- I've found the easiest way to drain your above ground pool and All you will need is a long water holes and a water source. I hope it works for you.👍🏽

I am sooooo grateful for you showing this video. My pool had very green water. There was no way I was getting in to unplug it at the bottom. Your video saved me. My pool is in the process now of draining.😁

Note for everyone: make sure the hose in the pool is at the bottom of the pool, and that the drain-end of the hose end is LOWER than the pool-end of the hose.

I just now did this and at first it didn’t work. The third time I disconnected it I quickly ran with the hose to a lower point than my pool. I waited 30 minutes and it’s still draining. Thanks so much!

This method works like a charm. Didn't wanna flood others yard, so I dragged the hose inside and let it out in my walk in shower. Floor got wet a bit but all good.

If you own an above ground pool or any vinyl liner pool never drain it at the close of the season. Over time the vinyl becomes brittle and rigid. Filling an older pool can cause it to fail at the seams. I keep mine over the winter about one third full. It keeps the liner stretched and pliable. Had my Intex pool for 16 years and it’s still going strong.
Great logic on filling the hose with the tap first. I had no clue how I was going to suck water through a 200 ft hose without a large pump. Thanks!

No bs this was the easiest way I could find, I saw another way with a hose, something about holding both ends up but that didn’t work and this was way easier, much appreciated

Can't believe I'm saying this but it worked. Brilliant trick to use vacuum pressure to relieve it. Also You can add as many hoses as you can afford. I did two hoses and i got about 2 gallons a minute coming out of the relief side

Look, I've been worried on how I was going to get these tadpoles out of my pool. I didn't want to kill them and just dump them out and I couldn't catch them all with the net.....but this will help big time where I can put them into our fishtank til they're mature enough to go on their own. I'm leaving my pool up this year, but needed to take out some of the water out. Unfortunately the friends who helped my pool up, didn't realize that the valve to let the water out was underneath the pool instead of on the side which meant I couldn't use that option to drain some of the water out anymore. However your editorial saved the day with getting just enough water out so I could, clean it, winterize it with chemicals, and cover it so it's ready for next year! Lifesaver man. I recently hired people to set up mine and it's unleveled and they refuse to come back and make it right so it's my problem to fix now the dam adapter broke for the drain so this helps a lot

This is a much better and cleaner method instead of blowing into the hose and potentially catch germs. Also, for those that are not aware, the reason why water is drained from these type of pools is because for the most part, Coleman as well as Intex are disassembled at the end of the pool season because they cannot be left standing when the temperature drops below 40 degrees.

Thanks for the idea. About to try it. Our poles are rusted through but the liner and everything er else is fine. Just don't know where to get just the poles. So I am draining the pool and trying again next summer.

Great tips!! Also with these pools look around the bottom. Ours has a side valve/plug that the hose fit on. Once you connect the hose unplug it and the water will flow out. I hate cleaning these pools at the end of the season! 😂 Cleaning up a pond!

This worked a treat, now we let it drain into our outside drain, no more flooded garden! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 (currently having a bit of a heatwave, which for you guys is probably cold haha. But kids enjoying pool fun and I’m burnt to a crisp! 🥵 this is England 🤣🤣🤣)

I think you are onto a way to teach people things. Keep going. I tried it but my hose is stuck on the faucet. ugh. can't get it off. but will and will be glad to have learned this lesson.

bought a pump to drain for $30 on amazon and water drained instant.
i will try the pump with waterhoses next year and see how much it drains.
