So I actually thought the paper on the curtain was intentional. Back in the 60s and 70s, you would find glitter on television curtain backdrops. Catch the light? No clue. In black and white, it looked natural for the time period. Really really nice touch having the older gentleman, the TV reporter, who interviewed the real astronauts there. Very classy touch.
Always fun to see the behind the scenes - all the work that goes into a film big or small - Merry Christmas to all. Looking forward to 2024 with you guys. Cheers!
Thank you so much for this series!!! You guys are amazing and a massive inspiration 🙌 The titles in the end were brilliant! Can't wait for the finished film
This is amazing. I'm binge watching all your videos, lol! As an aspiring filmmaker, these videos definitely serve as advice of what to do on a set when directing a shortfilm.
Really a superb job!!! We can see some color shots... will there be a cinemascope color version, or was everything planned on the sets for 4:3 black and white?
Will this have genuine filmed titles / credits? That would look amazing. I just watched pearl and thought it was really good, but the digital recreations of the tiles looked way too clean. Would love you guys to do it old school
I wanted to do it completely old school and film paper cutouts for real but in the end we ran out of time. It would take weeks to do it like that. So in the end I did it digitally but tried to make it look as real as I could. I plan to dedicate one of these videos to title designs. :)
@@sliceoflifefilm i genuinely cant get over how talented you guys are. There are a lot of low budget film makers on UA-cam whos whilst being good almost always look ‘amateur’. You guys seem to be different. The end product looks like it was made at a much higher end scale. Are you guys in the film making industry? Or are your day jobs unrelated? Cant wait for more
@@tbip2001 Thank you very much! We're not in the film making industry although the dream is to one day be able to live from making films. Our day job is making TV commercials. 😉
You guys should do a separate backstory short film where Neil Armstrong accidentally solved the backwash problem as a result of him drinking too much Doctor PeePee

By a stroke of coincidence, he is a husband of one of our costume department members. So we invited him to come over! Talk about serendipity, huh?! :D
Absolutely loving this series!
Great to hear that!
Loved the Pulp Fiction ending! 🤩
Ken is such a comfortable actor

Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas to you too! ;)
Watching these for a second time, brilliant insight on a great production. Great work.
The colors and lighting on the behind the scenes camera looked fantastic on the interview set!

Madame Maca is allowed to swear and cough as much as she likes since her work is superb!
Couldn't agree more!
I'm so jealous! One day, I will make movies. One day.
Well, you do have a knack for acting. One day! 🤞🤞
Waiting for your film-
Thanks you!

Well yes, it was definitely planned for B/W 4:3, but color shots could work in most cases. Who knows, perhaps one day... ;)

Absolutely amazing talent. I think I’ve missed it but how was this funded? What was the budget?
Thank you! ! We talk about it in the first video: ua-cam.com/video/d-60LU7ocZY/v-deo.htmlsi=Yph9LRkdf02zsPki

Svaka čast za Dobroslava. Kak ste došli do njega?
Ispalo je da je suprug jedne članice Costume departmenta pa smo ga pozvali. Slučajnost! 😊
