Just read that Fourth wall charges a 5% transaction fee for all sales and additional fees for digital products and credit card payments have a 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee for US based credit card transactions. So factor that into your product listing prices
Not sure where you read that, but it's misinformation. I just read through their terms of service and they do not charge a 5% transaction fee on all sales. They charge 5% for memberships, 3% for digital products, and 3% + .30 for credit card transactions--which is pretty standard.

Just monthly memberships. But it is a bit confusing. They outline the fees in their Pricing Page. They do charge the credit card processing fee. That is standard - all platforms (Stripe/Etsy/Shopify etc) pass on the payment processing fees that VISA/Mastercard/AMEX etc charge onto to merchant 🙏 so that will get deducted out of the money the customer paid, no matter what. That isn't a Fourth Wall fee though, that is the card processing fees.

Thanks for this video. I was looking for a way to sell designs for Tshirts, but didn't think it was wise to use credit cards at this time. Early in, I wondered how Fourh Wall made money. Then you explained they took the Printify discounts. For brand consistency, it's customary to establish hexadecimal numbers for the colors. So, when you adjust the color to a brown, you could have entered the known hex number. (Similarly companies choose specific Pantone numbers for professional printing of their brand colors.) I noticed that you left out one part of the use of credit cards: the first class flights you take using the points. ✈️ I remember that from videos you made a while back.
I'm thinking about just going back to basics with teespring. So many companies are just re-inventing the wheel here, really, just leaving us creators so confused, to which one is best. It makes your head spin.
But this one is completely different in it's approach to POD. If you watch the video completely all the way through, Sarah explains it all very simply and easy to understand.
🎯 Stay focused on your financial goals, and let nothing distract you from your path. With clear intentions and determined actions, you will achieve financial success. 💪
Haha yes I know the feeling. Printful's pricing is very close to Printify's though with the membership. I would only look at Fourthwall as a stepping stone for testing an idea. Once you get traction, you would switch to your own Shopify store & get a Printful membership.
Thank you for the video and education, Sarah. This is the first I've heard of FW and I wonder... if I open a store, upload my designs and make sales, then decided to leave FW for any reason, do my designs stay with me or does FW own them? Any advice is welcome and appreciated!
Yeah, it looks like a gamechanger!! I'll have to investigate further in regard to which countries they can sell to (assuming it's everywhere that Printful have a warehouse??)
Well . . . Love the video, good job. Looks like I have to start finding another platform. I remember when Etsy was a little secret until content creators wouldn't shut up about it. Now its so saturated, its hard to make a living. There was a reason that not many knew about fourth wall. . . .
Wow Lady, you are just a Blessing to us all. Thank you so much for your Jewels and Treasures of knowledge. Do you mind elaborating on this bit here: 2:35 ...something about as long as we have 25 bucks in our Wallet? Is this the Printful Wallet? Also, do you know what happens if you "dont" have cash in your wallet? Thanks
Good question! So, you need to have earned $25 before they will send you your money. This is usually done because it costs money in processing fees, for them to send you money. So a lot of websites will have minimum thresholds that need to be met, before they'll send money. For Fourthwall, the smallest payout they'll do is $25.
I have 2 questions: 1. Do you have to create a printful account as well and intergrate it or does it intergrate automatically? 2. Can you get paid with paypal? I would appreciate your answer 😊
1) No, you don't need a Printful account because you aren't ordering the items from Printful. It is Fourth Wall ordering the items from Printful, using their corporate account. 2) I don't think PayPal is a payout option but I might be wrong, I'm not quite sure.
Hello Sarah, first AMAZING video and an even MORE AMAZING study course. Quick question, do you know the size for the banner and logo / favicon - Thank you 🎉
@WholesaleTed Sarah, I was talking about similar platforms like Redbubble, Zazzle and the likes. You open your store with their products. It is not simply hosting like Shopify or hosting companies.
@WholesaleTed I think you are confused. FW is a similar platform like Redbubble, Zazzle. You open a store with their products. It has hosting elements, but has nothing to do with Shopify or hosting companies.
It is nothing like RedBubble or Zazzle tbh, out of RedBubble/Zazzle/Shopify it is most similar to Shopify, and it has the least in common with RedBubble & Zazzle. RedBubble & Zazzle are effectively very large POD stores that sell their own POD products that they produce. They allow artists to upload their art to sell on their POD products. The artists are paid a commission each time a product sells. RedBubble & Zazzle advertise and promote their own stores. Fourth Wall is much more similar a web hosting company that allows people to set up their own websites. Like how Shopify includes a store software suite in their web hosting, Fourth Wall include their own store software suite. You have your own domain name, and it is your own website. It is up to you to advertise your own store. The closest thing it is similar to is a Printify Pop up Shop. After that, it is most similar to a Shopify store. Most people would choose to use it, in-place of a Shopify store because it fulfills the same role. It is the least like Zazzle/RedBubble 🙏
Thanks for your insight! What sites do you mostly use for the print on demand products such as shirts or mugs etc? Do you only use one website or more?
I have never seen your channel before and this video was very Interesting. I will try my best to make this work, just as you have laid it out. God willing there will be some cash flow. I am curious about the integration to my bank account and how that works out. Thank you for this video. You are a remarkable young lady. Great video as always!!! If it fits in your topic queue, I'd love to hear what you think of Gelato. It seems like it's suddenly popping up everywhere I look though I never heard of it before.
Hi Sarah , Love the video have a quick question if you open a new store this way can you later move it to Spotify once you’re financially able to do so or are you locked in to stay this way?
Great video. I am intrigued. Does this new method effect linking our products to Etsy? Does Forthwall prevent linking our products to platforms outside of their own platform? Thanks Sarah. 😀👍
Yes you absolutely can do that. And I'd always recommend opening up a store outside of Etsy if you can, to supplement it to have both (an Etsy store + an external store). You could do that either with Fourthwall, or Shopify.
Again, an amazing idea for one of my t shirt niches ideas ! but I have a question: can you open multiple stores on Fourthwall? if you make separate accounts using separate email addresses ?
Hi Sarah, hope you are doing great. Thank you for inspiring me. Thank you so much. So i would like to know how to sponsor one of your videos. Please? Do you have a website and or contact? Kindly let me know. PS. You are amazing. You just don't know how much inspiration you are giving out to your fans. ❤
Oh my goodness, thank you!! I’m going to switch a few of my projects this weekend. Maybe if they grow the way I want them to I can switch back to Shopify. Do you know if you can connect a domain that already exists? Also is it just Printful or can you add stuff from Printify as well? Either way, I can work with this. Thanks again!!
You can absolutely switch your domain to Shopify whenever you like. You own the domain, so you can just change which web hosting it is pointing to 🌞 in this tutorial, I effectively point the domain to Fourthwall. But if I wanted to, I could switch it at anytime to point to Shopify instead 🌞 they don't have an integration with Printify at this time, just Printful.
It doesn't get any traffic on it's own, it doesn't advertise the products or stores for you: you will need to do that yourself unfortunately. It isn't a 3rd party marketplace like Etsy or eBay. Instead, it is like a free version of Shopify.
So I guess it's the same thing really...FourthWall acts as a pseudo credit card so you don't have to pay for the POD order right away, but you end up paying a bit more later, much like paying a bit of interest for that convenience.
I've heard of it before. Thanks for doing this video with more detail. I'm just starting to watch the video, but my question would be, does Fourth Wall handle (collect and pay the taxes for) all the state taxes for orders so the creators don't have to?
I'm unsure, but I think it probably does. The business model is a lot like Teespring but instead of them taking on the merch production like Teespring did (which was a big mistake imho) they are outsourcing it to a dedicated, proven POD company (Printful).
@@WholesaleTed Thanks for your quick reply! You're the best! I think they probably do too after listening to the whole video and seeing how their business model works. You're so good at explaining things. I'll find out when I dive in and set up my account. Thank you so much Sarah!
It's clearly being marketed towards content creators. I can tell you from personal experiment that content creators often don't know a ton about things like ecommerce, affiliate marketing etc. So there are startups out there that are trying to streamline the process for them (in-exchange for a cut on the sales). Fourthwall is one of them. They've massively streamlined the process in-exchange of making that Printful discount cut per sale. But because they've only focused their marketing on content creators, it has meant that it's been largely ignored/not noticed by everyone outside of the sphere (including myself). Only when I started to look into it, did I realize it's actually a great option even for non content creators.
@@WholesaleTed Wow! As a Vtuber (a content creator that uses a Virtual avatar), and someone who is friends with other Vtubers, this could be a good thing to look into and share with them.
Wow Sarah Great video! but one question. Do they have their own built in wallet that accepts payments from customers via cards? or do we need stripe or other 3rd party apps? Great Video
In my experience also, the main reason customers return clothing is they order the wrong size. I have cut the vast majority of refund requests, just by selling products that run true to size. The main other reason is if customers get a poorly printed product, which happens very rarely with a good print provider (such as Printful) who will also replace any poorly printed products if there is a printing error.
hi, could you possibly make a video on how to create a print on demand store where people can upload a picture of themselves for example and you can customise the picture then it can be sent out so they would have a customised picture, hope you understand
Two burning questions. 1) Can customers not leave reviews on products? Fourthwall sites are easy enough to find. I don't see any reviews on any of the products. 2) They handle customer support. Do we get customer contact info, our list, so we can mail new product info and discount codes?
I don't think customers can leave reviews, and I am pretty certain that you do, I didn't try doing a test order but there is an order tab with space for what looks like customers order info.
@@WholesaleTed signed up and they've got an ai chatbot. 1) No built-in feature for customers to leave reviews, 2) you do not receive their contact information such as email addresses or payment details.
Fourth Wall has partnerships with multiple POD companies, but their primary one is Printful. I don't know what the other POD companies are, but the vast majority of their products are sourced from Printful. You can't plugin in any additional POD app currently other than what they have in their own catalog.
Hi Sarah! I’ve recently joined your e-commerce Clubhouse so I’m taking notes. BUT - how about taxation ? Especially those from EU? I’ve still never stumbled upon the information. I’d be also sending you an email. Thanks a lot

I'm glad my video could help! Fourthwall does not integrate with Etsy. It is effectively a competitor to Shopify, not to Etsy.
@WholesaleTed Great thanks. So I can sell my products with Eysy, if i create my own Printiful account? Would you recommend utilizing both platforms?
Yes you absolutely can do that. And I'd always recommend opening up a store outside of Etsy if you can, to supplement it to have both (an Etsy store + an external store). You could do that either with Fourthwall, or Shopify.
Again, an amazing idea for one of my t shirt niches ideas ! but I have a question: can you open multiple stores on Fourthwall? if you make separate accounts using separate email addresses ?
I didn't see anything against having multiple stores in their TOS but you should read them to confirm.
Thanks a lot ❤
Can you make a how to set up your store tutorial like you did with shopify please?
Hi Sarah, hope you are doing great. Thank you for inspiring me. Thank you so much. So i would like to know how to sponsor one of your videos. Please? Do you have a website and or contact? Kindly let me know.
PS. You are amazing. You just don't know how much inspiration you are giving out to your fans. ❤
Thank you! I don't do video sponsors sorry, but I hope my videos can help you :)
Do you have to do marketing to get traffic
Thank you Sarah
Seems that FW's stores are more customizable than Printify Pop up shops, is that so?
Thank you for this video Sarah... I had no idea Fourth Wall existed😮
Do you have an estimate of the traffic FW gets each week? Blessings xxx
It doesn't get any traffic on it's own, it doesn't advertise the products or stores for you: you will need to do that yourself unfortunately. It isn't a 3rd party marketplace like Etsy or eBay. Instead, it is like a free version of Shopify.
Thank you for the info... Fourth Wall is still very good for people like me on low incomes
I sure hope FourthWall at least sends you a huge thank you for all the new business you are about to send their way.
Haha they will probably be confused at why they've suddenly got a big intake of users lol!
So I guess it's the same thing really...FourthWall acts as a pseudo credit card so you don't have to pay for the POD order right away, but you end up paying a bit more later, much like paying a bit of interest for that convenience.
You could definitely think of it that way! It also acts as free web hosting, since it has no monthly hosting fees.
@@WholesaleTedThat is an added bonus and one less thing to have to manage.
What about printfy or pop up store? please can you make a video about it?
I actually did make a mini video about it as part of this bigger video here: ua-cam.com/video/AEUeN4a_VCs/v-deo.htmlsi=PMTSb847dn1HZ5Gi&t=442
YOU ARE GREAT ;).
I'LL TRY THAT ONE, IT WOULD BE AN INJUSTICE TO MY NEURONS TO NOT TRY :).
THANS FOR THE INFO!
❤❤❤
Super beneficial as usual .... Thanks a lot!
Do you have any tips/video on how to get a book or spiral bound journal printed?
Of course! Printful offers them, and I think that Spoke Custom Products sell them on Printify. I love the quality from Spoke.
Hallo Sarah, in which market are products from Fourthwall seen? Is it only in the USA or in some other countries?
Printful, which is the Fourth Wall POD partner, ship globally, not just to the USA :)
Interesting! I wonder how Fourth Wall is trying to be different from other store websites?
Ok I am so on this today Ty Wholesale.
Very nice if I can begin from scratch 🥰♥️🌺🌺🌺
I already have an existing store on Shopify, can I migrate my current products to a store on FourthWall? Thanks for your video!
Love your content, it's helped me a lot. Was wondering what hoodies anyone would recommend?
New subscriber 🤙🏽
Thank you for subscribing, I hope you will find my channel helpful! 🙏
Thank you for these videos
I have a question, if you setted your shop life can you still add products affter it went life?
btw really good video
You meant live but yes obviously you can add products whenever you want
Wow Sarah Great video! but one question. Do they have their own built in wallet that accepts payments from customers via cards? or do we need stripe or other 3rd party apps? Great Video
Yes, they do have their own in-built wallet! You don't need Stripe or any third party payment processor.
@@WholesaleTed So My profits I can Withdraw to PayPal? (thank you for your response
Thank you so much for this great information.
I visited the site but couldn't find a link to existing products.
woww thank you all time new ideas great videos its as kdp amazon ?
How do returns get handled? Because clothing is the number 1 retail product that gets returned.
Fourth Wall handle returns, and they have their own return policy
In my experience also, the main reason customers return clothing is they order the wrong size. I have cut the vast majority of refund requests, just by selling products that run true to size. The main other reason is if customers get a poorly printed product, which happens very rarely with a good print provider (such as Printful) who will also replace any poorly printed products if there is a printing error.
Thank you. I appreciate all of your help.
Hi! What do you think of gelato print on demand?
hi, could you possibly make a video on how to create a print on demand store where people can upload a picture of themselves for example and you can customise the picture then it can be sent out so they would have a customised picture, hope you understand
All of this is 100 % true ❤
Two burning questions. 1) Can customers not leave reviews on products? Fourthwall sites are easy enough to find. I don't see any reviews on any of the products. 2) They handle customer support. Do we get customer contact info, our list, so we can mail new product info and discount codes?
I don't think customers can leave reviews, and I am pretty certain that you do, I didn't try doing a test order but there is an order tab with space for what looks like customers order info.
@@WholesaleTed Thanks Sarah as always!!!
@@WholesaleTed signed up and they've got an ai chatbot. 1) No built-in feature for customers to leave reviews, 2) you do not receive their contact information such as email addresses or payment details.
Great information thank you
Sarah, does the site support Personalised Products?
I don't think you could sell personalized products through this
@WholesaleTed Yes, you can, emailed Shopify and there's plenty if videos on here about it too.
Hello and thanks: so fourth wall is working only with printful, not with other print providers?
Fourth Wall has partnerships with multiple POD companies, but their primary one is Printful. I don't know what the other POD companies are, but the vast majority of their products are sourced from Printful. You can't plugin in any additional POD app currently other than what they have in their own catalog.
This is fantastic
Hi Sarah! I’ve recently joined your e-commerce Clubhouse so I’m taking notes. BUT - how about taxation ? Especially those from EU? I’ve still never stumbled upon the information. I’d be also sending you an email. Thanks a lot
I don't discuss taxes because I'm not qualified to give tax advice, but my recommendation is to go to TaxJar they have a lot of information available from qualified professionals and the information is free :)
@@WholesaleTed Thanks a lot ! :)
