Just because you asked it, for me you certainly should do a full '95 Nascar Season! It would be great, a real adventure throughout some piece of captivating Nascar history! I'm looking foreward to something like this by you, Man 😃!!!
I literally just got into NR2003 yesterday. This game is so awesome. I haven't gotten into any mods yet apart from some graphical improvements. However I have a little problem with it. I can't use my TH8A shifter because the game doesn't recognise it. Does anybody have any advice? PS.: I love your videos. It's awesome how you include historical facts while still performing pretty awesome.
Clearly, Jeoff Bodine was running Hoosier tires...Liked when you tucked in behind John Andretti already knowing he passed away. Doesn’t matter what you upload, they’re all very well done videos and always enjoyable.
It would be great to see “J . William “ in the #65 do the ‘95 season with an era appropriate sponsor on the car something like Red Dog beer or Taco Bell , or maybe Sun Drop soda by the way which car brand was the #65 running?
How were you able to maintain the aspect ratio of the cockpit when applying a widescreen edit? My NR2k3 stuff has been sitting idle for 15 years mainly because I could not properly get widescreen to work correctly. Most of the time everything outside of the car would properly be in 16:9 but then the cockpit would strangely be only in the middle part of the screen at 4:3. So the left and right sides of the screens would be wide open and look like you were missing the sides of the car. There was another edit that was the same as above with the outside contents being correct aspect, but then 4:3 cockpit would be stretched to 16:9 (instead of seeing more of the cockpit) so it would look squished and all your gauges would be weird oval looking.
The one I use in this video is available as individual cars here. Just need to scroll down and on the next pages as well. nnracing.com/info.asp?pagenumber=2&sortby=15&userid=9576
I've never done any oval racing before. Would you recommend this to someone just starting their simracing journey who wants to give ovals a go. I'm only interested in racing AI so iRacing doesn't appeal.
The only problem with NR2003 is the high line never works because cars aren't quicker up top/bind up on the bottom, so shortest distance driven always wins.
There were some modded Daytona and Talladega tracks that upped the grip on the high line to compensate. I can remember winning a race at Daytona in the American Sim Racing League and never left the outside wall all race long, with teammates pushing me. Was a very unique (and stressful) experience in NR2003, which is probably why I can remember it over 15 years later. Problem back in the day online was that you were dealing with human players with differing skill levels, some degree of latency, and software where any corner contact was deadly. So it ended up usually being a double file parade with attempts to go 3 wide almost always ending in tragedy thanks to driver error and latency. So none of the leagues I participated in seemed to stick with them for very long. But for an offline race with AI taking the human equation out (Other than yourself behind the wheel) and no latency concerns, one of those modded tracks just might yield a good result if NR2003's AI is able to exploit it.
You gotta go with Earnhardt though. Are you running hi-res textures/graphics mods? Looks really good. I haven't played this in a long time but I still have it somewhere.
Has anybody had any success in the top lane? No matter which version of Daytona or AI%, I have never been able to get the top lane moving when I'm up there
Can someone link me to some good active forums on this game? It would really help me because for some reason the crew at Stunodracing was very rude to me when i tried to request an amendment to my account, they have since banned my ip, and i really dont want to buy a new rig just to sign on to their site.
Personally, I'd watch the hell out of a '95 season. Thanks for the awesome content!
This game is my teenage years. So many hours put into it.

id run a 95 season with you....I have to agree those were the best looking cars back then
Yes, it would be awesome if you could do nr2003 1995 season. Just recently found your channel and have been enjoying your gpl season series.
Just took delivery today (and have NASCAR Legends on the way). Looking forward to getting on the track.
I was hoping Dale Earnhardt would of held on to win because he won every single Gatorade Twin 125's that he entered in the 90's.
This game brings back so many memories man love it

Can I ask what you use to make these video's with? I myself would like to post up some of my games. Thanks in advance
I use OBS to capture the racing footage and then Sony Vegas to edit it all together
@@GPLaps Thanks a lot man, I will checkall that out, Been itching to make some videos.
What settings do you have for the antialiasing and texture details/filtering, and what spotter pack is that?

Ive not had that issue but it sounds like an odd one! I was able to apply the reslution through the config program without any issue
@GPLaps
I have dug and dug and dug but I cant find a 95 Carset for the Cup98 Mod, or a good 96 carset either. Any ideas onw here to look?

id say this would be great practice for you...not to mention that iracing who was formerly papyrus witch are the makers of this game
Which version of Daytona is that, and where did you find it?

Can we find current NASCAR mods for this game!?
Apparently there is one called MENCS 18 or 19.
Still one of the great sims of all time, and I hate oval racing!
how do you add mods Iv watched videos and it just doesn’t work
Maybe you're playing an older version of the game

what graphic mod are you using
Nothing special really, just the stock game with the 1998 mod.
The inability to mod the physics of this game is an absolutely huge achilles heel. Otherwise, it's incredibly good.
???? there are physics mods. not to mention this games tops any other nascar game in physics
what spotter mod are you running been looking for a decent one
lets run a race sometime!!!!
I run right after the real races every weekend !!!
Search for the "JJ Spotter Pack"
Restrictor plates never created any awesome racing. At least not in the real world.
