"I like how ya do it! Not the usual exalted rapperwannabe kiddo with hat, here you are a serious man doing a professional review, a calm man that speaks relaxed and put the viewer on a sofa with a warm cover on him." Sincerely, your new sub.
I have mine set up with 10w oil, Traxxas soft springs (I think white rating) and the front drag links adjusted so they don't interfere as much with the axle housing while under full articulation and the bump stop spacers removed. The kit is a bit over priced but it makes a big difference for crawling when properly set up. Made mine long travel.
I just added this to my channel as it helped me a ton , Thank you Francis , my Trx 4 is actually pretty sweet now !
I love the energy of this video. The euphoria and excitement for the hobby is contagious!
You saved me money my friend thank you, very interesting video I've been wondering about the kit for some time, this video just popped on my feed! Love the honesty as usual brother!!
As for spacer removal, rear is fine front cut in half per side cos if one removes both front the axle will flex more on the passenger side and driver side hits the servo drop mount...
I.just installed the lift on blazer and took about 2 hours and yes it's pretty involved for sure. I just got into R/C and crawling so can't really give my 2 cents on the pros and cons of the lift for crawling. But it sure looks cool. So will fine time as I go and learn. Great vid keep it up 👍
Rewatched this after installing the lift kit on my Defender. Gonna grab me some of the softer springs. Although I did remove the shock spacers I went with some 2.2 Proline BFG Baja KR2 for my tires and some dual stage foams.
I never thought of the TRX-4 as a Mega Truck but when Harley Designs did that one it looked great. I remember when the TRX-4 first came out Traxxas called it a basher. I don't see it that way.
Your reviews are great with great insights about products. I use alot of your ideals they have always worked great. I got into this hobby because of my son he started watching your video before me. Now here I am a R/C ROCK CRAWLER JUNKY. Great job with videos thanks.
Thankyou for your honesty. I thought about lifting, until your video. It all makes sense now.
New fan, subscriber here, really appreciate your knowledgeable straightforwardness. Thanks!
Nice to see some honest reviews instead of just people trying to sell you the upgrade kits
Have a gen 8 red cat but cant wait to pull the trigger on the trx 4 blazer way cool on the features
Ordered mine from my local shop today. $129 for colored kit, $119 for black. As I mention on another of your videos he also sells Sport RTR $299, Bronco $399, Blazer $429. No where online can come close to those prices.
if you want more flex get longer shocks and put them on for a fraction of the price. i did it with my trx-4 tactical
Where did you go to school Francis? You are one brilliant man. Your narrations are so very helpful all the way to more recent videos.
I just got my kit dropped off by UPS today. I chose the black, not because of price but my choice of color. I personally think it looks better. Not so flashy and eye catching. It is a Long Arm Lift Kit, not a long travel kit. I wanted it to enable use of bigger tires. Not the 2.2 but the 1.9 Super Swamper XL (4.75”)
Thank you your the only person I’ve heard say the size of the original shocks. Good review 👍
