Which is an excellent and low cost solution to have a 384x288 25hz thermal scope to spot and target.

what is t2pro better than t3pro? Heat detection distance? Aside from resolutions(better t3pro), what features speak for the t2pro?

With my T3, 2 other questions:
1. Did I tighten it too much in the rifle mount if i can't turn the focus? Is solution just to loosen the camera mount such that it can be twisted. Isn't a problem on my T2.
2. The lens cover doesn't seem to have let the retainer loop fit around the lense....anything I can do different to protect it when not in use?

How do you zero the reticule!
So , I put it on my rifle with the go pro style mounts that it came with. It sucked for stability. By the way an hour in 38 degrees Fahrenheit the camera was worthless it had about 25 seconds of lag time. So I ordered this adapter shell. Honestly thought it came with the one I want. Get the mount in and the camera holder does not have the hole in it. It has the GoPro mount studs on it where the hole is. So now I am either going to have to rig it with a grinder and a drill or send it all back. It’s going to be cold again tonight and even if I don’t rig it. I am going to see how it performs in colder weather.
Where did you buy it from? and what type of rifle and ammo was used?

Discord is a chat app. Obviously asking permission for microphone and camera because you can make video call and group sound and video chat and live streaming with it. 🤣 You can also use Discord from Chrome or firefox browser. you dont even have to download the apps so it will not steal your soul :D

If i remove the phone from the mount and put it back on evenly slightly different, there is no way it should be back at zero right? Thus why you are suggesting a standalone Jelly phone?
the phone isnt the camera, the phone is simply a screen so you can put the phone anywhere, as long as the thermal camera stays where it is the zero should be fine unless theres a software issue. i have the xh09 shipping to me right now, gonna put the phone on my helmet or chest so i can have a trailer park OICW

8:00 I don't think you understand what "holds zero" means in shooting terminology. It means after you shoot, does the point of aim shift. This could be due to the camera moving or other factors. It doesn't mean the reticle stays in the same spot on the app.
If all you're doing is lining it up behind an optic, then there wouldn't be anything needing to hold zero except your optics reticle, which you could probably line the apps reticle up with. Using it as a standalone optic is another set of issues entirely, you're right.
@@TNR-INACTIVE Not true. The mounting can shift causing the point of aim to shift during the gun's recoil. If you're using it on a BB gun, its not an issue since the recoil is low. If you're using it on a .223 or .308 gun, that's a different story. Holding zero is critical in any good optic system and it has nothing to do with app reticule alone. All you're doing with the reticule adjustment with the app is making fine adjustments of the Kentucky aim.

@@TNR-INACTIVE Let what I said sink in too. Holding zero has nothing to do with the point of aim. If the zero point shifts, its not holding zero. This applies for standalone optics or even this device. It may hold zero for a BB gun, but it sure doesn't look robust enough to hold zero with a 308 recoil. A 223 recoil is still pretty tame compared to a 308, so it might be okay on a semi-automatic 223 gun. It also makes a huge difference if you're on an AR platform with recoil springs vs a 308/30-06 bolt action hunting rifle where you are the recoil spring.

Can you swap out the lens of a T3 for a macro one for close up view of circuit boards?
No additional lenses made for thr T3. So in general no. But if you saw my full review of it you can see it can focus on very tiny PCB components like a champ :D

Basically every android phone is compatible as long as its android 6 and above, i always recommend android 11 and above for smoot compatibility. For PCB almost all of them good even this T3 Search as well. but also depends on the budget, if low budget than T2S+

T3 Pro is more industrial and for measures. The T3 is what you need for pest control. Come to my Discord and ask me i'll sort it out for you.

I got a t3 with the brand xinfrared. It seems to have an ai upscaled image. Its true native resoulution is the same as the t2. With some thecnical skill ewerybody can prove it. If you interested to debunk it, i can show you where to look. Dont expect flir quality neather.
The T3 have the true resolution of 384x288. If you connect both the T3 and T2 to a PC or Android as USB cam without upscaling you can easily tell the difference in resolution. And i have dissassembled T3 and T2 as well before and you can see the sensor dimensions also different. Go to my Discord and try to "debunk" it. lets see what the community will respond :D

Does the picatinny mount fit both the T3 Search and T3 Pro?
T3Pro no, Also would be no point because the T3Pro cannot use the Search app, only the Xinfrared so no crosshair. And the casing of the T3Pro is different from the T3 it would not fit. only T3, T2 and Ts Search

As far as you can detect heat sources yes.

In my place i dont have any 100% dark place. But if you know how thermal camera works you know Germanium only let pass the Infrared wavelength that is the thermal wavelength, so 100% dark or 100% light dont matter for thermal cameras

too bad this needs a phone to view the thermal display so the hunter will be spotted because of the phone's screen brightness shining on his/her face
There was the DL13 for long time. but discontinued. Maybe after the release of T6 comes something monocular type again :D

Restarting the app is not what it means to hold zero
It means you set up reticle for a weapon to be accurate it stays in that position so you dont have to recalibrate every time you turn on the app.
@@cleanunbox that is part of it, but mainly it is referring to whether it will stay accurate after the intense shock/vibrations of shooting the weapon it is mounted on

Yes, you set up for 1 gun and it will stay as you set. no profiles tho. only 1 at a time.
