⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ R46 B Train! Rush Hour Rolling Stock Substitution

Due to a temporary shortage of serviceable R68/A-type subway cars for the afternoon rush hour, this train of R46s was pressed into service on the B line. Here we see several views of this train running on the B line all over the city!
This is an excellent example of resourceful, creative, and smart service management strategies employed to ensure good service for the riding public! It’s also quite unusual, as R46s have not operated on the B line in recent times. Enjoy!

Extra extra rare! Usually I took them on the D line when the N was on the fritz and did not want to ride local the whole way on the R.

It's kinda rare to see that rolling stock on that line. The B ane D are the only B division lines to not run trains with LCD/LED signs. Great to see though.

Some R160’s for the R line are stored in Coney Island Yard but not maintained there. So something like this could theoretically happen with an R160 but the chances are much lower.
