Yeah, and they still couldn't beat Wisconsin. McFadden's slight injury may have cost them the game. And the Ohio State game? It can be torment to be an Arkansas football fan. But they still have 1964. But 1965? They could have been official champs.

I remember watching this game on the day after Thanksgiving. I was absolutely glued to my seat during the second half and OT... Great game and win for the Hogs.
my dad took me to a hooters to watch this game in little rock because he realized last minute it was about to come on. were not ready for it. so entertaining. that place was a god damned mad house, i couldnt believe we got a seat. there was a table full of purple and yellow wearin LSU fans and the shit talking was through the roof. people were buying them drinks and they were buying people drinks. was such an awesome vibe. hoping to never forget that. when the game ended, the hooters staff grabbed some razorback shirts and put them on the LSU fans, like 6 of these people, and cleared a path to the front door. yeah they got free razorback shirts, but they were shit talked and booed and cheered out of that place when that game ended.
Man, this game was stacked with a lot of future NFL players. DMC, Felix, Hillis, Flynn, LaFell, Jacob Hester, Craig Steltz, etc... SEC football at its finest.
Probably the most satisfying game I ever attended. Dad and I in our Razorback red, sitting in a sea of purple and gold. After the interception that ended the game, it took a second or two to sink in that it was actually over, and Arkansas had won! There was one guy behind us going on the whole game about how there’s no way LSU loses to Arkansas. After it ended, I thought about the fact that I could be a dick about it, but nah, I decided to be nice. I just turned around and said good game, offered a handshake, which he did, but it was evident that he wasn’t thrilled lol. Oh well, I’d rather him have that memory of a Razorbacker, than the memory of one who was an ass.
Sitting in the upper deck for this game and it was a long one. So disappointed when they lost but was so happy when they beat OSU for the Natty! Good game arky. That backfield was legendary
Instant classic. Two goofy coaches, best backfield since the okie st guys in the 80s, and thrilling finish. Gawd I hate LSU and this win felt awesome. Surprising ending to the Nutt era.
This game kicked off what I consider the best weekend in modern college football history. SEC teams alone participated in no less than four instant classics (the game above, the Egg Bowl with MSU's 17 point 4th quarter comeback, Tennessee-Kentucky that went to 4 OT, and Clemson-South Carolina, which Clemson won on a walkoff field goal).
Didnt like the crowd shushing at the end, but it was a competitive game and obviously at this point, feelings were running high. One of the greatest games, and teams we've ever had
Those fans deserved to be shushed. The worst in all of sports. This was a good Hog team, but it only went 8-5 so I wouldn't put them up there with one of the greatest teams in school history. Definitely one of the more talented groups though. Should have been a lot better year than it was.
Michael Smith, the 4th string running back that rarely got to play because of the three headed monster ahead of him, rushed for over 1000 yards the next season when those guys were gone.
