MINIATURE DIARY 2 - The next miniature we will build together is the Mobile launcher. I hope you brought beer because I don't have any this time, and I'm thirsty. - Фільми й анімація
'That's if you believe any of this actually happened' , oh mate... You crack me up. Another miniture masterpiece, in both narration and prop. Props to you sir!
Haha. Thanks! Don't trust the government!! 🤣🤣
Amazing. Chuck Yeager used to live down from me when I was a kid. My grandpa hung out with him on occasion. Moon landing was real, for creminy sakes, haha
Hahaha, I know it was. I was joking :D
Cool story about Yeager! I will mention The Right Stuff in one of the next videos. Sam Shepard did a great job as Yeager.
THESE GUYS ARE SO DAMN TALENTED
Watching these miniatures get built fascinates the hell out of me for some reason. I'm never going to try to do any of it, yet it's so cool to see.
10:05 so good! Miniatures never cease to amaze me either.
They are indeed magical! :)
I haven't seen anything like this for a long time. Dudes working hard to simply create what they want the world to see, stuff they believe in. Craftmanship, creativity, humor, free spirited, unconventional, amazing creations and storytelling is what springs to mind. Not to forget the guts to do these things.
Great stuff guys, much appreciated!
Thanks a lot for the lovely comment! ❤
Laser cutters never cease to amaze me.
Yes sir! I could watch you paint and glue all damn day. What a blast!
Thanks a ton!
When I was young I toured NASA and I stood beside the transporter as it was moving the Space Shuttle Columbia. It’s an awe inspiring event.
Wow, I can imagine! I mean... I can't even imagine! 🤣I bet it's three times bigger than what I can imagine!
@@sliceoflifefilmanother thing about the transporter that was interesting, it moves very slowly. For good reason I suppose because you don't want to dump a space shuttle. I can't remember exactly how slow it moves, but it wasn't miles per hour, rather it was miles per week.
Space is FAKE and CGI.
The stencils look great, but have you considered custom waterslide decals? Uses existing any paper printer and the paper isn’t going to break the bank.
The fun facts about the launcher and rocket were nice additions btw.
Yes! I did buy some decal paper later. It works great, unless you need white decals because most printers don't have that option. I will use it in one of the next videos! ;)
For thin, strong material to cut you can use the plastic stuff that they stick on kitchen cabinets. It's about 0.5mm thick and cuts ok
That they more or less stick on kitchen cabinets. It comes off in the end. But having said that, check if it is not PVC.....PVC and laser cutters don't mix. It creates chlorine gas that will destroy your laser printer (and you, as it is toxic) as it is corrosive.
Yes, exactly! It's not safe to cut everything! Gotta be sure about the material type.
What a sick model, I’m constantly impressed by your film and model making skills throughout this series. Been really enjoying the bts videos so far!
Very happy to hear that! Thanks a lot!
What a blast! 🚀
The ghosts of Apollo astronauts who literally sat on an explosion into outer space, watching this and shaking their heads in disappointment. 😂 Also, I request react videos to old school miniatures in films. Might be good for content.
Yea that would be cool! Thanks!
More awesome work! If the final movie is only half as interesting as these videos, it's going to be fantastic. 👍
Haha! Hope so!
Yes! Yes! Another wonderful model!
Wow, it looks awesome in the sunset!!
Thank you! :D
You guys actually paused your burger bonanza to upload this. You are the BEST!!!!!
Hahaha! That's how we roll!
Huge props to the guys making tiny props 😂
😂
I've been absolutely loving this series. Your commitment and dedication to your craft is truly inspiring!
Thank you so much!
Awesome build as always
incredible bro!! Cannot wait to see the additional magic you guys add in post!!!!
amazing stuff. at dawn lots of tiny lights all over it. other wise spot on shots as always.
OH YES! Those would have been amazing. We don't have a dawn shot in the film so I didn't include them.
Fantastic video! I did not know that is why NASA painted their rockets like that. Also, love that joke at the end about the moon landing.
I also didn't know it before. I learned it while making this video! Pretty cool!
Yes it is.
Awesome work as usual!
Each video teaches me something 😀
This is just amazing. I only discovered your channel tonight and I’m hooked!
Welcome aboard!
I've build crawler with 3d printer three years ago. I thought NASA doesn't show 3d print data at that time. I've drawing all with fusion360 and printed them.
Awesome! I bet it was a lot of work!
Outstanding work presented in such a delightful way, Kudos guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This model is so coooooool. I want one now ! 😂 Amazing work.👏
Thanks! 😃
Very nicely done yet again
🥰🥰
Wonderful to watch you work. Regarding the platform, I saw it in motion and it's really huge, as in "are you kidding me?" huge. Standing next to the "crawlers" make you wonder whether you are hallucinating.
So cool. I'd love to see it in person one day!
So easy to watch your videos. ❤❤❤❤
Brilliant work. Love all the behind the scenes content on your channel. So cool!!
Thanks a lot for watching!
Fantastic! Super inspiring
Those crawlers if the Tour Guides are to be believed do one mile to 30 gallons.I have seen them myself.
Crazy!!!
This is really great I learned lots of stuff from you thank you waiting for your movie
Happy to hear that!
Amazing work, man! Congratulations!
Cheers...
Thanks a lot!
Fantastic as always
Thanks a lot Rodolfo!
In another video, you mentioned using hot glue over superglue because it cures faster.
I recommend adding an accelerator spray to your toolbox. It allows superglue to cure very quickly, speeding up assembly. Additionally, accelerators create stronger bonds, making your model sturdier. They also help reduce mess during assembly.
Accelerator sprays + superglue can even be used together with regular glue. Simply attach the pieces with a few dabs of superglue and accelerator, then use regular glue for a stronger final bond. This way, you can assemble things quickly without breaking the bank on superglue, and still achieve a very sturdy result.
Here's a bonus tip for DIY enthusiasts: Superglue also cures very fast with baking soda. It's a cheap alternative to accelerator spray. You can either apply the baking soda first, then add the glue, or add the glue and sprinkle the baking soda on top. While not as neat as using an accelerator spray, it is much cheaper and baking soda can be used to fill voids too.
Ah yes I know about accelerators but it still hasn't become a thing here in Croatia so I would have to order internationally and it would quickly become too expensive. But I'm keeping an eye out for sure 😉😉
looks amazing
wonderful model making and an excellent video 😃 Verey funny and interesting 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Beautiful!
Awesome video and job 🙌😊👍🍀🙏
We went to the moon, and you were very informative and interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your videos so, so much!
Very happy to hear that! 😊😉😉
An old buddy of mine used to sit at the top in a lounge chair with an air horn for the modern space shuttle to scare birds off. Sat up there with a book. Some jobs are just cool!
Haha. No way! That was his job? Some jobs ARE cool!
@@sliceoflifefilm yep! I can’t remember what he said he was paid but he’d basically sit up there reading cheesy paperbacks. Workin hard or hardly workin?!
Nice!
Slick model
This dude is really funny:)
1:38 "huge props to these guys" - wouldn't it technically be small props since they're miniatures? ;p
Haha, you're not wrong there!
God I enjoy your videos and commentary ;-))))
😂😂 Thanks brotha!!
Great job, Luka! Dont outsource your rocket building! I added a similar yet more clever comment, but i think it was on the wrong video. Well, it's almost beer 30, so there's that ha ha
Haha. No outsourcing! No worries! Cheers Doug!
Great video.
" Life in the crawler" . I wonder if they would let you drive the crawler into a drive-in movie theater.
Looking forward to next week's episode!
haha. I'm sure I would encounter a lot of logistical problems. But I'm still determined to do it one day! :D
Imagine having a movie theater inside the crawler and then driving it into a drive-in.
@@sunderark Mindblown!!! :D
Woooow
Earth is flat, everything was filmed 😁 And you are doing awesome job! Thanks for the video.
🤣
Very nice! May I ask where did you get those machinist blocks? having a hard time finding then in Croatia
Hey. I ordered them from Banggood i think. 😉
what about hardwood veneers for a think material?
Not bad. Could work I guess. Only downside I can think of is that it could easily snap along the wood grain though.
Beautiful work, did you make a base without the crawler treads? That is a separate machine, and doesn't stay under the platform once the tower is in it's launch location.
I must admit I haven't researched it that deeply, haha. But we have only one shot of the rocket on the launch pad and the tracks are not visible, so I hope we're good 🤣
@@sliceoflifefilm At a distance you might be able to hide them with the smoke effect of the launch, if that type of event is planned.
The moon landing was hoaxed by Slice of Life! Btw, I experienced a big difference in the use of 'Liquid CA glue' vs 'gel CA glue' especially when pasting parts together with a bit of a gap in between them. Personally I'm not a fan of a glue gun close to 3D printedparts (temperature). Great model man, love your work!
Hahahah. Thank you! :D
I think we actually went to the Moon, even though its all very suspicious 👍
maybe I missed it but what is the material that you engraved?
It's a 3mm poplar plywood. Birch would work too I guess.
@@sliceoflifefilm Thank you. Big fan.
Chinese Man - Too Late by any chance?
Where’s the newest video?
Just exporting!
Don't tell Buzz it was fake. also Mythbusters does a great job debunking moon landing conspiracies.
Haha, yea, don't tell Buzz 😂😉😉
For the algorithm 🤟
🤣🤣 soo funny that you pointed out the need for your Wife (the unsung hero of Slice is Life)’S scrunchy!!
I would not have noticed.
Now…. I don’t want to create more global conflict…
But could more money be spent in a good PR campaign to move us ALL to metric??!??
I just makes sense
Imagine…
Units of measurement in event 10 x 10 incrimenents? 😂🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🌏🤔
Haha.. Hey that's your country's problem. We already are in metric 🤣
@@sliceoflifefilm no, Australia is metric! Hence why I’m giving the other “developed “ nations that are sticking to the, Inches, Yards, Miles etc….a hard time
Talk about fast track to the future 😜
Even units of measure people!!
Meanwhile, back to the unnecessary building of miniatures and attention to special effects, that we ALL love!! 💕🤘
Top!
