagine is the sizing? There was one person in the comments that said their adaptor didn't fit their hose so they got a new one from the hardware store (drain valve, not hose). Could you try a neighbors hose? W/out having to buy anything maybe? I think they are called pool/water drain valve officially. Hope you are able the get it working, that's gotta be annoying, it can take a couple days to drain one of these.
