Although I live in North AL,....I've fished this area with friends that live there for over 40 years. Gorgeous place to fish,....plus, that Paddlefish was a bonus.....never seen one in that river. Great video man....thanks!
If anyone ever wanted to do a documentary or video on how awsome and beautiful our area is here in southeast Tennessee, your video footage really let's people see places you'll never see from the road. Love you videos and as always some awesome fish caught today. The smallie was rare!!
Yeah I’m definitely jealous of the beauty you guys get to enjoy every day. Ever since I started fishing though I started getting out and walking creeks and been seeing the beauty of my area that I never would’ve seen before.
What a beautiful and scenic place to float. Really liked your choice of music on this video. The fishing turned out to be a perfect day. I think for the scenery, the music, and the fish, this is one of my favorite videos thus far.
I think if I did a lot of skinny river fishing (I’m mostly inshore saltwater) I’d get a 10’ paddle yak with a power pole, like NDKayakangler. I think locking in position is most impt. Nice vids
Love seeing the John Dalton Signature Series Combo Doing the jobe for you. The Paddlefish was awsome. I just fish ponds and creekas around Chattanooga and don't get up your way very often. Keep fishing those creeks and ponds and I will keep smashing that like button. Gos Bless You....
There are commercial fishermen that target Spoonbill fish during a short season. They get freshwater caviar from them and it pays good money per pound. Great video today and have a Blessed Day.
That yum dinger seems to be your new favorite soft plastic. I got some I think green pumpkin colored ones that work good out here. Think my favorite soft plastic though is a black blue spec rage craw.
you want to do more floats on high flow rivers and streams and get a fish painter and gps spot lock motor - be picky - they might not be there yet? look at all the players - i think most of the time the fish are around the high flow areas - jet boat from rapids to rapids works best sometimes - think about branching out to dunking big bluegills in big ponds - you should target some pbs this summer
Really enjoy your channel. Love the beautiful water. I got I do a fair amount of Creek fishing and it would be very helpful if each episode you would show exactly what lures you're using and talk about how you hook the bait for example You're nikko baits And the yum dinger. Great channel keep up the good work.
Great viedo, you keep getting better with the footage. Love to watch your viedos. Going to do some wade fishing soon. Have the hellgramites ready to catch em all.
Great video, John. Thank you. This is one of my favorite videos you have done: Excellent scenery, audio and video quality was great, and you did an awesome job getting those underwater shots of the paddlefish. Thank you!
My invite for the calfkiller stands ,i do not own a kayak nor can my old knees deal with it( well maybe on a good day).fun vid .its a interesting river....different.
Beautiful float on the Ocoee ! Nice smallie and good footage of the paddlefish. Interesting save on the tangled up fish. I hope you will do an additional float down through there again sometime. Always be safe. Randy B.
Paddlefish are so weird and cool. I don't know that I have ever actually seen one like that. That was pretty cool underwater footage. Glad the water was so clear!
Great job 👍. I've found that when the bass hit a spinner Bate Short I use a trailer hook and catch more.. thanks again for a other time to remember when I was younger doing the same thing. I even learn many things I thought I knew 😂
Started fishing with my 2 boys two weeks ago and found your channel.. great tips and thanks for sharing the sites... we have a lot of places to go.. hope we meet some day.. currently doing/learning fishing at Jefferson Springs Recreation Area and its fun!
Beautiful place! 😍 We'll start sharing your channel to our clients who recently bought land from us near the lake. They'll surely learn awesome ideas from you. Thanks for sharing!
Good video as usual. That's some pretty water. I could stay on that little river all day and really probe more of those deep pools, and rocky areas where the water looks "fishy".
Going back today too the new private lake I got permission to fish last week where I caught 30+ Largemouth @ last week. I'm targeting the bigs today. I'll lyk how it went. Not going until after work @ 4pm. But I kinda like the late afternoon/evening bite. "Top Water Time"
Fishing in rivers, you should invest in a Micro Power Pole . Anchor system max control stop your drift, hold you I’ve position to fish . Keeps you out of trees max fishing so you don’t slow up your fishing. A must for river fishing, big money , long run worth the money. Holds you in position while fighting a fish.
I'm frustrated. I've been wading a couple of times on a fork of the Flint River in Alabama. I've tried a ned rig with both the TRD worm and crawfish, small crank baits, and even nightcrawlers and only caught three rock bass and 2 small red breast. No smallmouth. What am I doing wrong? Wrong time of year? Should I try another stretch of River or another creek?
I have to confess that watching another awesome video John, I have thoughts of covetousness wanting to do what you do LOL. Just kidding but it sure is appealing floating down such a clear river catching fish. You are a blessed child of God.
That is a beautiful river! I would love to take a 4 day trip starting from the dam or the powerhouse on the other river with camping along the way. I've been wanting to do that for years.
Awesome adventure and man that scenery. Your start was killer, quality fish and decent numbers, fighting that current like a boss. I haven't explored TN yet but in southern KY and in IL it pays to get off the trails. Keep them coming brother, blessings 🙌
The look of the places is breathtaking I mean it, is just to be going down it would be nice awesome fishing is a bonus Fantastic video John Like that bonus underwater footage on the paddlefish I like how you still having so much fun I know you enjoy your job where it's not like a job but an adventure Duh duh creek fishing adventure hahaha!
John another great video. I have floated that river with the youth from our church but never had the opportunity to fish. Where are you getting your Yum dingers baits in that color. I can't find them anywhere.
