After receiving the Eucharist at Mass today, I kneeled and out of a compulsion I cannot explain I prayed, "God thank you for your church. Thank you for allowing me to receive you. I hunger more and more for you." This afternoon, I listened to Lila's speech and have to wonder at her description of her first encounter with the Eucharist. She felt a hunger for it. I pray all people will come to know that hunger for our Lord.
I chose Saint Joan of Arc when I was converting because she was one of the first saints I’d ever learned about as a Protestant child and my whole life, I looked up to her. When it came time to choose a patron saint… I knew it didn’t need to be complicated, I needed the courage of Joan and in a way, I felt that she’d been walking with me my whole life, leading me to this point. Who better? Also, St. Theresa of Calcutta wasn’t canonized yet 😅 (but she is special to my son and I as well and made her presence known the day he was born and she was canonized). Lila is a very special person and I am honored to share a confirmation/patron Saint with her!

Lila. As a devout Catholic who lives i extreme poverty. It exists. A a 8 yr parishoner. My priest who not even know me. I am 62 been pro+ life. Prayed and worked with pro- life. Our Catholic parishes. Do basically nothing to help mothers chooseing life. Almost all Catholic podcasters ask for money while smoking expensive cigars. There is a reality after choosing life. Our Catholics lend a blind eye. Growing up fatherless in the Ghetto. Prison their future. Planned Parent hood anout greed. Devalue of life. Our corporation now are investing in for profit prisons. With a 100% goal. We as Catholics have got to do better. Life at all stages.

Jesus said that we partake of the "bread from Heaven that gives Eternal Life -- by BELIEVING/faith in Jesus -- NOT by consuming Jesus' flesh/blood -- *read John 6:34-35 again.*
